This is the Italian school of singing at its finest. The technical rendition was perfect in every way. True “ aperto ma copetón” ( superb covering of the vowels and the sound). A perfect “ línea scholastics” with thrilling portamento and locating the next higher note in the same place as the previous note. Superb breath control. Impeccable appogio through the entire register. Truly the last of the bel canto Mohicans.
I love this voice so much, his effortless fluently and very beautiful voice. Pavarotti is my first choice for many opera portraits: Rodolfo, Calaf, Canio, Radames, Pinkerton and maybe surprising: Otello. I really prefer Pavarotti´s youthful heroic recording under Solti by far instead of all the dark sounding, painfully tortured tenors with red heads, fighting with this wonderful role. Pavarotti was a century tenor, no less.
Aloha Luciano Pavarotti and OperaMyWorld !!!!! I love his songs which are so iconic, boisterous, mellow, etc. He sings in such a unique manner that touches everyone's heart and soul !!!!! Am 79 years old and have learned a lot about classical music and all kinds international music genres . Pavarotti is my favorite !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gratefully, Robert S.J. Many times I have experienced a greater pleasure when listening to rehearsals. The reason for this, I think, is that the prestige is not so great, and with that the singers are more relaxed.
Rhadames is a spinto role, which Pavarotti was by this stage. It's nowday given to heavy tenors, but it was a role sung by Bjoerling amd Gigli so Pavarotti's voice is just fine at this stage of hos career.

Well it all depends. This is but one aria. For a full performance not all that much. He needed to pace himself along with lights, movement, makeup etc. And on record I'm sure he could very well "sing" the heavier roles. On stage? Not so much
@@henrigaziel2002 in the 60's-now "great acclaim" doesn't hold the same weight as much so I'm sure people thought it was great. I'm talking about the role itself
I don’t know what you’re talking about. It was in the 80s he sang Radames and he continued with ‘heavier’ roles into the 90s. His ‘Otello’ in ‘91 was one of his greatest achievements. Presumably you prefer yours barked? Greatly acclaimed by critics who knew what they were talking about. Unlike those that don’t even know the timeline.
@@henrigaziel2002 oh no honey. His Radames is one thing but hit Otello not so much. Personally I think his Radames was a better achievement than Otello

Che onore e piacere hanno avuto questi musicisti di accompagnare il Maestro!
He is so relaxed and the voice just pours out with no effort.
He sings it like eating a piece of cake. So effortless and so easy. Pavarotti is the greatest ever.
La voce più bella del mondo.
He is beloved by the world. ♥️

la sua voce sovrasta l orchestra...forse c è un microfono di troppo...comunque è un grandissimo della lirica
And they said he couldn’t sing this ‘heavier’ role??!! Open your ears.

Well he sang the full opera all over the world, La Scala, San Francisco, Covent Garden, The Met, to great acclaim. Didn’t you know? Not so much.

Del mio pensiero tu sei regina,
Tu di mia vita sei lo splendor.
Il tuo bel cielo vorrei redarti,
Le dolci brezze del patrio suol;
Un regal serta sul crin posarti,
Ergerti un trono vicino al sol.
Tu alma se junto a la mia y perdi mi identidad ya no era yo para ser tu
