Vanessa, the block can be saved! you can just add a chunk of white fabric to make the block the correct size … just like you would do when making a crumb quilt:)

I actually received a phone book this year and was wondering what to do with it 😂. I always look things up on line now. Something was trying to jog my memory! And now you have. Thanks! 😊 But a question: Can you run phonebook pages through the printer? Have you tried it?
@@susanmei9980 I know phone book paper is used for strip piecing, so I thought I'd try using it for EPPP. I was very pleased with the results. The phone book paper printed beautifully with my inkjet printer. If this were a complicated template, it might be hard to read, but it was perfect for the experiment.
I love my machine that has a cutting button! Also, the start/stop button. I know most people like to use the foot pedal, but I just got used to the button.

Instead of newsprint, you can use the pages of an old phone book. Thinner than printer paper but sturdy enough. Also saves a bit of waste paper!💕
