I helped my 80 year old neighbor move his moms International Harvester refrigerator that his parents bought used when they got electricity in the 1940s. That was the only fridge that his parents ever owned and it cools better than our new one.

It's amazing. I've got 1960's Kelvinator refrigerator in my garage that runs like a top, and survived my last 3 refrigerators. Plus the new appliances seem to require Wifi to operate and control.

You need to do more of these! This is just like me listening to my dad and his friends talk through the truck window or at the little store we had in our little unincorporated town. On that truck transmission, I saw that video. That guy is a real good transmission mechanic, and he will machine something to work. Those kind of guys don't say "we can't", they say "we will figure it out". That's the spirit that made this country!

The biggest opportunity I see for younger people is busting an existing profitable small buisness ideally one where the owner is retiring. The majority of small buisness owners don’t have an exit strategy so you can buy them for 1-3x revenue, put modern tech into it and grow it steadily and you can create huge equity

Covered it in the winter air hose it out everything is junk... My grandma has a refrigerator from 1958 sitting in her garage running like the day she got it Said they've literally never done one thing to it

A dozen yrs ago I bought a new refrigerator. Type with drawer/freezer at bottom. For the longest time the ice made had a color and odor
It wasn't my water supply. Eventually I made good usable ice. Lately on occasion the bottom fills with ice. Something is leaking within the ice makee.

Its planned obsolescence, they want you to have to replace appliances. Case in point we still have a fridge from the 70s that will freeze beer. It sits outside in a open air shop in South Texas in the sun.

Yes, there is 6 trillion in money market funds due to 5% interest rates on those accounts. When fed lowers rates, which they will as Canada and Europe already has, it'll force those account owners looking for higher returns via stocks. More than likely, they'll look at small caps and other areas of the market that are currently cheap.

I saw the video for the refrigerator that you’re talking about with all of the cool features. What people don’t consider is that was probably the equivalent of $5000 in today’s money to purchase back then. Products have gone to shit but the costs have come down substantially. it would be nice if there were options today to buy those higher cost higher quality products because I can tell you from experience even the highest and modern appliances give you about the same success rate as the cheap ones, if not worse because of all the technology they packed into them.

If Israel had a second ammendment or the right for their citizens to bear arms, this would have never gone as far as it has.

They did have the right to bear arms for the majority of their existence but recently they started leading left and decided to remove guns. Some would point out that the timing of the attack and the removal of the weapons are pretty coincidental.
