I think your spot on with the vacuum sealer and Bend gate that makes a lot of sense man they shrink wrapped it too hard so it bent the book. Good job brother definitely enjoy your Channel😊😊

Paper is TEFLON sheets or rolls to cut to the size you want. They comes in brown or white. not sure the difference. I only ever got brown. Can you steam the creases lightly, saw a video a few years ago and they used steam. ?

I've not used any grading company yet but I'm thinking CBCS might be the better way to go - was watching another comic content guy and he was finding lots of examples where CBCS value was catching up (or surpassing) CGC.

Hey man quite new to the hobby and learning about it. With so many comic books out there with crazy amounts of key books which are valuable. how do it begin to learn to remember the books which are valuable. I mean I've seen loads of videos where people are picking up these books and know what's the key and the value etc. What can I do to get better. ? Secondly I just began reading comics and thinking about collecting keys. With my limited knowledge is it better to read first (I read digitally) and from the ones that I read I pick up the keys that I like . Would that be a better approach than memorizing and picking up keys what would be your advice?

About knowing covers, knowing the market helps, such as cover artists and content. Key artists covers sell for more. Content such a girlies and bondage also get a premium. Also look for later printings, if not indicated on the cover, inside page detail info. They are usually less printed and more desirable. Speaking of rarity, look at the barcode box. For older books, a slash thru the barcode meant it was direct (comic shop) which were scarce or no slash (newsstand) all over the place. Later when comic shops became more prevalent and mom and pop shops decreased, the opposite happened where the newsstand became more scarce than the direct.

Hey man love the videos . Quite new to comic books and love the idea of comic book collecting . However one question that I want to ask is how do people like you go into the dollar bin and look and shuffle through comic books and find keys . There’s so many books , how does one get better at remembering which comic books are keys and be able to shuffle through boxes like a pro. Anything I can do to become better at this ?? I found this video somewhat useful but it’s a little easier because I’ve been collecting Comics since I was six, now 6 decades later I’m selling my collection, so I don’t have to buy or find my books to sell, still I watched this video for tips.

I watched the whole video, but I still think "buy what you love" is the primary way. The way I collect is this, my favorite characters are Spiderman, Batman, and Superman. So, the only runs I collect are those characters, I only give an exception for Static because there is no trade paperback of the original run. I don't collect all of Batman or Superman of course because Gopden age is too expensive, so instead I collect the Bronze age full run of Batman and Detective comics. I am currently collecting Amazing Spiderman 1-400. Everything else i collect is in trade paperback and single key issues pre 80s to maximize value in my collection. And when I mean keys, I don't mean anything that costs like $10-99, or keys that are modern and overprinted like Ultimate fallout 4, often times those keys will lose money because they are inexpensive, and overprinted. I am talking about collecting keys like Fantastic Four #5, 48, 52. Avengers #1, 4, 57. Brave and the Bold #28, Hawkman #4, House of Secrets #92, The Crow #1, etc.. basically high quality keys of characters i like that have a good chance of retaining value in the future.

Comics grading? I never messed with it, and I'm glad. The ultimate expert and judge is ME. Been buying comic books for over a half century. Kids today wanna pay money to plastic cover pushers? Let 'em go right ahead.

cbcs has been a no brainer for me off the jump what i’ve noticed is cbcs has always had better cases (no need to reslab the book every 5 years to avoid offgassing) more accurate grading pricing and the group forums were pretty cool from what i remember

Speaking of Mark J. Books, I used to get a ton of those (was in the military for 27 years), when I was stationed overseas, I only bought my comics at the military PX (post exchange). I *hated those darn things!* LOL I was so glad when I came back stateside, and I stopped finding them inside my books. I thought that every comic all over the world (for that comic) had one of those bothersome advertisements in them. I didn't hear until recently, that people actually look for them now. Wow, times sure do change! Enjoyed your video as always, stay savage my friend! 😁

I'll give you one. Vehicle repairs. This past year alone almost 8 to 10 grand. Almost a car note a month just to fix something.
