Agree! I would suggest Ivo writing a autobiography of his life, but would imagine it would be a 100 count novel series lol. But I would love to read them. He really has had a fascinating life and he is still relatively young.

Please, please, please convince Ivo to write an autobiography. What an amazing life he has led that has taken him all over the world. The way he talks about his life makes me feel like he doesn't recognize how extraordinary it is. He is so gentle and funny and is a wealth of knowledge. I could listen to him and his stories for months and not get tired of it. Thank you again to Ivo and to you and Philip for taking the time to do this tour and hear just a few of his many stories.
I had the opportunity to read several of the books that Ivo Fornesa has written, I have always loved his stories and I dreamed of meeting him.
Having the opportunity to see him in these videos and listen to his stories, I understand more about his books. I recommend it.

I'm going to say it again! Such a beautiful continuation of an amazing collection! I am still hoping that the art pieces and cultural artifacts have been digitized and all of the details of the various cultural collections have been recorded for the future.
There are so many details and dates that have been lost with similar multicultural collections over the years. These pieces are so valuable to fill in any gaps in many country's past heritages. Thank you Stephanie and Ivo!!!!
Absolutely! And I hope he creates an museum with all of this so more people can see it from years to come. There is a brazilian man that died last year, he created an entire museum and it is one of the biggest collections of over 3000 pieces of weapons from all over the world (he even had 27 full medieval armors), over 20 thousand books and the biggest private collection of dutch pieces from the brazilian colonization. When he was older he sold his companies and built an entire museum to house his entire collection for the public

I see his château is now up for sale. Admittedly being responsible for this amazing building, with all of its treasures, while being there all on his own is a huge challenge. I just hope others respect his amazing collection. Fear of thieves would prevent me from filming and sharing with the world. One would expect he has a security team, aside from the dogs, to watch over the entire property to ensure nobody violates his collections.
This series was such a treat and pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing this with us. And thank you Ivo for your time and allowing Stephanie and Philip to film. I'm honored.

What I enjoy so much about Ivo is when he explains things there is no judgement. Just a matter of fact discussion. Quite refreshingly non- dualistic attitude.

I really hope all of Ivo’s collections are catalogued and his children will carry on caring for the castle and collections. He is a true Renaissance man and his knowledge is unparalleled. He lived several lives already and I hope he writes a memoir as it would be such a shame to lose any of his experiences. How wonderful and inspiring both the man, his castle and how he has decorated and restored it. He has achieved, experienced and appreciated so much of the world and its different cultures in such a short time being only 60 years old. It is a fascinating sounding life. A book if it would be wonderful to read. It should be his next book translated into many languages for us all to enjoy with photos of all you have shown here that represents it. A well done documentary would also do the trick. Many every day people's lives though normal to them are fascinating to listen to and his extraordinarily so. Nor do so many do as much and see as much in a life time as he has already. He is still going strong to achieve the restoration of his mistress with goals to achieve which is super. As a collector myself, I really appreciated his knowlledge and stories about the pieces in his collection. Collections are often like our diaries - The items not only can have their own historical significance, but they also hold memories for us of people, places and events from when we collected the item. His eye for display amazes me... Everything is not only amazing, but arranged beautifully!

Awed is an understatement! The many cultures Ivo has not only displayed but LIVED amongst.
