For people worried about the premium currency shop: 1. It is 100% optional. Nothing you can buy in the shop is better or worse, it’s either cosmetic or skips the grind to attain it in game. 2. You can trade premium currency between players for earned items, meaning even if you want cosmetic items or grind skip, you still don’t have to buy it. 3. Aside from cosmetic items, it’s usually the case that anything you see for sale will have a blueprint version also available that puts it into your crafting list for in-game drops like credits and resources. The rest of the time that blueprint is in the rest of the game somewhere, like the Dojo (clan system) or earned from loot drops. Warframe’s monetisation is one of the most fair-to-player systems in the world. Aside from those games that are up-front purchase for everything in the game, no in-game shop, no special edition and no paid battle pass.
@@Vizzientand another thing the other person didn't mention the mods you get from buying platinum are pretty easy to get and they aren't the best mods out there lol like when there's a mod called galvanized chamber that increases your multishot for your gun and at the same time your multishot gets even further increased as you kill up to a cap those mods aren't that good 😂 oh and one last thing you didn't say anything about in the video. you can customize ANYTHING you want in this game, even the lotus can be customized at some point
The thing about Warframe is that you can pace yourself anytime. You only burnout because you decided to push yourself too far. You can just take it casually and come back anytime so no rush.
Inkust did, im actyally jelous of new players, they have so much contenr, 4 open world maps, the about 5 story quests which getting all fo them sum.up aboit 20 hrs of gameplay (unlocking them and playing them together)
The other side of this is that its very hard to waste your time doing a mission. You can do practically any mission and it will go to some amount of earning you something worthwhile at some point.
As for the lack of a clear aim in the early game, the Whispers in the Walls update that's coming in a couple days will make some changes to how the story quests are available to new players; They'll no longer have mastery rank requirements, and they'll be better organised to be more clear about what's a side quest and what's part of the main storyline. That should make it easier to new players who are interested in the "campaign" to experience it more cohesively.
@@Vizzient Dont worry, we've been asking for this for a half decade. Its been a long time coming. We want new players to have a better experience with a game we came to realize was amazing despite its steep initial climb.
Yeah this update did not help. There isn't any indication of what is a priority story quest and they should have kept the mastery rank requirements, but given new players more weapon and frame slots so that they can actually progress their MR faster and experiment with gear without having to do sidetrack to boring plat grinds.
I’ve spent a LOT of money on this game. Some from being lazy, a lot from cosmetics to support the game/support the community (yes, a percentage of tennogen goes to the creator that made it), and I wouldn’t go back and take any money I’ve spent on it back. The game is so meaningful to me, I did take a long break, but I came back to it a few weeks ago and I put 200+ hours in it again catching up on everything. This game is so great and the devs are great and put a lot of heart into it, so I will probably be spending so much more in the future with some warframe tattoos and what not. I already have a lot of destiny tattoos, and that game is very near and dear to me, so warframe tats will be right at home.
yea, platinum doesn't really do anything aside from general basic expansion, cosmetics, and grind skip. Even then, its stupid easy to farm as in everyone wants to buy something. It merely works like a pay to have more rather than a pay to be better thing. The mods that come with the plat are easy to obtain as well, and don't really boost you character, rather, its the farmable stuff that takes it to the moon. Its at least better than destiny which requires you to buy everything including access to exclusive equipment and battlepasses with the added price of your soul. Warframe goes with the model of you dont have to pay, but you will eventually.
In my experience everything in this game is accessible for free (in theory). Drop tables and riven rolling makes me question reality sometimes, but in general if there’s an item you can see in the shop you can get it, you just might not have unlocked the area in which you get it (like the zariman or khal’s garrison) and there are dojo specific weapons, free roam specific weapons and more, all of which do look like they’re paid at the beginning but I can reassure you they’re not.
takes time but still accessible for free a guy made a video making millions of kuva to roll rivens for free honestly paying just makes things faster nothing else and if you really know what your doing it’s not even worth it besides weapon and frame slots and that can be grinded for free too.
ok where to start, this game is phenomenal. everyone that starts this game starts at the same place which is being overwhelmed by the aspects of the game (i like that part since it doesnt make it well known like most games). i myself am not a full on pro player, currently at mastery rank 20, max is 30 (the max level for pretty much everything is 30, there are exceptions) as for your mastery rank, if you go into the menu and profile you will see the xp bar, there it shows the things you have done to gain the xp for the mastery rank up. long story short pretty much anything you do gets you xp as for your cons, those can be dwindled down to it only being overwhelming at the start (even up to mastery rank 0 i still had no clue what i was doing half the time). this game IS NOT P2W, let me clarify, yes there is the premium currency called platinum (which you start out with 50) and it can be used for all sorts of things like adding more weapon, and warframe slots to getting many and i mean many cosmetics, yes as you have seen in the currency shop you can get rewards for buying the higher tier platinum those rewards being mods, you can get everything in the game without using platinum (cosmetics aside). but one of the things that makes this game amazing and better than most is that PLATINUM IS EASY TO GET, EVEN AS A FREE TO PLAY PLAYER. thats because platinum, the premium currency in warframe can be traded, you can trade almost anything. and the best way to get customers for the items you sell, or if you want an item you want to buy with platinum (note that you cannot trade the 50 platinum you start with, those are best used to get a weapon/warframe slots) is to use a site called warframe market, this website is easy to use, it isnt associated with the game so its fan made, all it is, is a marketplace for people that advertise wanting to buy or sell items. making alot of platinum is very easy if you use warframe market, you can also trade at the bazaar but using the market is better. as for your other con of "what to do" well you can do whatever you want, but what you mainly want to do on a regular basis is to unlock all the planets i recommend getting to uranus, the story gets amazing at that point. on a side note you can do so much in the game, from getting your favorite warframes, to getting pets, to unlocking new weapons and so much more. yes the game is overwhelming at first but i assure you if you keep playing then you will understand everything in time. there are even very helpful beginner videos on yt to get you going. just know that the game may be easy now but that will change the further you get. the game itself is spectacular but what i most love about it is the community, everyone ig or out are always willing to help. hell they even give you free stuff, but if you ever have a question you can ask in game, on reddit or ask me and ill answer if i can. its been a couple months since i last played warframe since i gave myself a break after playing it nonstop. but ill definitely be getting back into it because of the new update released on tennocon. Good luck on your journey Tenno
Appreciate the insight friend!! Glad to hear about the game not being p2w and platinum being readily accessible. I really didn't assume it was just that shop style is so mobile game like that I had to be a little worried. Crazy how positive the community seems in this game there's so much support from the player base. Honestly many of the "cons" were things I could imagine many others struggling with even if I myself might not. I do like the open-endedness of the game because linear play can be super dull. Thanks again 😎
Actually there have been 'legendary' mastery ranks beyond 30 for a few months now - though I think there's only 2 or 3. Going legendary means you even get to give perks to folk hanging out in relays once a day!
By the way, utilizing the in game trading system, you can get anything within the game (barring certain cosmetics which are purchased directly from the steam market) including the premium currency! It just takes time if you wanna get more platinum. Buying platinum isn't pay to win, just pay to get what you want faster
@@Bleurghusghashten nah all good my dude! Hearing it more times reassures the point honestly which is good. Perhaps once I figure out what I'm doing a bit more 😂
As someone with a few hours (1800) I love seeing new players taking a look at this game. And all of you concerns I heard are completely valid. The game can be extremely overwhelming and that is something they need to fix. But I especially love your reaction to the premium currency and I feel ya. But please do keep in mind. Everything you can buy (excluding alot of the cosmetics) you can get normaly by just playing the game. And if its something you really want but need platinum for it you can just trade for the platinum which I feel sets warframe far above most live service free to play games. I hope you keep playing this game because something I tell all my friends is the more time you put into this game is the more fun it gets. Goodluck
As a player I can assure you,you can farm EVERY weapon and Warframe,I know that at first it docent look like it,but I can assure you can, also you can trade in game for platinum so if you want to buy something with that you can (odo it will most likely by weapon/warframe slots for a LONG will)
Honestly I think if they just revamped the store UI it would do them a service to help lessen worries towards new players. Good to know pretty much everyone agrees it's not actually harmful gameplay wise though 😄
I just started Warframe myself. As a "Baby Tenno," I've struggled with the feature creep as well, getting very overwhelmed with how much there is in the game. Luckily, I've had a co-worker, that has played it since it came out, showing me the ropes. Which has really helped a lot. There are also a lot of really good guide videos and playlists that help walk you through everything you need to know. I am currently MR 6 as of this comment. As I've started to transition out of the early game (almost finished the star chart), I'd say some of the best advice I can give completely new players is to take it slow, use the wiki, and watch beginner guide videos. Warframe has been out for a long time. The con of that for new players is information and feature overload in-game. The pro, however, is that there is soo much information collected on the ins and outs of the game. You can get quick and easy superficial information if you're a more casual player, but there is also very precise information that has been collected and compiled if you're into the more stat crunching side of Looter Shooters.
For the weapons most of the time even if it says plat you can click on it and it will give the option to buy now with plat or buy a blueprint for normal currency to craft in the foundry, this isn't all weapons as some need a dojo or certain missions to get blueprints
It’s always interesting for some reason to hear about the experiences of new players when you have played so long that you have almost forgotten what that was like. The thing that many, many people bring up in their first tens of hours playing is being overwhelmed. It’s does get easier, and by that I mean you learn HOW to figure out stuff that you just don’t understand. As with a lot of games, or at least any one of sufficient complexity, there is a visual and conceptual language, a way of doing things, that until you start to crack it, seems like nothing makes sense. For example, one of the particular examples you gave of a symbol on the star chart was a special type of mission on that node in parallel to the normal mission. Some of these types last only for a particular amount of time, and move around at random on the star chart. If you had simply clicked on it you would have found out that instead of starting a mission you would be given a choice whether to start the regular mission or the special one, and if you simply select the latter you would learn a lot about the new mission and systems associated with it by just jumping in. It would also put names to things allowing you to ask more questions. If warframe has a problem in this area it is that it errs always on the side of introducing things organically rather than through heavy handed tutorials. I look at this as a feature rather than a bug - the early part figuring things out, and especially figuring out HOW to figure mysteries like that out in this particular game - is for me part of the fun. But everyone has a different tolerance for that kind of thing. I know I’m definitely the kind of person, my whole life, that thinks getting dropped in a foreign country with a language I don’t know yet, with different customs, food, etc etc is about the most amazing thing ever! Many of my friends and relatives over the years find the same thing scary to the point of panic and want to make for the nearest international holiday inn. 😂
Nice vid ^-^ Just wanna say that in Warframe, anything and everything can be farmed for free, nothing's really locked behind the Platinum and shop other than skins and cosmetics. The Mods you see can be farmed in missions and the Platinum itself can be traded with other people, you can feasibly earn a thousand in a week just by trading items ^-^
@@Vizzient If you want a buddy to farm with or to help guide you on getting which frames, I'd love to help ^-^ Finished my own starchart so I can bring you anywhere you need
Warframe is fun when u started but it gets boring when you got everything like (you can run steel path with ease, you have the best gears and basically no need to farm other gears unless you got nothing to do, you just farm platinum/items that can be sold in platinum everyday) it gets repetitive also lost the thrill because you just destroy everything at that point and there is no competition
I appreciate your view as a new player. As some people have stated about the Platinum and relation to weapons and warframes, DE has made great lengths to make sure this game isn't pay to win. Any and every warframe, weapon, and mods can be grinded for in some form or fashion. Some are easier than others I will say. This game doesn't really like to hold your hand in terms of story progression and mechanics but I can't think of a good way to implement a system that could help without feeling like you're permanently on rails or making you as the player feel like the system is stating you aren't smart enough to figure out and explore. There is a semi lore reason to it as well but that comes with its own issues that makes this a tricky fix.
All the weapons in the market that have a premium currency next to them, have ways to acquire them still without the premium cost. Most of the blueprints for the weapons can be brought with basic credits and crafted using the materials you earn in the missions, and the rest are through clans, mission rewards and open world vendors
the most impressive part of Warframe is how you can run it on literally anything. my friend played this game on integrated graphics for years before you finally got a new computer
I've heard that DE has a super old shitty computer that they always test to make sure new content can run on it. They only recently dropped 32 bit support too which is wild.
@@Vizzientthe only reason i had to stop playing the game is because at some point theres a Boss fight that its not only really hard to do solo, but you kinda need a squad to make it faster to Farm It a Lot. The problem wasnt that my computer wasnt able to handle fight, It was. The problem was that It took 5 minutes loading the Open world so i would always slow down people. So yeah, this shit is INSANELLY well optimized.
Warframe is absolutely a looter, its just that the loot isnt earned in quite the same way as something like Destiny. Instead of getting random wepaon drops from enemies, you choose what you want to build by getting the blueprint for it, and then using resources earned from missions to craft those blueprints. Any item that has any impact on gameplay can be earned for free. The UI certainty needs an update to make it more obvious though. If you click on any of those weapons in the aresenal with the platinum cost, it will give you two options. Use plat to buy it outright, or get the blueprint for credits and build it. Everything like that in the shop has a free path to earn it. And the premium currency can even be earned for free by trading with other players. Being overwhelmed at the start is something we all went though. And it can be frustrating. But as someone with over 2,000 hours in the game, every warfame, almost every weapon, after experincing dozens of hours of excellent AAA quality story content, unique and exciting gameplay unlike any game on the market, and doing all of that for $0, I can definately say it is worth it to stick with it! You should stream the game. That way, the community can help with the overwhelming/confusion part. The Warframe community is known as being one of the most friendly in all of gaming after all
The overwhelming and confusing is fair and understandable. I honestly agree. It did not age well. Although, I don't remember how but I didn't have a hard time starting personally. And I mostly figured out things myself. The paying thing can be cleared up though. It's mostly pay for convenience. I think the UI is a little bit misleading putting the plats on the front page of the weapons and frames. But 99% of people actually just buy the blueprints without spending real money and just craft it themselves. Because yes, you can get all these weapons by crafting them. Crafting weapons and frames is the main loop. The platinum option is for those who are willing to spend to skip a grind. And honestly, I highly discourage new players to buy weapons or frames with plat. Just don't. It's counter-intuitive in a way. If you play the game like as it is, you can get XP, resources, and mods you'd otherwise miss if you just used platinum to skip it. And as you might or might not know, mods become the backbone of the gameplay as you progress. It's how you unlock the real strength of a frame or weapon. And also, some of the strongest weapons in the game are ones you can't buy with money (you can only get them by playing, fighting your personalized nemesis, and stealing their weapon). The fact that these strong but unbuyable weapons exist I think is decent proof to me that the developers' aim isn't to extort money. They still have to earn money of course, but it generally feels fair to me. And IMO a huge plus about the platinum (premium currency) in Warframe is that it's tradeable amongst players. There's a significant chunk of players who grind for rare items and trade those with other players. It's basically an incentive to stay strictly F2P because you can technically get platinum that other players paid for with real money. So in the player-base, there's a balance of people who are willing to *spend* money to skip a grind, and people who are willing to *play* more and grind to get that money (in the form of platinum). Yep. Warframe's in-game player economy is a thing.
i always find it interesting as a long time player what struggles a newer player might face that to me seem innate. i had a friend start warframe this year and i had to hold their hand for pretty much their first 50 or so hours, it really goes to show how underdeveloped warframes early game can be. not everyone can have an experienced friend to lead them through the early game
Warframe is really so extensive that I've been playing for about a year and a half (started July 2022) and I'm MR27 and i still feel like a noob, it doesn't help that for the longest time i had to play completely solo bc i was on switch and everyone i knew was on PC and i was scared to join a clan and have to deal with toxic people (Turns out the warframe community is very lovely though and my clanmates turned out to be super nice!) Also, I'm not going to repeat anything anyone's already said (about the premium currency, monetization, obtaining items, etc) but i didn't see any comments explaining this, So: mastery rank tests are available once you have enough Mastery Points, which are earned from ranking up your warframes, weapons, companions, and vehicles, the max rank for most things is 30, and each rank is worth 100 mastery points for weapons, and 200 for everything else, Some weapons (as well as the necramechs) can go up to rank 40, but you have to use forma to unlock this (each forma unlocks 2 ranks, so you need 5 forma in total to max out these items, which is kind of annoying) additionally, defeating a specter enemy for the first time in a Junction node will reward you with 1000 mastery points, and each intrinsic you earn with your railjack/in duviri gives you 1500 mastery points, aditionally, clearing the mission objective for any node for the first time will also give you mastery points but they're much less than ranking up your items (unsure on the specific amounts for this one) Warframe also has nightwave, which is just a typical reward tier system for performing weekly and daily tasks in the games, it's very helpful to new players since it tends to give free weapon slots, warframe slots, and forma and they recently reviewed the tasks to make completing them more accessible All in all, i didn't struggle that much with the game feeling aimless at the start, i think it's bc i'm used to, well, an Older videogame design model, when you would have to REALLY have to figure out completely by yourself where to go next or just blindly stumble into plot while exploring (Final Fantasy 1 my beloathed)
platinum (the premium currency) is tradeable, so you can actually not spend a cent on the game and still get stuff instantly. And a few of the best weapons, being Kuva and Tenet variants (you dont know what that means yet), as well as the transforming weapons, arent purchasable with platinum to incentivise actually playing the game
@@Vizzient In fact, once you get to Cetus, you have access to a frame (gara), that you can build to have a passive kill aura that is larger then most melee weapons can reach. Not only is it a kill aura it also lowers the damage you take by a whole 90%, so while you have it on it is like you have 10x hp plus, the longer you have it going the stronger it hits, and you can keep the aura up 100% of the time. (so if you don't want to farm up for the fancy weapons, know you have an option to play a early game frame that by just existing, will out damage even the best weapons without pressing the shoot or melee button once) From Cetus in an early quest, you also can a frame (Revenant) that can turn energy into charges that not only block a certain amount of hits, but reflect the damage and status effect back, and you also can keep this ability up without end. Meaning, as long as you recast the ability before all the charges are up you not only can not take a fatal blow, you can't even loss a single point of hp. Later in game you get the ability to give yourself a passive 5 energy/s and if you mix the two you don't even need to have the enemies drop energy orbs to keep the charges up non-stop. Also, did I say, the fastest you can lose charges is one a second, as each time you lose a charge you become invulnerable for a whole second. So, as soon as you can get 10 charges - 7 (if you decrease the cost of abilities). Nothing can kill your frame. With more charges giving you time if you mess up the timing. Most single player games don't even come with god-mode/kill aura cheats, and warframe gives both to f2p players. Even if they wanted to not much they could offer that will be p2w.
Great video on a new person perspective. Warframe does struggle with new player information -- When I got a friend to try it out, I was on discord with him talking through a bunch of things that happen at the start and told him what to ignore to begin with. The premium currency that is implemented in this game might be the most fair system a F2P "mmo" game created at this scale. Premium currency can be traded between players which means that currency is available for F2P players by traded Mods and other things obtained through play (lots of good trade items can be farmed very early into playing). Everything that has a power value attached can be obtained in game. No power gated by $$. The only thing gated by money is pure cosmetics.
@@Vizzient Luckily, in that exact vein, Warframe also has one of the least toxic communities in its niche! Just stay out of region and trade chat, and it's actually very unlikely you'll ever meet an unfriendly or unhelpful player, since the few assholes we do have tend to hang in those two chat windows So welcome, new Tenno! Glad to have you joining the fight!
Everyone is talking in the comments that the premium currency is unnecessary but the best thing about warframe for me, besides gameplay, is that there are cosmetic items made by community members that you can buy and they get a % of the sale (or get paid upfront I'm not sure). I love it.
You can earn Premium currency for free, I've been playing for years and have earned over 600$ worth of it, never spent any real money and have every cosmetic i wanted.
I've been playing since the beta over a decade ago but I'll sometimes take extended breaks and when I come back there's been 2 new updates, 3 new currencies and a dozen new resources all with made up names meaning that even watching a video to bring myself up to speed is like watching that Rock & Morty "How a Plumbus is Made" clip. And I'm a "veteran", if I get that confused after an 18 month break I can only imagine how hard it is for someone starting at square 1 to get up-to-date.
9:42 On the shop. 1. Everything that you can buy in the shop, you can obtain in the game with a bit of grinding 2. The *mods* you were talking about in the premium shop are, actually, *completely useless* at least if you've been playing a while. That's an issue some veteran players have with the premium shop because it shows you "hey look at these cool mods" and you don't know that you can actually earn those mods through gameplay later on, and even when you earn them you still need to rank them up. 3. (unrelated to the shop but related to the next point you brought up). Yes, there are certain missions you can completely run through without fighting anyone, but, some missions actually require you to kill a certain number of enemies or *a certain enemy* (who will be highlighted). So, no, you don't need to kill everyone, at least at first. Your player-character power scaling in Warframe is fairly high, but enemies also do scale. By the mid game you'll feel like you can cruise through most encounters without much trouble...and then you start running into things like Sorties, where the enemies tend to have a higher level-spike. Then you get into things like Arbitrations and Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, where if you don't have a powerful build you can just die...nearly instantly...but you can also conquer these. Then at the end of the starchart you unlock the Steel Path, which is the starchart again but with the difficulty slider maxed out. There are some ways to cheese these missions, but they're not all created equal, and most of them do require a lot of knowlege of movement. That's the games real difficulty curve, maxing out your mobility.
agreed at the cash shop point. I still remember fuming when I only got 50 starter platinum, but the other guns cost at least 200 platinum. until you realize you can click each gun and the game will tell you how to farm them, majority of the gun you can just straight up buy the blueprint to be build in foundry.
I remember a couple years back buying 1k platinum to get more warframe and weapon slots. Few months later I had alot of slots, weapons, frames and 4k platinum. All cause of rolling good riven mods, farming prime frame parts and selling them to others. If you so desire, you can literally never spend a dime and end up having anything you want.
The main story of warframe is in its quests. The main goal is to unlock planets and new nodes to unlock the quests to continue on with the warframe main story line. While doing that, players will unlock new equipment, warframes, pets etc. The fastest way to learn all these stuff is by joining a clan. Most of the clans are beginner friendly so they will help out new players as much as possible with all the questions. MR or mastery rank is basically ur account level. The more equipment or warframes you level up the higher your mastery rank gets. The in-game currency (platinum) is by no means necessary to buy. You can trade with other players to get platinum. When i started out a random guy traded me mesa prime set just for one ammo mod XD. Have fun
As someone with almost 800 hours into this game but is constantly trying(and succeeding) at getting new players into it, there's a lot of stuff i see that i really dislike about warframes first impressions on people due to poor UI. I think the biggest thing that I've always despised is them putting the premium currency prices first on the weapon/warframe/companion ui when u go to equip stuff. A first time player seeing platinum being the first pricing when they go to look at the gear they can equip, instead of the normal currency for the blueprint and THEN you can click on the item to see the premium price if you wanna skip the grind for it hurts a first timers view of the game so hard that I've seen many many people instantly drop it upon seeing that. The worst thing you can do in a f2p game from a new player standpoint is show them a wall of "spend money on this". Not to mention like in your situation when you went into the shop to view the premium currency packages, you would natrually assume the mods in the highest pack are some exlusive bonus making the game more p2w because the UI didnt state that those mods are freely farmable in game. There's so many things in warframr that can be referred to as "kill screens" early on that would make a large majority of new people leave either because it gives a wrong impression of being greedy/scummy or so overwhelming that they don't want to interact with the systems.
Unfortunately people can really underestimate the value of these experiences as a new player and it's too bad when they can easily keep people away from what is actually a great game. Glad to hear your insight thank you!
The platinum shop is not bad at all because you can trade for platinum with other players for items. And anything that affects your game, you can get through grinding.
this game is 100 percent free ever gameplay item and content is free but grindy but the combat is so fun you want to and also if you are new when you build stuff it does take time like 3 days but it’s worth the wait
this is one of my favorite games ever i love that you don't have to spend a dime to enjoy the game(i have spent a lot of money in cosmetics) the community is great and the customization is so fun if you give it a try it keeps getting better its one of the games where i don't mind spending money every once in a while because i feel they are worth it edit 1: also almost every thing you see in game like weapons vehicles companions and warframes you can get in game without spending a dime or you can buy it if you are lazy also if you are frustrated remember that the game started 10 years ago so it had a slow start I'm curious if you make a new video if you always need help just ask on the question community tab
For people worring about the cons here are my answers: Most everything can be crafted with resources you can pick up it just takes time, you can chose to buy them with the premium currency to have less grind, but this game is a mmo so grind is also expected. And for the why am i here part it does feel like that starting out but the story really picks up later in the game with one of the best stories I have found available. It slowly pickes up at phobos and that is where you should start having a lot more unlocked and find a lot of new environments, enemy's and bosses.
Warframe progression is actually structured very well. Starting missions aren't meant to be a challenging experience, but a teaching experience. Get in, shoot stuff, see how a specific mission plays, do the thing, get out. Later on, at around level 30-35, modding starts playing a bigger role, as enemies become tankier and tankier; level cap, a difficulty that only a few endgame players dare and have time to reach, sits at enemy level of 9999. After completing the starchart, a player is suppposed to hold themselves comfortably at enemy levels of 50-100, that's the teritory of liches. Next setting is Steel Path, which is basically the same starchart you just completed, but with way tankier enemies, with more damage reduction and more health, but also double the drops. Beyond that, there's only level cap to strive for, again if you have enough time to spend in some endless mission until enemy level increases to the max. As for the cash shop, well yeah, the free game is bound to have one, and you can buy guns and frames, but purchase alone will not give you a cutting edge; you have to understand how a piece of gear plays, what are its strengths and weakneses, it has to be modded well, and all that comes with experience and grind for endo, a resource that is used to make mods stronger. Small tip: less mods with higher ranks is way better than more mods with no ranks. Another thing about premium currency: it's tradable between players. That's how many free2players are getting by; go farm something sellable, it takes a bit of time, but there will always be someone who can't or don't want to grind for it.
I missed this. There is a Campaign. At your level, you will unlock them as you go throughout the star chart and doing the junctions between world. After that, they can be found in the Codex in your ship.
Your quests are divided into 3 types. Main-Story Quests Side-Silly little things Frame-gives lore about individual warframes and unlocks main BP for that frame.
@@Vizzient If you ever ask for help, you may get the response of "Do your star chart". This I not us tossing you aside. Earth Nodes are best done solo. Venus is where you should start finding other players. (Endless missions-Defense, survival, or excavation will be the best places to meet other players and grind exp) I'll also answer your question about Master Rank-You unlock the test by maxing "mastering" weapons and frames. Level max for 98% of things is 30. Don't worry about that other 2 yet.
I’ve been looking for something to play and grind. I’ve also only tried warframe like once back on the ps4 lol. Watching this video makes me wanna give it another shot
They sell some cosmetics for cash only, but every weapon or warframe they sell, you absolutely can get free in game. This game is a pay to pass (some grind) but not pay to win.
Certain cosmetics aside, everything you can buy with the premium currency, you can farm in game some way or another, so paying is completely optional and generally speaking all it gets you is to skip the grind and the crafting waiting times
As someone who loves warframe for its gameplay and story, I have never purchased any gameplay items from the in-game market. I have however spent money given how many hours I have in the game, so it is only fair that I pay. And even then I can say that almost 90% of my premium currency that I have is from selling stuff to other players when I have duplicate from my farmings. The trading scene is very active especially when a new update drops because everyone is trying to complete their set. The only time I would spend my premium currency is when I buy stuff from other players because my RNG for that part of a set eluded me for so long or when I want a particular cosmetic in the shop. I think the community as a whole kinda hates it when cosmetics are only obtainable if they are bundled together with gameplay items, because when a new update comes out, everyone wants to experience the grind on the new gamemode/boss fight/mechanics for the drop. And almost everyone wants to buy the new cosmetics. So you can see the conflict there. DE has been great in making sure that in there's a cosmetic bundle for the collectors but wants the grind and a complete bundle if they feels that the grind is a bit too much and want to skip that part.
After playing Warframe, I get bored of other game, because how detail and the time effect that the developer team is willing to put into this game. The movement is epic, shooting is epic, nuke the map is fun. And there is so much stuff in this game, and is not even 40GB, where Destiny 2 is aleard over 110 GB.
@@Vizzient I know, I was so hyped for all the AAA games this year, and it scared me after launch. WF doesn't have that problem, the next update "Whisper in the Wall, all theplayer base is hype about it, cause DE never disappoint them. And also the community is really friendly, sometimes you can even find thosehigh-levell, end game players looking to help new players. Or you can go to chat and ask for help.
Warframe is definitely the most fair F2P game I have ever played. The cash shop is just pay to progress faster or pay for cosmetics and you can trade with other people for the premium currency, so you don't need to spend a cent. The "battle pass" is completely free and has no paid option, you can't even pay for it if you wanted to and often offers rewards that benefit you greatly like weapon slots and warframe slots. The only things that you cannot obtain in the game outside of cosmetics is the founders exclusive Excalibur Prime warframe and its weapons, the Lato Prime and the Skana Prime. I think that is fair, since the founders bought the game at launch based completely on trust in the developer's vision and what a vision it has become! Everything else in the game is fully obtainable. Every warfarme is like a new class in any other game, plays completely differently from one another and there are over 50+ warframes now with the developers adding at least 3 to 4 every year. I get blown away by the sheer number of new things that are introduced every time I return to the game after taking a break. The one thing that I can say that is even remotely negative is just how completely overwhelming it can be for new players and the new player experience is not really that great. There are multiple systems upon systems that can overload a new person who is playing without someone guiding them. Granted, part of this is due to the game's age and a whole decade worth of development, but the way the game introduces these systems to new players could really be improved upon.
Now that the P2W worries have been completely dispelled really the only complaint I have is being overwhelmed now... which isn't much of a negative list at all! Appreciate the insight and perspective my dude 😎
About the cash shop, you can just ignore it outright since the premium currency is free because of the player trading system. You get loot you trade, you get currency you trade back to loot you want The only time you will have to use you walker is when tou want specific cosmetics
Good video! I'd like to touch on the point of the mods in the premium currency pack you were worried about, @Thaylien here in the comments put it very well but I just wanted to say those specific upgrades you see in the pack are fairly common drops from in game missions and enemies. The seeking fury mod for example is just some random mod they threw in there because why not I suppose lol, that mod is very common and more than likely if you just play normally you'll get dozens of them. This game is by far the most fair monetization model I've seen in a game, I hate microtransactions in games and I'm happy to say I've been playing warframe for nearly a decade now and never have I felt I needed to spend any cash on it And the best part is I'm no weaker than someone who has spent some, I've got some of the most powerful setups you can possibly obtain just from playing and trading goodies between other players So don't worry about monetization it's a total non issue with the way they handled it Also I'd like to add the UI is still very clunky just because of how much stuff there is at this point, if you see something you like (other than tennogen cosmetics that players made and get paid through purchases which I think is awesome) just check by clicking is it has a blueprint and if not the wiki is always helpful to have, everything is obtainable in game mostly without some ridiculous grind like some games so no worries there Hope you enjoy playing if you plan on continuing and welcome!
About the platinum, all the guns are free, you can craft the by buying the blueprint with non premium currency or by finding it in missions (depends on the weapon) the platinum is for skipping craft times and skins (wich al lot of them are free as well u just have to find them in game)
I played the game when it first came out for consoles. Had fun for a year then i joined the military. 6 years later I tried to get back into it and I was lost. Took a while to get familiar again.
Maybe this comment section is younger, but i see allot of glad i dont have to spend money". That is fair. At my age though, its not about the money, its the time i value. I started warframe when i was in my late teens on ps4. 10 years later hopping back on, my progress remains relevant. If im tired after work and can only grind an hour, i can buy plat to expedite. I still have to earn the materials so i cant buy everything, but i can expedite it. Warframe is great on it's pacing
The premium currency is tradable between players, so you don’t need to buy any. And the weapons and mods for platinum are all obtainable without plat by getting their blueprints
The thing about the micro transaction is 1 the mods you get with the bigger packages are terrible nobody used them, also you can grind items in game to trade to others for the premium currency, people makes 10’s of thousands of plat without spending a dime
8:43. Here's the thing that Warframe does RIGHT though. You don't HAVE to touch this. You don't even have to KNOW it exists. You can just trade the currency with other players. You can get this currency from trading with other players OR by even dismantling some high-tier items, if I remember correctly. Another thing, it's also completely optional since all the items for platinum are either able to purchase for the regular currency as a blueprint, or even just skip it completely as it's cosmetic AT BEST. You really don't need to TOUCH the platinum store at all.
DE has a intro system in place to introduce you to different content in a linear fashion, so eventually you will learn what everything means. if you don't know right now you will later kind of thing, they don't put you in the dark on things its more that they don't want to bombard you with everything at once. The star chart can be confusing for new players as it was for me when I started, best thing I can say, is to just do what you want to do, the game will help you out it some way if you don't know.
Warframe has an awesome player community. I've never had a problem getting help from other players on how or when to do things, or getting squad mates to help with difficult missions. Yes, the game does not hold your hand and you have to figure out a lot for yourself, but the community comes in clutch
Warframe is 100% f2p friendly. You can actually easily earn platinum through trading with other players in Locations like Maroo's Bazaar. Yes it does throw a ton at you very quickly. I had a similar experience when I first played, however, when I returned years later I found myself playing this game constantly and grinded out to Mastery Rank 27. Its certainly worthwhile as a game you can quite honestly drop away from for months at a time then die right back into it where you were and feel just as sucked in as the first time you started it. On the plus side there isn't any crazy downside to not playing for a while either. Just jump right in wherever you were and get back into the fun grind of it! 1000% recommended.
Warframe is absolutely massive until it isnt, best advice would be take your time, focus the star chart and dont rush endgame, once you complete a mission its completed forever and before you knoe it your MR 30 and waiting for new content between long breaks, love this game and im glad you enjoyed/ covered it great vid. On a side note, if you plan on playing for a while look up how to get the acceltra, pretty much makes the game simple for a while before you hit steel path and pending on the build makes that easy af too lol
That's a bit of a stretch, you are assuming that he is gona be playing for 1000+ hours to get to that point, even if he speed runs his way it will still take hundreds of hours to get to late game and even then there is tones of content to do. most people drop before even reaching the start of the story because they assume the finishing the star chart is the end.
@MEYH3M Mr 30 takes a bit acceltra doesn't take long was just trying to explain it from someone who's played a bit, the real stretch is your claim of hundreds of hours, sorry but no starchart and required quests isn't even a hundred hours let alone multiples of
@@John_Conner_ I never said, star chart or doing all the quests take hundreds of hours, i said you need 1000+ hours to even get close to the point where the game "isnt massive" anymore, like you said. It takes 2k hours to even start running out of content and getting to the point where you are just waiting for new updates.
the funny thing about the highest tier of plat purchase is that 2 of those 3 mods are actually completely worthless and the 1 that IS actually useful can be gotten off of another player for like 5-10 plat and ontop of that has an upgraded version that can only be bought from a vendor that uses a type of currency that can only be gotten through gameplay
To anyone who is interested in trying out Warframe, the number one thing I would say is to be patient, have fun, and just try to learn how the game functions, just like he was doing in the video. I have played roughly 1500 hours and there are still tons of things about the game I don't completely understand simply because of the depth. There is no other game I've ever played that has the depth of Warframe. This game absolutely gets better and better the more you play it. As you play and progress, you are constantly achieving new levels of power and access to harder content that makes it worth all the time you put in to get to that point. Where most games have an early game and an end game, Warframe is just an ever evolving process of progression that just gets more and more satisfying the more you play. Truly the best designed game out there in my opinion with hands down the best gaming community I've ever experienced.
Never spend Platinum on weapons or warframes, they are meant for cosmetics (from market) or hard to find items or vaulted prime items (through trade). Mastery is increased primarily by leveling weapons and warframes to level 30/40 (vaulted prime items are also required) getting to the current max rank (33) means you have to get every weapon, warframe, etc to max rank plus some extra stuff like planet nodes and intrinsics
The game has a hard start but it’s worth it long term. And yes the game is FULLY FREE. Most of the things you see can be farmed or earned. The game is a pay to slip a couple of hours.
Warframe is definitely a casual time sink typa game, you pace yourself through the content then whenever you reach the second dream quest all the time you spent with other systems suddenly snaps together and your hooked
i enjoyed every minute of this games main story quest. and the gameplay is just awesome. and I just love the Railjack, Archwing And Nechramech even though most people doesn't. Looking forward to more content from this game.
Warframe is a great game for combat and lore/story lovers. Been playing for a year and while it's overwhelming at first, it seems less overwhelming than Path of Exile or BDO. The monetization in Warframe is my golden standard for F2Ps. No gacha bs. Free battle pass. Premium currency is tradable. Also, the dev communications is topnotch. The community in general is friendly and chill. This is one of the few games where spending doesn't make me feel guilty. One of the few games where I spent just to support the developers cause I feel that I'm getting more than I give. 😅
Maybe you figured it out already but you can upgrade mods to make them far stronger. They are the main source of your power. I noticed all your mods are unranked so i wanted to mention this.
the thing about the tennogen skins that cost dollars is that those are actually community made, so by purchasing one of those skins you actually support indipendant artist who's creation made it to the game, they get paid everytime someone buys their skins.
The real money currency is just for cosmetics or to skip a grind, it doesn't affect your in game power level.. and you can easily trade it from other players without spending any real money. Nowadays people use it maybe just to donate to the developers.. cause tbh they deserve it :D
No.1 Welcome to the community! I'm Mr 21 Ign is General-Grevious 2. Currency is entirely optional! Anything you can spend platinum, you can grind for.its mainly used for direct purchases or trading with other players (PLAYER RAN ECONOMY) 3. Warfrane has a huge and helpful player base.
i know you are being told this in the comments but i just have to say it as well. all warframes and weapons can cost plat but when you click "purchase" it takes you to a screen that gives you the option to buy the weapon blueprint for free with creditw
9:00 Warframe has the BEST ingame Shop out there. I have over 800h in Warframe and I only spent 70€ (very recently but for purly cosmetik stuff) u can earn the Platinum from other Players Via traded. It is super fun to Trade with other Players and Build Your own trading Empire. I got around 1.000 - 2.000€ from other Players just from Trading. Super fun and F2P friendly. U can get super OP without spending 1$.
you’re not at fault for not knowing this since you’re new to the game but you will get most of your platinum from trading with other players. i’ve had the game for 5 years played it off and on and never once bought plat. i’m waiting for a 75% discount (you give them as a daily reward sometimes) but at that point it’s more to just support the devs
If you look at Warframe as a 3rd person Diablo / PoE [(complexity)] it all makes a little more sense. Especially when you start getting deep into mods and builds.
I think someone already told you but the premium currency is tradable between other players so you can play and get most of the stuff in game for free by trading prime parts warframe/weapons/rare mods so yeah Just a fyi. Nice video can't wait for the next one
Please keep playing it, the game is so much fun, everything you can buy with money, is also obtainable while just playing the game. But please keep on it, it'll get better as you play it
So, just a heads up, with the monetization, everything functional is farmable. Things locked behind either platinum or actual money are always cosmetic. You can also trade platinum and other goodies with players to farm platinum, which can be used just the same as platinum you buy with money. Otherwise, things locked behind real money are made by the community, where artists submit their work and get a cut of the money for it, and that's called Tennogen. Edit - Also a note, the best weapons can't really be bought with money, and even so they require serious mod investment to handle "endgame" content. You can't buy a buncha plat, pick up a shiny new prime weapon and drop into a level 100 mission. In fact you really can't buy most of your power, only really skip some grind.
About 5 years ago I played Warframe after playing Destiny, and all I could wonder was: why is anyone playing Destiny? Ok maybe Destiny has changed since then (it has), but so has Warframe, and almost all the updates in that 5 years are still playable and in game. (Not a lot of "vaulted" content) The game is brutal for new players; it doesn't explain things well *at all*. Heck, I still don't understand everything. But the community is usually great in answering questions, and if you stick with it there's a lot of fun to be had and a really unique story to experience.
Also new players as all players have access to chat which everyone in chat can answer questions. I spent 4 hours with a new players after he asked giving him advice and tips on everything (without spoiling) just cause he asked for help in chat
As someone who has 1,500 ish hours now, if you have the time and fortitude to get 100 hours in before its actually fun yes if not no. U managed to by picking volt because fast = fun
I like how the market isnt pushed in ur face like other games. They never push it in ur face and its completely optional and offers no sense of free to play since its all cosmetics
For people worried about the premium currency shop:
Aside from those games that are up-front purchase for everything in the game, no in-game shop, no special edition and no paid battle pass.
agreed, couldnt have put it better myself
Well said
Great insight friend thank you!!
This needs to be the pinned comment
That's great definitely an underappreciated thing about games that feel like this. Nobody wants a game taking advantage of FOMO 😆
Inkust did, im actyally jelous of new players, they have so much contenr, 4 open world maps, the about 5 story quests which getting all fo them sum.up aboit 20 hrs of gameplay (unlocking them and playing them together)
@@thebatman7347 Don't forget several additional Syndicates over the years lol
The other side of this is that its very hard to waste your time doing a mission. You can do practically any mission and it will go to some amount of earning you something worthwhile at some point.
I mean I’ve come back after 4 years and have no idea what to do and am very lost
That's actually super ironic timing 😂 but great to hear!!
I already have a lot of destiny tattoos, and that game is very near and dear to me, so warframe tats will be right at home.
same, ive only spent money on cosmetics. the game truely respects the grind you put into. the trade system is amazing
yea, platinum doesn't really do anything aside from general basic expansion, cosmetics, and grind skip.
I like that explanation gives some good insight thanks 😎
@@domsantiago5444 trust me... I know I made a whole series of videos with that guy who made millions of kuva. It was...
an interesting experience...😂
ok where to start, this game is phenomenal. everyone that starts this game starts at the same place which is being overwhelmed by the aspects of the game (i like that part since it doesnt make it well known like most games). i myself am not a full on pro player, currently at mastery rank 20, max is 30 (the max level for pretty much everything is 30, there are exceptions) as for your mastery rank, if you go into the menu and profile you will see the xp bar, there it shows the things you have done to gain the xp for the mastery rank up. long story short pretty much anything you do gets you xp
as for your cons, those can be dwindled down to it only being overwhelming at the start (even up to mastery rank 0 i still had no clue what i was doing half the time). this game IS NOT P2W, let me clarify, yes there is the premium currency called platinum (which you start out with 50) and it can be used for all sorts of things like adding more weapon, and warframe slots to getting many and i mean many cosmetics, yes as you have seen in the currency shop you can get rewards for buying the higher tier platinum those rewards being mods, you can get everything in the game without using platinum (cosmetics aside). but one of the things that makes this game amazing and better than most is that PLATINUM IS EASY TO GET, EVEN AS A FREE TO PLAY PLAYER. thats because platinum, the premium currency in warframe can be traded, you can trade almost anything. and the best way to get customers for the items you sell, or if you want an item you want to buy with platinum (note that you cannot trade the 50 platinum you start with, those are best used to get a weapon/warframe slots) is to use a site called warframe market, this website is easy to use, it isnt associated with the game so its fan made, all it is, is a marketplace for people that advertise wanting to buy or sell items. making alot of platinum is very easy if you use warframe market, you can also trade at the bazaar but using the market is better.
as for your other con of "what to do" well you can do whatever you want, but what you mainly want to do on a regular basis is to unlock all the planets i recommend getting to uranus, the story gets amazing at that point. on a side note you can do so much in the game, from getting your favorite warframes, to getting pets, to unlocking new weapons and so much more. yes the game is overwhelming at first but i assure you if you keep playing then you will understand everything in time. there are even very helpful beginner videos on yt to get you going. just know that the game may be easy now but that will change the further you get.
the game itself is spectacular but what i most love about it is the community, everyone ig or out are always willing to help. hell they even give you free stuff, but if you ever have a question you can ask in game, on reddit or ask me and ill answer if i can. its been a couple months since i last played warframe since i gave myself a break after playing it nonstop. but ill definitely be getting back into it because of the new update released on tennocon.
I know most everything, if you want genuine help I have a discord and can answer some questions
Sweet this is good to know. Y'all definitely reassuring me it's not a P2W 😎

I have 2000 hours in both Warframe and destiny 2. My advice: who’s destiny?
LMAO point taken
Goodluck
Welcome to warframe! I definitely recommend you play until the quest war within. It gets really good, trust me 💜💜
As a player I can assure you,you can farm EVERY weapon and Warframe,I know that at first it docent look like it,but I can assure you can, also you can trade in game for platinum so if you want to buy something with that you can (odo it will most likely by weapon/warframe slots for a LONG will)
Honestly I think if they just revamped the store UI it would do them a service to help lessen worries towards new players.
Actually was just recently learning about the blueprint system seems pretty extensive!
Nice vid ^-^
Just wanna say that in Warframe, anything and everything can be farmed for free, nothing's really locked behind the Platinum and shop other than skins and cosmetics.
The Mods you see can be farmed in missions and the Platinum itself can be traded with other people, you can feasibly earn a thousand in a week just by trading items ^-^
Appreciate the support and the insight friend :)
Its pretty stupid that platinum is called premium currency even though you can earn it by playing and selling stuff to other players
Yeah that's a bit of a misnomer on their part that does them no favors 😆
to be fair, all platinum has to be bought to exist in the first place, so its technically premium
Lol that is actually insane considering how good it looks
I've heard that DE has a super old shitty computer that they always test to make sure new content can run on it. They only recently dropped 32 bit support too which is wild.
doesn't it also run on the switch?
@@Vizzientthe only reason i had to stop playing the game is because at some point theres a Boss fight that its not only really hard to do solo, but you kinda need a squad to make it faster to Farm It a Lot.
The problem wasnt that my computer wasnt able to handle fight, It was. The problem was that It took 5 minutes loading the Open world so i would always slow down people.
So yeah, this shit is INSANELLY well optimized.
@@SlabHardcheesenow on IOS hahahaha
Warframe is really so extensive that I've been playing for about a year and a half (started July 2022) and I'm MR27 and i still feel like a noob, it doesn't help that for the longest time i had to play completely solo bc i was on switch and everyone i knew was on PC and i was scared to join a clan and have to deal with toxic people (Turns out the warframe community is very lovely though and my clanmates turned out to be super nice!)
Also, I'm not going to repeat anything anyone's already said (about the premium currency, monetization, obtaining items, etc) but i didn't see any comments explaining this, So: mastery rank tests are available once you have enough Mastery Points, which are earned from ranking up your warframes, weapons, companions, and vehicles, the max rank for most things is 30, and each rank is worth 100 mastery points for weapons, and 200 for everything else, Some weapons (as well as the necramechs) can go up to rank 40, but you have to use forma to unlock this (each forma unlocks 2 ranks, so you need 5 forma in total to max out these items, which is kind of annoying) additionally, defeating a specter enemy for the first time in a Junction node will reward you with 1000 mastery points, and each intrinsic you earn with your railjack/in duviri gives you 1500 mastery points, aditionally, clearing the mission objective for any node for the first time will also give you mastery points but they're much less than ranking up your items (unsure on the specific amounts for this one)
Warframe also has nightwave, which is just a typical reward tier system for performing weekly and daily tasks in the games, it's very helpful to new players since it tends to give free weapon slots, warframe slots, and forma and they recently reviewed the tasks to make completing them more accessible
All in all, i didn't struggle that much with the game feeling aimless at the start, i think it's bc i'm used to, well, an Older videogame design model, when you would have to REALLY have to figure out completely by yourself where to go next or just blindly stumble into plot while exploring (Final Fantasy 1 my beloathed)
Appreciate the info my dude very helpful
platinum (the premium currency) is tradeable, so you can actually not spend a cent on the game and still get stuff instantly. And a few of the best weapons, being Kuva and Tenet variants (you dont know what that means yet), as well as the transforming weapons, arent purchasable with platinum to incentivise actually playing the game
Crazy how much I'm learning from y'all in the comments though for real 🫡
@@Vizzient In fact, once you get to Cetus, you have access to a frame (gara), that you can build to have a passive kill aura that is larger then most melee weapons can reach. Not only is it a kill aura it also lowers the damage you take by a whole 90%, so while you have it on it is like you have 10x hp plus, the longer you have it going the stronger it hits, and you can keep the aura up 100% of the time. (so if you don't want to farm up for the fancy weapons, know you have an option to play a early game frame that by just existing, will out damage even the best weapons without pressing the shoot or melee button once)
From Cetus in an early quest, you also can a frame (Revenant) that can turn energy into charges that not only block a certain amount of hits, but reflect the damage and status effect back, and you also can keep this ability up without end.
Guidance from a veteran player is definitely the most valuable thing when it comes to these long standing and super expansive games for sure!
@@Vizzient Luckily, in that exact vein, Warframe also has one of the least toxic communities in its niche! Just stay out of region and trade chat, and it's actually very unlikely you'll ever meet an unfriendly or unhelpful player, since the few assholes we do have tend to hang in those two chat windows
So welcome, new Tenno! Glad to have you joining the fight!
Only thing in the shop that exclusively costs the premium currency is cosmetics. All other items, weapons, mods, ect can be earned for free.
even then, many of the cosmetics can be unlocked through night wave and npc's
Everyone is talking in the comments that the premium currency is unnecessary but the best thing about warframe for me, besides gameplay, is that there are cosmetic items made by community members that you can buy and they get a % of the sale (or get paid upfront I'm not sure). I love it.
The cosmetic sales from the community thing is really unique I love that
You can earn Premium currency for free, I've been playing for years and have earned over 600$ worth of it, never spent any real money and have every cosmetic i wanted.
That's ballin on a budget if I've ever seen it!
1:40 after first 2 quest you can do duviri quest the alternative start, do it and you do play singiel camp for free who look even better xd
Key is to focus on unlocking star chart and make working through story quests. This will help you understand many things
It's definitely an overwhelming feeling pretty quickly
9:42 On the shop.
1. Everything that you can buy in the shop, you can obtain in the game with a bit of grinding
And anything that affects your game, you can get through grinding.
this game is 100 percent free ever gameplay item and content is free but grindy but the combat is so fun you want to and also if you are
new when you build stuff it does take time like 3 days but it’s worth the wait
this is one of my favorite games ever i love that you don't have to spend a dime to enjoy the game(i have spent a lot of money in cosmetics) the community is great and the customization is so fun if you give it a try it keeps getting better its one of the games where i don't mind spending money every once in a while because i feel they are worth it
edit 1: also almost every thing you see in game like weapons vehicles companions and warframes you can get in game without spending a dime or you can buy it if you are lazy also if you are frustrated remember that the game started 10 years ago so it had a slow start I'm curious if you make a new video if you always need help just ask on the question community tab
Yeah certainly have no issue supporting games that you really love! A slow start but I don't think TOO slow. Definitely opens up a ton after a while!
For people worring about the cons here are my answers:
Most everything can be crafted with resources you can pick up it just takes time, you can chose to buy them with the premium currency to have less grind, but this game is a mmo so grind is also expected.
And for the why am i here part it does feel like that starting out but the story really picks up later in the game with one of the best stories I have found available. It slowly pickes up at phobos and that is where you should start having a lot more unlocked and find a lot of new environments, enemy's and bosses.
Id love to see a video from when youve had more time with it to see how your opinion changes
You dont need to pay a dime. When you get further in you can trade with other players for premium currency
Cosmetic purchases are always cool with me 😎 good to know you dont have to though!
Some gameplay direction campaign wise will definitely be nice😎
Your quests are divided into 3 types.
Main-Story Quests
Side-Silly little things
Frame-gives lore about individual warframes and unlocks main BP for that frame.
@@Vizzient If you ever ask for help, you may get the response of "Do your star chart". This I not us tossing you aside. Earth Nodes are best done solo. Venus is where you should start finding other players. (Endless missions-Defense, survival, or excavation will be the best places to meet other players and grind exp)
I'll also answer your question about Master Rank-You unlock the test by maxing "mastering" weapons and frames.
Good to hear!!
Seriously annoying how "big" games have gotten and it is really nice not having that issue with Warframe!
You get loot you trade, you get currency you trade back to loot you want
The only time you will have to use you walker is when tou want specific cosmetics
This game is by far the most fair monetization model I've seen in a game, I hate microtransactions in games and I'm happy to say I've been playing warframe for nearly a decade now and never have I felt I needed to spend any cash on it
And the best part is I'm no weaker than someone who has spent some, I've got some of the most powerful setups you can possibly obtain just from playing and trading goodies between other players
So don't worry about monetization it's a total non issue with the way they handled it
Also I'd like to add the UI is still very clunky just because of how much stuff there is at this point, if you see something you like (other than tennogen cosmetics that players made and get paid through purchases which I think is awesome) just check by clicking is it has a blueprint and if not the wiki is always helpful to have, everything is obtainable in game mostly without some ridiculous grind like some games so no worries there
Hope you enjoy playing if you plan on continuing and welcome!
The only reason I want to play the game is just to fashion frame but it's a late game thing 😢
Yep totally fair to spend money for entertainment you love!
Right on good to know!!
Warframe players laughing in the .0002% of the game that was experienced in this video.
I'll check it out 😎 thanks!!
Acceltra is a bit of a grind, I'd recommend atomos and hek for a secondary and primary combo
All the premium currency stuff can all be earned, or you purchase a blueprint and craft it
Still crazy to me this game is just free anyways 😆
@Vizzient it's fantastic bro, there are also always people willing to help
I played this years ago, fuck it looks amazing on ps5 now. I remember the combat being a lot of fun, making me feel like a powerful super soldier.
Also there’s fishing, hoverboarding, mining, and other stuff :D
Maybe you figured it out already but you can upgrade mods to make them far stronger. They are the main source of your power. I noticed all your mods are unranked so i wanted to mention this.
if you ever wonder why the shooting is so good in Warframe. Digital Extremes is the company who made the UT games for Epic.
the thing about the tennogen skins that cost dollars is that those are actually community made, so by purchasing one of those skins you actually support indipendant artist who's creation made it to the game, they get paid everytime someone buys their skins.
Haven’t played since 2018, 6 years later and I’m ready to dive back in
The real money currency is just for cosmetics or to skip a grind, it doesn't affect your in game power level.. and you can easily trade it from other players without spending any real money. Nowadays people use it maybe just to donate to the developers.. cause tbh they deserve it :D
No.1 Welcome to the community!
I'm Mr 21 Ign is General-Grevious
2. Currency is entirely optional! Anything you can spend platinum, you can grind for.its mainly used for direct purchases or trading with other players (PLAYER RAN ECONOMY)
3. Warfrane has a huge and helpful player base.
Thanks for the welcome and the info friend!
@@Vizzient Cannt wait to see what you do next with Warframe.
i know you are being told this in the comments but i just have to say it as well.
all warframes and weapons can cost plat but when you click "purchase" it takes you to a screen that gives you the option to buy the weapon blueprint for free with creditw
I dont think he mentioned it. But the soundtrack is up there with the best of them. Neir, Red Dead, Skyrim, Halo.
dont forget the community are not toxic like other, i play this game mostly i find the community are kind compare game i played before
A good community is HUGE!
As a 10 plus year WF vet good luck. It's a truly incredible game, just play at your own pace.
(Not a lot of "vaulted" content)
The game is brutal for new players; it doesn't explain things well *at all*. Heck, I still don't understand everything. But the community is usually great in answering questions, and if you stick with it there's a lot of fun to be had and a really unique story to experience.
Love to hear it my dude 😎
So for the symbol it’s for relics which you unlock later in progression. The platinum is tradeable unless given free
Also new players as all players have access to chat which everyone in chat can answer questions. I spent 4 hours with a new players after he asked giving him advice and tips on everything (without spoiling) just cause he asked for help in chat
Warframe: we have shotguns and rifles and bows and pistols, anything you wanna use
Me: sword go WHOOSH
Bruh sword is OP!!
@@Vizzient The way of the sword is the only way I see my man 😂
As someone who has 1,500 ish hours now, if you have the time and fortitude to get 100 hours in before its actually fun yes if not no. U managed to by picking volt because fast = fun
You can get every gun for free by farming/buying the blueprint from the store
or buy them with platinum
I keep coming back to it, it’s definitely a mane for sure.
I like how the market isnt pushed in ur face like other games. They never push it in ur face and its completely optional and offers no sense of free to play since its all cosmetics
warframe has one of the best in game currency systems. you can earn everything for free or farm things for the premium currency
