Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

I enjoyed this video because usually your husband seems shy and doesn't say much, but when he interacts with his own people and eats Thai food, he is more comfortable and happy. And I liked seeing Luke's perspective of what was interesting for him, through the eyes of a child. 😀
Watt is simple, it doesn’t take much to make him happy, he doesn’t go for the bells and whistles, just simple things, which are the most important. I must say, I’ve never seen him smile as much he seems real happy, especially here, it’s like he’s in his element. I’m happy for him.
Wat is not a man who like fancy stuff like Lily does, wat is a good man and father, spend so much time with his kids and always doing the groceries, I wish Lily cooked more at home and have family time more, wat is so different and not a spoiled brat, he is a great man

Taking care of 3 children is a full time job with overtime hours. He is the best Mr Mom! They are contemplating on opening a restaurant and that will be super difficult with 3 young children. Poor Nam especially as she will be the Nanny and cook. Lilly will work it all out no doubt. The 3 of them make a splendid team!

I was just watching the video and was going to comment how gorgeous Leon’s hair was and don’t cut it, then you mentioned his hair and I was thinking what a coincidence! My son had gorgeous ringlet hair just like Leon’s and so many people told me to cut his hair, and I did, big regret. His beautiful ringlet curls never came back. All your kids are absolutely gorgeous. I am loving watching them grow up ❤❤

Luke and Leon always happy because they love their wonderful parents and are with them so much. USA kids miss their parents cause they are busy doing other stuff.
I traveled Thailand in 1982 when I finished adopting my Thai daughter who was two years old. I was in changmai for a few days and loved it there, so beautiful. I had to finish all the legal stuff with the Thai government and get passport through American embassy. Took 2 years to finalize my adoption. I traveled all over Thailand to see the country , I went to ocean also. Very intense, busy 6 weeks. What a experience. I lost 30 pounds because I could not eat most of their food. I was alone and from Kansas City. Finally got to bring my daughter home to Kansas. She is now age 42 married to American man & they have 2 boys in junior high and high school. I adopted her through the international adoption agency named Holt adoption agency out of Oregon. Thailand is amazing but you have to be very careful too, I was alone and did not know the language. Their food was not for me, not very clean.
I went and saw the opium fields in northern Thailand where they grow and sell their drugs to the world. The people sew beautiful colorful garments by hand. I went through real jungles getting there. I could write a book about the good and bad of Thailand. I remember it all from my trip in 1982.

My brother in law is a doctor and he says try to avoid eating raw pork meat. Its one in a million and you could be the unlucky one. Everyone is smiling and teasing now but seriously if someone suddenly died because of the raw pork dish, its too late to regret then. Love your overseas travelling videos. Ok, Lily you asked... I would never eat raw pork due to the chance of trichinosis which is caused by a specific type of worm.. You can get it from any raw meat, but pork is considered a major carrier of trichinosis.

In EU there is Beef Tartare which is raw and apparently supposed to be sort of cooked in the spices they put in, if beef is clean it’s perfect for bread and “safe”. Reminds me of seafood crevice locally known here in the Philippines as “kinilaw”, which I heard also has other raw meat varieties. Sashimi in Japan has fish or beef, with same dips accompanying them i.e. kudzu or wasabi.
