I recently started playing warframe. about 2 weeks ago. and I absolutely love it. its not the hardest game in the world but its satisfying as hell to jump around like a moron killing NPS like there is no tomorrow!

Warframe is something a person can return to be it originally having been due to something like burnout, boredom, so on and so forth. There is absolutely a grind but to anyone in the typical mmo grind crowd, this game is rewarding. For those who havent experienced the Zariman, I recommend it.
The mobility is reward of itself. Grinding having fun simply moving around.
People also need to keep in mind that the games focus is on power fantasy, hence why early - mid game is peak warframe. That feeling of getting so much stronger while discovering all these new systems is what's so satisfying about the game. Since warframes are so powerful, there isn't really an end game in terms of raids, aside from maybe eidolons/profit taker and with duviri, the orowyrm. End game is mostly about collecting, fashion, and using the complex modding system to create a crazy build for your frames/weapons. If you want end game with great instanced content like raids and dungeons, that is what destiny 2 is for. Both games while completely different, are the best in the market at what they try to do
@@jgsource552 That's why imo Warframe NG+ is actually underrated. The early-mid game of Warframe has always been the peak of the game, so I often make new accounts to re-experience that occasionally when DE releases enough big updates to re-experience it fresh
@@jgsource552 if warframe added a single raid/dungeon crawler area In the game. Warframe would be the top MMO in the whole genre. Imagine if they combined all the elements of warframe and made it a raid😱 “hard” content is literally just bullet sponge enemies and cool rewards or unique gear. If warframe pulled that off there’d be no doubt a landslide for any MMO that tried to compete. Warframe could be so many things it’s crazy. Best MMO I’ve ever played anyway. Been having a hard time see any other team keep my interest like warframe does.

I love how you can take a break and come back and theres no reason to rush like dailies and fear of getting left behind etc. Its such a good casual game but also grindy and has fashion.. theres something for everyone!

True. After reaching certain point in the game (maybe Mastery Rank 20?), it's safe if you take a break like a year. Then when you come back you can play the latest contents.
Well, it has dailies and a battlepass... But it's all free and the rewards are often returned, so it's more of an actual treat for regular players rather than a necessity. Ya know, like these things should be...

I actively played like 6 years ago and now I came back. First I was overwhelmed by the new content but now I'm seriously grinding everything and it never gets boring (for now). Especially all different Open World Maps with each faction you can level, new ways to upgrade etc. And all that solo/with randoms!

I’m glad to hear the intro quests and the unlocking of your basic tools in the orbiter is seamless and not overwhelming. As someone who joined before there was a cursor on console I’m happy to hear the new player experience is much improved!

the one thing that bothers me a little is that the duviri experience as a starting point is a big spoyler for the second dream, that used to be a huge twist reveal for any player, something that blows your mind. It was such a big deal there was the rule of never spoyling it for anyone, and the comunity was united through that rule.
I just jumped back in after a few years. Do you recommend I just play through to the second dream instead of going through The Duviri Paradox?

I remember everyone hyping up The Second Dream when it dropped but I had fallen off playing Warframe at that point, I just jumped back in and went straight for it. Totally worth the hype, it was awesome.
The cool thing about this free game is this:
I was bored at 3am and just looked at trade chat with my inventory open, saw some people wanted to buy some prime parts and blueprints i happened to have. 30 minutes later i sold like 4 parts and made 100 platinum.. you dont need to spend money at all if you just look around. I got a free Prime Warframe just from looking at chat for a lil bit.

it's a cool feeling to watch this guy's videos learning about ESO and then see him play a game I know by heart.
"I'm the kind of enemy you hear coming in few miles away" Is now my new favorite way of describing my play style.
For the open worlds except Duviri, the archwing launcher or Titania's 4 is the way to travel in those. If you like running, Gauss or max strength Volt will zoom you across the map lol

@@ChickenJoe-tq6xd fr tho, i wanted to play destiny 2 HARD, and then i just couldn't do the story and i was just stuck, pretty much all the storylines have a fucking paywall behind it which really lure me out of it, and then whenever you come back they come with an epic ass cutscene that i don't understand since i'm literally UNABLE to do the story because they're behind paywalls, and expect you to get hyped or something

I feel like the duviri paradox itself is really cool by allowing people to quickly get warframes from circuit and other stuff, but the story isn't really centered towards new players. It spoils a very cool story quest later down the line and it also spoils another... "faction" is what I am going to say to not spoil you.
Yeah, certain quest was basically the highlight of the story, and it was a taboo to even talk about it. And now it's just out there. Kinda bummed that it diminishes the impact the reveal had, but hey, Duviri kinda solved the problem Warframe always had - the steep learning curve with no in-game resource to guide new players to.

Eh, kind of, but also not really. New players just don't have the context to really understand what's going on in the Duviri quest. When I was new, I'd seen people using transference dozens of times by the time I got to The Second Dream, but the reveal still hit because, besides the scene being emotional by itself, it just isn't clear without a dedicated explanation.
You make a really good point but I’ll give my perspective as a new player who started with duviri. Seeing transference early on made me super interested in it and eager to learn it’s origin. So it was really cool to learn the original of transference when playing thru the second dream.

I used to play this like 5 years ago. I loved the grinding and selling on the market, bonding with the community is the best part of the game
I waited so long to try this, & every time it felt a bit overwhelming. Recently downloaded it back, 130 hours in now as we speak so. The game felt more natural as i progressed through. The absolute BIGGEST thing i have to commend is the absolutely phenomenal community that WarFrame is.
After my massive disappointment in Destiny 2 as a new player with the MASSIVE cost involved to unlock all the content, I really wanted to try something with a similar sci-fi story and style. I was concerned to try Warframe, but after seeing this video, I'm actually overly excited for the installation to complete. Thank you for showing all the aspects of what I can expect from this game.

This game literally has a character for everyone. I played this game then got off for like a year or 2. Then they released my now favorite character of all time Stynax. My guy is a literal space spartan that is super aggressive and fun to play. You can literally do anything in this game which is why it's one of my favorites.

I keep seeing these warframe videos and it's always exactly how I expected it to be! Quit playing 2 years ago and it looks exactly the same but a few extras!
Baruuk is a really fun Warframe! It excels in the really hard missions. You erode your restraint with your 3 that makes enemies sleep then press Serene Storm and your melee attacks become ranged and they go through walls and objects!
i love my baruuk, i threw in around 12 or 14 formas on him and his exalted weapon and even one umbra forma. until level 200 enemies i just melt everything before even starting a combo. and then... this morning i got my subsumed valkyrs warcry and oh boy... feels like i just went super saying while chugging a handful of zensu beans and drinking them down with a zensu bean smoothie.
@@o7....o1 Yeah I got Melee Guidance aura mod and build a bunch of combo duration, etc in my Venka Prime. Helps bypass the combo bug in Baruuk. I just get 13x combo multiplier then jump into my Serene Storm. Don’t have to worry about losing my stacks. Red Crit city!

Which ability did you swap out for warcry? I've not tried any helminths for him because he synergizes so well. I've heard a grouping ability over his one helps you charge his restraint quickly with lull. Cheers!

the sense of accomplishment is pretty great too. Finished The New War on my 2nd account I started around Christmas, Finished Earth Steel Path missions & MR18 in the bag. Feels good.

This is such a great game... started back in 2013 but jumped into destiny around the same time, and then returned back to warframe full force in 2017 and been on and off from 2022.
Returning to WF while i afk runescape and found your content, Subbed.
Warframe is one of the only live service games that 100% feels like it respects my time. There is zero fomo, & zero items (that I want) that I can't grind for when I want to. I can take breaks, jump in & out with friends at any time & never feel like I missed anything. The game has gone thru so many changes over the years. Most have been for the better. It's 1 of the few games that for me, the grind doesn't ever feel boring or a waste of my time.

I have to completely disagree with this. Warframe has some of the worst drop rates I have ever seen, and so much content that you do just to grind something. Not because it is enjoyable at all, it's terrible content, but you have to do it to grind one item for 20 hours and then never play it ever again once you got it cause you have ptsd.

When talking about Warframe it is criminal to not talk about the community and the Warframe marketplace community, everyone is so easy to work with and willing to help
My experience with the community was honestly pretty shit when i first started playing. I played the game for about a year in 2017 from and then on and off till about 2019. Everytime I'd try and get help or needed information on something because i was completely ignorant to how anything worked. I would get little to no help from any experienced players.
I have not played for months but your video (awesome by the way) has me convinced to try it again. Donwloading it as I was watching. I remember I last stopped playing because of the lasck of direction and to me the ship I extremely difficult to understand.
to be clear, to progress properly, you must max out all the gear you can, this increases your mastery level. this in turn increases your over all power. you also have to at least unlock all the junctions on the solar system map in order to access most of the quests, unlock new abilities and features, etc.
I definitely love warframe, I made an account years back as a little dude and immediately got confused and stopped playing, about a year ago I broke my leg and was stuck with not a lot to do and my friends got me to try warframe. Gotta say it’s been one of the funnest rpgs I’ve played to date. Best of all you don’t have to spend money at all to get the coolest things, as I was playing I learned people will literally pay me in game currency for parts I scrounge up opening relics. So now I can be a millionaire without spending anything at all and be able to afford things like fashion and prime warframes without grinding for them. The start is slow and grindy but once you find your footing the game is like no other and you’ll have everything you want and more
Now this is how you put together a "should you play review" - deftly sprinkling humour in just the right places to create a perfectly paced flow of information that delivers on what you came here for - some help with deciding on where to spend your Game time.
Its a such a laugh as well, which is always my favourite way consume content. The update is downloading, and I am chomping at the bit.

Don't. This review was biased as hell. As a vet with thousands of hours, the game has gone down hill drastically. The new expansion is bad in terms of story, gameplay, and optimization.
I used to have an xbox back in 2016 and Warframe was one of the first games that hooked me and I could play for hours. Recently been looking for something more casual on my steamdeck and noticed Warframe which I haven't touched since 2016 just from being a student at the time and working, just became busy. Picking it up again last night I forgot how much there is to do and can't believe it's free on Steam, wishing I had picked this back up earlier. It's a great casual game where you can jump into some missions, grind some gear and hop off or just spend all weekend decking out your tenno. Definitely worth checking out for its price tag of free but don't feel guilty if you drop a few bucks on the ingame store.

The cycle goes: start playing again > finish new campaign > grind my ass off for current meta > me METAH now and get bored > this game is wasting my time it isn’t rewarding and lack new content > touch grass > hmmm I kinda miss it I wonder if there’s any update > oh woooow this look promising > start playing again

I played Warframe years ago, back when the tutorial was drop into a danger zone and good luck. This is something else entirely! I am 100% installing and starting again, it looks outstanding!!!
warframe is the game that you stop play but always come back. the devs are doing a great job at keeping the game fresh (and more complicated xD) I will be back for the duviri paradox for sure

I've been playing Warframe since late 2018, making this year 5 years! I love Digital Extremes, and I love what they do. I'm a Warframe fan for life. I've thrown a handful of money at it because I felt compelled to support the game. I have nearly 2,000 hours and am Mastery Rank 27 (almost 28). My main is Hildryn Prime. Love love this game.
Im a veteran, in preparation of cross save, i installed it on my new gaming PC...the new player experience is waaaaay better than I remember.(i started playing when Plains was brand new).its still a gane where a wiki is needed...but not as soon as you start walking around the Orbiter.

And then you realise that this tenno is bad vs mediocre...and all that spended time just to grind parts and craft- well, i know what i am talking about...cause been a lot to this game before....yes, there are good tennos, but only some...and it changes due to nerfing- some bad tennos may do now better than before, and some good tennos are actually a trash now. It is not stabile cause your favored tenno may go boom some day! Anyway, good luck!
Then you go to hydron, and sit there for 20 waves to max it out (with a booster) to decide if you will potato and forma it.
I thought about going back to it a lot, but every time I realized I need to level up multiple things I get bored to tears.

I want to come back so BAD but my account is on xbox and ive moved to pc. The amount of hours and enjoyment ive had on this game has never came close to any other. Ive seen the tons of content dropped and im excited to return whenever crosssave is in the game

Most important thing is to just start. Everyone wants to be a youtuber, but almost no one grows the courage to try. Its quite easy if you look for the commonality between what the viewer wants AND what you want to make content about. If you have one without the other you will struggle. Good luck!

As a Limbo main I find your video a great means of explaining the game. However do fear the grind…
