To help move that big box man just roll it to switch your speaker and port direction, as long as you speaker wire is just long enough to do so. It beats pulling one end out and turning it. It sounds damn good man especially for bass not transfering over video.

Can't stop that sound in that car not possible it's all metal I've never heard one Not sound that way you'd have to brace every side panel and tig weld it. might not even work lol
@@chrisnelson9411 most of that rattling is coming from the quarter panels and I can guarantee with a layer or two of 80 mil sound deadener will get rid of most of that rattling
@@beardedforlife3740 have a few friends have these with 6 15s put sound deadner all through the panels it still does this deadner will definitely help but can't completely stop this thier music rips the side panels in half from flex not rattling just pure flex up against the side wall it rips it small system like this one shown yes deadner will stop it

That's something totally different than two 12s that any joe blow could own. 6 15s is clearly an spl build and there is far more that goes into it. Besides, a car like this would never have 6 15s in it anyway so the argument makes no sense
@@beardedforlife3740 how the hell are you gunna tell me a car like this never has 6 15s in them I know 12 people off hand right now that have done 6 15s in the back of these cars I had 3 Deaf bonce 4518 18s in the back of a 84 Cadillac and 2 psi platform 4 18s in the back seat of my F350 you can put subs anywhere you want cause in reality you'll never have enough airspace I never said shit about 2 12s or anything to you you commented on my comment rattling is rattling 2 12s or 18s doesn't change the material of the car im a longtime basshead cars truck's small systems to big systems I do installs and build boxes also I know what I'm talking about

Skar should use a larger Amp with the evl package. Obviously prices should accompany with it too. Or build a package and give a pack discount for buying more just like that one. Just my thoughts
Nobody has any business trying to push more than 1000 watts out of a prefab box with an amateur ass mesh screen on the port. 2000w is a lot. The box is just choking it out. Bass packages should really go over 1000w honestly because the people prone to buying bass packages will under power the amp and crank that gain knob and blow that shit up anyway.

Customs boxes built to spec are really the only way to go an is way cheaper then buying bigger amps to get the same output.

I know I'm late to seeing this video but I'm really looking at two 12" Evil subs, ive got an old Fosgate 801A competition amp but i don't think it's enough juice to push those beastly 12s. I used to compete as well out in California. I ran Kickers back in the day. Great Video

Hey man love the car. I had 97, put a Kenwood screen in it and almost cut into the ac plumbing to get it to fit. Curious if you ran into the same issue and if you had to alter anything.

What do you mean by deaden the load on the alternator by placing the 2nd battery in the trunk. I prolly need to add a 2nd battery on stock alt is why I ask. (for my Skar 3500.1 amp = 3800 RMS Watts @ 1% distortion certified w/ SMD dyno)
It holds voltage and amperage. Stores it,so the amp uses it before it strains the alternator

Why does the battery in the back still have the positive capped off ? Wouldn’t u want a power wire running from the positive of the front battery to the positive of the rear battery and a separate positive going to the amp

If you have the rp2k then no that amp is awesome. Dynos at 2700 rms I have the svr 12s with that amp and it’s crazy

I recommend second skin sound deadener and use rubber washer on the license plate will help.
Fuck overpaying for sound deadener. Get some from Amazon for way cheaper
@@beardedforlife3740 then wait 6 month for the heat to come in and they start to crinkle. Tried them. Took 6 hrs to get all the butyl off cause the matt separated. Unless you are talking kilmat 1 sheet of damplifier 40 mil did more than 4 sheets of kilmat in the same spot. You get what you pay for. id rather spend 160 then spend 300 to get enough to do the same job. Also kilmat lost 2 db sealed on dash. I mean by all means get what you like.
@@beardedforlife3740 the cheaper stuff includes the butyl in the thickness of the mat. So 40mil may only be 10-20 mil. Deaf bonce deadener is one of the few ive seen actually thicker then spec. Great stuff from what i have heard plan on using it in my tahoe.

@@beardedforlife3740 cause they get it make the review then when it goes south they never change the review. You can grab a mic buy small piece's of each and measure them. Or you can just see what the loud guys run. Exo used cheap stuff and made a whole response video later on how it started to seperate and come apart started making noise in itself. Murder mat is another great mat.

Your set sounds great. New to the game here. just recently purchased the skar Dual 12s 5,000 watt subwoofer package. With the Rp -2000.1D amp that come with it. I have 2010 Jeep Commander limited with hemi Runnin a 150 amp stock alternator. Just wanna kno what would be a good high out put alternator before I install or if I would need a extra battery for the subs alone. I don’t want any problems with draining or dimming lights etc. if anyone have any good advice greatly appreciated.
I would go ahead and get a upgraded alternator, I just bought 2 sets of the dual 12s 500 watts, it will go in my 03 silverado I have a mechman 370 amp alt and I'll be buying 2 agm batteries for it too

That amp does true rms!!!!!! Working on a 72 monte carlo with two 12 EVLS in a custom sealed box, ohio generator 320 amp alternator, 4 runs of 0 gauge, 2 batteries in the trunk and the shit slams!!!!!!!
