I have the same car same set up and beats Audio and just installed my EVL loaded enclosure and rp1500 and it literally sounds like poop like a whole 200 watts unless I have bass eq on 12db and gain cranked . I just ordered a lc2i I’m hoping that will fix my issue and I just got a crappy loc. I started with 500 rms fosgate p1s and now have 4 American bass xr 12s 2 fosgate p2s Sdr loaded enclosure licker L7s and skar ddxs and now EVL within pass few months trying anything and everything too get some good output

I just got the same amp bro, on 2 Memphis mojo 8s. Are you using 6db on your amp or 12db??? I read the comments and saw your answer about your gain, lpf, and subsonic. Tuning the amp is what gets me, it bothers me if I think it doesn’t sound right, thanks bro. ✌🏻
I don't use boost at all my dude it can put extra stress on everything. If you use boost set your gain lower to accommodate the power difference. Atleast that's how I remember it. I could be wrong nowadays
With only 1 12 it won't float anything. Not enough cone surface area to move enough air for that. It does get things moving decent for sure but not enough to float.
You can't necessarily set gain same in different cars. The gain is adjusted according to how the head until sends the signal. This is why there is a gain knob. Gain doesn't mean more watts. A 500 watt amp is 500 watts regardless. The gain allows a certain amount of signal through. Too much signal causes distortion(clipping) and that is what kills a sub. A 1500 watt amp will work on a 500 watt sub as long as it doesn't clip. Amps blow due to improper load. Can't stick a 2ohm set up on an amp that doesn't spec the ability to do a 2ohm load.
Ryan Glenn man those things are dope i keep contemplating on what subs i want to get next i just had 2 kicker cvr 12s on a hifonics 2400 and i never turned that shit up passed half because it sounded so good 😂 my next system I’m gonna get a 3200 watt hifonics amp just gotta take more time to figure out what subs i want exactly i thought about the evl 15s and the 12s but i might save a evl build for when i get a truck and do 3 evl 12s
@@kkpage01100 it's always hard to pick stuff out. I was out of the game for many years and this is me dipping my toes in the water. I'm already contemplating going up to the zvx 12s on a 4500. But 3 evl would be crazy intense too.

Especially because skar amps love power. I bought a hifonics 616.4 for my doors and it brought my doors to life lol I blew my 6x9s the second day on the amp but they still sounded great
@@kkpage01100 my car came with the Beats car audio so that was 550 on the doors so they keep up really good for now. I'm already looking into another battery and alternator because doing the big 3 would be very difficult in my car since the factory battery is in the truck and they run all the wires heat shrinked to the engine 🤦🏾♂️

@@jacob.sambuca6337 the original sub that came with the enclosure blew when I was still breaking it in. I was told by skar it was my fault but they sent me a new sub anyway. I've been breaking this replacement in and I'm already having issues with this one too. Tuned with o-scope and everything. I'm gonna be switching to sundown as soon as I can. You get what you pay for for sure.
super annoyed that my new 2x10's setup isn't bumping nearly as loud as this (skar setup, ported box and 1200watts)... I'm getting decent bass, but I should be bumping harder than this with everything as loud as possible (gain up to clipping, head unit sub volume at 10. My remote knob all the way up. Something is seriously off. I used to have a 2x10 setup and remember it bumping way harder than my current setup.
Not gonna lie, with the battery in the trunk it sends all the wires that way too. I just spliced into wires I knew were speakers and it worked just fine lol. Might be a little careless but I need bass too and kinda rushed it.
Nah that 1500 puts out around 2k watts at 1ohm , and almost 3k watts on 0.5ohm . Perfect and more than enough for a single skar evl with 2500w rms . If you give it a steady 2k it’s more than likely guna blow .

set it to zero DB. If you wanna tune it right buy an oscilloscope on amazon for 49.99. There's TONS of videos on how to tune your amp properly

I just use Plasti Dip. Super easy to apply and remove if you ever wanna change colors.

Yea you can use a Lc2i or a pac lpa 2.2 any form of active line out converter will get the job done. It's worth it.
