The problem with John Deere is that you can’t get away from them without suffering and people don’t like to suffer so I doubt if most people will move away from them. However if the price goes up much more then people will move because they will not hesitate to take the pain and suffering and save their pocket from further pilfering. Personally I have moved away from them years ago ( I have some Deere gear but they are not the main machines in the line). My father was a die hard Deere man and nearly had a heart attack when I moved away from them but the reality is that it made financial sense. I think you guys are right about the fact that you would be better off if neither of your old geriatric candidates run but as I am not American, I really don’t care.

I will speak to the dog situation, about this time last year a young lady was mauled to death delivering packages here in KC. She was delivering around sundown and someone had their pit out in the front yard and it ripped her to pieces. So my guess is they might of bumped up their policy on keeping those dogs at a distance?

I've gotten to the point where I can't spend time worrying about politics anymore...too much wasted energy. I've got a farm to run, equipment to operate and maintain (we run Deere stuff) crops to deliver.
I had a commercial wheat variety that was grown organically for a giga processor, it did 203 bushels. Good ground, 10% soil organic matter, well drained, and I spoon fed organically approved nitrogen through subsurface irrigation. Bottom line on JD, they already have me. I can’t replace the parts and service. There is no reason to pander to me, I’m not going anywhere. But there is fierce competition on the small stuff. Lawn mowers, utility tractors. The countryside is dotted with all kinds of people who aren’t farming, but they have a little spread going. They need equipment too. They are different people than us, many are lefties. It’s a totally different market, different marketing.
You gotta give the amazon guys a break when dealing with dogs. The ups guy it's the same guy running thr same route every day. They know all the people and all the dogs. Amazon guys it could be a totally different guy everytime they don't know all the people and the dogs. Also especially in rural areas there is an individual bidding process by drivers for each individual order. So that could be the only time that driver even comes into your county. I know you guys are responsible pet owners but there are a lot of people that are not. Give the Amazon guys a break

Those are the same weekly reports who do know what they are reporting on. It’s normally FSA workers, Farm Credit, etc. People who are in the area and come into contact with farmers and farm fields daily. Farmers are the least objective when it comes to crop reporting . Haven’t seen one yet that doesn’t whine and complain about their crop the whole time. The after harvest they think they are the only one who had better yields than expected.

Fed ex for sure and I am pretty sure Amazon are employees of independent contractors. Ups drivers are union employees. Hence the difference in quality
