  • You will be amazed at the improvement I saw after replacing the SCV. It's a simple and cheap repair. Do this before replacing injectors
    This is the part I used

    Thanks for the video, my 08 Corolla verso is doing the exact same thing. I was dreading it being fuel pump but will change the SCV first!!

      Your welcome. You will also need to calibrate it. This is where I show you how to do that

    Thanks a lot for this video and complete explanation. Yesterday I removed the valve from our Auris 2.2 d4d since lately it had serious problems starting, very unstable idling and a lot of black smoke when accelerating hard. What I did was clean the inside of the valve at home and reinstall it, the result so far is impressive, the car has returned to normal operation. I decided to do the cleaning before since Toyota has increased the prices of the valve to an outrageous price, they are asking us €600 for the valve without installation. I also did not want to risk buying a compatible valve without being sure that this was the fault, now I am clear. I would like to ask you how the compatible valve that you installed in your car is lasting and working after a year, has everything been going well? Thanks and best regards

    Hi, thanks for the video, it's interesting.
    I have a problem on my Toyota Corolla verso, 2.2 D4D 136hp....
    It runs very well, it starts well all the time, but when I'm on the road at 130 or 130 klm I feel the engines loses power for some seconds and after becomes good and after again loses power for some seconds....all this while I'm on accelerating.
    I've cleaned the EGR valve, ( it was dirty)....but after a test , it's the same problem...there's not a the engine problem light on the dashboard.
    I don't know what to do, maybe ....turbo?. I don't think....it works very well all the time, it has power .....Injector??...

      I would start by checking all the intake hoses for air leaks

      Hi, I have the same car and had the same problem as you. Have all 5 injectors tested. They will go bad and soon you will get error code P2002. Good luck!

      @@Alexxx1078 Hi! Thanks for comment, I had the solution, I changed for diesel premium and I changed the fuel filter, I have no problem by now , but thanks for your commentary, I've noted it 👍🏻

    Why did you change it

    • @glchow
      @glchow  10 месяцев назад +1

      I have a cold start issue and there is a technical bulletin from Toyota stating that high sulphur content of British fuel can damage the coating.

      @glchow I've bought a toyota avensis just over 3 weeks ago from a trader. The vegicle is currently sitting with the main toyota dealers since yesterday for a diagnostic test. Since 2 days later from the day the vegicle was bought it developed a miss fire as well as hesitation upon idle. Then it came to a point where it didn't start for an hour or two once the engine had been switched off. Its a 2 litre diesel. The main symptom is once the engine has been fully heated up it develops hesitation and misfire. I cleaned the maf myself but didn't make much of a difference. Took a local garage and I was told there is p6104 code on the computer of the car however there is no engine management light on. P1604 stands for engine start ability malfunction. This garage told me that it could be high fuel pressure pump but they were not certain and advised me to take it somewhere else for another opinion. I got in touch with the company who I bought the vegicle off and was told to take it to the main toyota dealers for a diagnostic test and it is still with them.
