I think within the next 2 years john deere will put a fully electronic transmission with command arm. With the price they almost have to. So till then I'll wait. It's just to much money for not having it.
They need to make the 5 series more like the 6 series. Bring back the pillar, set all the button controls on the right hand side, single pan front glass, move the ac underneath the cab, etc. shouldn’t even get the option for the power reverse. Power quad at minimum.
@@rileycoble5842 5 series is the access model so it should have less things for people who doesn´t need a 6 series or look for something basic and easy to drive for basic works in farmers or small areas
@@ruizmanuel74I recon there are plenty of farms that don’t need a big tractor but do work it all day. If so an automatic transmission and the more premium features of the 5R are VERY well appreciated!
I have wondered for a long time why John Deere removed the 5R very nice tractor. why not put in a cvt gearbox in the 5R? are there other brands that offer such a cvt for that size of tractor
I think John Deere should have a CVT for the 5 series tractor. Fendt has it and New Holland and Case and Deutz. Who can sit and shift gears with a manual transmission these days? I think John Deere should make one. Make a comeback on the 5R for those who want a little more luxurious machine. Like the 6R 7R 8R 9R where they are far ahead in development@@lol-vz8kd
Actually in India now. The previous generation M’s such as the 5100M and 5115M were built at the Augusta Georgia plant . But sadly now these are assembled in India which kind of scares me. I noticed this when I saw some of the vin plates being displayed on some of the sale sites such as tractor house. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Maybe 5120M production is going to start in Augusta?
@@thomasmccrea8149hello sid from India this side recently I visited an agro show in India 5120M was displayed there the new 5120M is also now assembled in India now, I think John Deere is planning to have that bigger plant to get mor out of it. And one thing more a new plant is also running in dewas Madhya Pradesh which is manufacturing tractors for India and in Pune plant tractors are made and sent in foreign countries. That's great that even John Deere is having a plant in Georgia

They figure that you should just buy a 6M
New Holland, Fendt and Deutz have 120 hp tractors with CVT.
@@rileycoble5842too big, I have both tractors 5r and 6m with IVT, my God the 5r had a really jerky gearbox!
