I have a somewhat worn copy of Uncanny X-Men #50, with the beautiful cover of Polaris by Jim Steranko. I got it in the early 90's for about $50. The art inside is also spectacular. I think I'd buy the Nick Fury of SHIELD for the Steranko art, it's just so unique. Love getting the vibe by finding the top radio hits the week the book was released! I did something similar not too long ago when I looked up Billboards top hit each month/year, just to see what was on the radio when my sisters and I were born (mine was You Make Me Feel Like Dancing by Leo Sayer... yeesh)

Cause i just think it would present well. Not all my reasons for slabbing are value based. Some stuff just cause…. Theres also a very smalll chance it could hit a 9.9 or a 10 in which case would have a nice price tag on it 👍🏼✌️

Nice collection. It was ALL about the New X-Men back when I was collecting in the early 80's. Any appearance by any of them was a "key" book.

181 was alway valued like it was the first appearance.
