How I met my Thai husband and moved to Thailand

- This is our love story. I use to own a successful restaurant in New Orleans. In 2013 I went to Vietnam with a Vietnamese Doctor to do a one month volunteer trip teaching the blind how to do acupuncture. When the trip was over I traveled though Cambodia and into Thailand. I walked down Maenam beach on the island of Koh Samui and met my future husband Wat. He showed me all around Thailand and treated me like a queen.
When I went back to the USA I told my mom that we should start an import business. We opened a clothing company together and I went back to Thailand to be with my love.
I have owned several businesses here in Koh Samui and I look forward to sharing more with you all about my expat life in Thailand.

The character of a man is what will move a woman's heart. It's not just the financial. Lilly is perfect example. Thank you for sharing your story, Lilly!
Can't agree more! This is exactly what I am going through! Fat bank balance, no character! Miserable and selfish.
Perfect example stand for nothing , fall for anything. Will end in tragedy. Maybee when she leaves Thailand she can find a nice black man to abuse her
@@vasanthajennings8653 Guess he's doesn't share his fat bank balance, huh

That’s amazing how your mom was so supportive of your choices. My mom would’ve called me crazy and locked me in the basement 😆

Your mother would have been 100% correct too
Absolutely...Mine did, and emotionally blackmailed me until I went home and gave up my new life. Biggest regret of my life.
If your husband gives you unconditional love like that ... you are blessed !
Agree with you
the part when she talked about her past relationship, you could still see the sadness in her eyes, but when she turned the page & talked about her journey, you could see how happy her face turned to be.
Life is full of opportunities & sparkles. Thanks for your story

Honestly your moms the real hero here! Moms hardly tell their daughters to pack up and move across the world for a man! Good for you!!!!
❤️ when you talked about how he made you feel like a queen. I now know I shouldn’t settle until I find someone who makes me feel the same way 🤗 thank you for sharing!
You are Baby Girl ,So I am here for someone , I will care you millions time ..❤️💗
You are already starting on the wrong foot. You should ask how do you make your partner feel before anything else.
Absolutely.
The biggest lesson here is sometimes it takes one to travel halfway aroound the world to find someone who truly appreciates! Congrats for finding yours. You truly deserve the happiness after helping the blind in Vietnam. May your channel continue to be successful onwards.
Lilly proved that Love has no barriers. When she said they were staring at each other for 30 mins, there was something that pulled them together and that energy is called Love❤💗💗💗. dude came in at the right moment. its really perfect timing! Lilly is truly beautiful inside out!

All mother's should be supportive. Sorry, all parents should be supportive it's normal. I definitely am supportive of whatever my son WANTS TO do, as it's his life to live not mine. I guide him and he listens sometimes, other times he has better ideas. We learn off People everyday. They could be children, TEENAGERS, older grandma's, uncles. We all LEARN from EACH other.

Brothers or sisters, the kingdom of GOD is near, we need to repent and believe in Jesus Christ, so that our sins can be forgiven, and we can have eternal life.
If we don't believe in Jesus, we will die in our own sins.
Lying, Stealing, murders, evil heart, revellings, hatred, emulations, arrogant, strife, Envyings, commit adultery, seditions, bad words, porn, didn't honour father and mother, worship idol, homosexual, fortune teller, black magic, blasphemed GOD, claiming self to be GOD, calling a man as GOD, worship things made of gold, silver, wood, stone or other materials, worship animal as GOD, against GOD, did not want to repent and believe in JESUS, take the name of GOD/JESUS in vain and other evils things, these all are sins. If we did 1 of these things before, it makes us sinner. If we continue to do these things or sinning, we will die in our own sins.We need to repent through Jesus, to make our relationship with GOD good again, because There will be a judgement day 1 day, The people who believe in Jesus Christ and follow his commands will enter the kingdom of GOD, but the people who don't believe in Jesus and done evil/bad things/sinners will enter Hell.
Only Jesus can give you joy and real peace in your heart, only Jesus can forgive your sins, only Jesus can lead you to be a righteous man.
No other name except JESUS can save your soul and lead you to heaven.
This is about our eternal life and eternal death, so believe in Jesus and repent(Confess to GOD that we're sinner, stop sinning and follow Jesus teaching), to save our own soul and life.
Repent, and be baptized every one of us in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and we shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit/Ghost will guide us on how to become a righteous man, live and work according to GOD's will.
Lord Jesus said:
luke6: 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
You can read BIBLE online by searching it on google, you can start read from the book of JOHN. You can learn Jesus teaching from there.Or here's one: www.esv.org/John+1/
If you have any stress, problem in your life, you can pray to Jesus and ask for His help, Jesus will listen to your prayer.
GOD is our Father, He is the ONE who made us and everything in this world. It's time for us to return to Him and acknowledge Him as our Father through Jesus Christ. Wake up people, return to your only ONE Almighty GOD and Father.
What an amazing evolution.
I've was told how the Asian woman are dedicated to their husband and kids and how Asian men assist their wives with chores etc.
Being single for 12 years now, it actually petrifies me to think of another relationship.
This clip is very encouraging and it has installed some hope in me.
Lets pray i will nurture this hope and become more confident of entering into a brand new relationship.
Thank you kindly Lilly🤗
need to start traveling now, to find one 🙂
Asian men do not assist their wives with chores typically. Wat is the exception.

living in Asia, each day is like an adventure. Living in the US, each day is routine. I've should've stayed in Asia. Congrats on your successful life change.
grass is always greener
Yes. You are Exactly Right.
I thought I'm the only one feeling that way.
Life in US is Sucks, even you got Most of Everything. Still Sad Life
Disagree. There are so many adventures to be had in the USA. It's all in the mindset. Anyplace can just become a routine. America is a wonderful country, with wonderful people, and places.
For Westerners, life in SE Asia is interesting and adventurous because it's new, different and almost opposite to the typical life in the US. The locals there are also fond of Westerners. However, if you asked 1st generation Asian-Americans who grew up there part of their early lives and came to the US and finished their formative years, I think "most" would say that SE Asia is fun for a vacation but to live there is another thing. At least that's the case with me, my relatives and friends, which are Cambodian, Thai and Vietnamese. All of us have the financial means to live in SE Asia very comfortably. The majority who do go back to live there permanently are retirees of the older generation. Life in the economic powerhouse that is the US is just too impersonal for old age.
I have relatives in SE Asia who'd love for me to come back and live there. I've been visiting every 2-3 years for almost 20 years. The first few times were very nice when I traveled and saw all the places I wanted to see. The nostalgia I felt when meeting relatives/friends from my childhood days was emotionally satisfying. Later it became boring because you can't keep talking about what you did when you were 10. After a while, you realize your interests and theirs are totally different but I still go because it's family. For them, they dream of coming to the US.
I also agree with the comments that life in the US is routine. But if I had the freedom to wander, most of my time would be spent in the western states of the US, western Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. I just love the geological diversity these places have to offer. After N. America is Europe with so much old human history still preserved among modernity. And lastly, some parts of Central and South America.
Adventure, love and purpose of life are really personal. You go where your soul gravitates and your mind find interesting. If a place makes you happy, that's where you belong. For Lilly, I can see/feel the happiness she is emoting. It's really beautiful! With her blue eyes, pretty smile and business mind, she's gold. The bi-racial children will be adored by both families and both cultures. I know because I have Euro-Asians in my family and they seem to be the center of attention most of their lives.
Finding yourself isn't easy. Being poor is hard but money doesn't necessarily make you rich.
Enjoyed your vlogs. Best of luck with your baby!
@@ginnyfromdablock7551 Seems like this vlogger and I disagree with you. So nice to meet you and hear your side.
Life is a journey. Take a lot of turns , forward, detour . The best part is there is someone ride along with you.
Miss Valencia, yes it is true, someone say get along without you now, I hope don't mind, this is only quite popular song name of the late 1960's, try to search (you - tube) name of the singer -> Skeeter Davies, but she has already pass away long time ago, that's all from me in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Thanks.

OMG. I just watched the latest video about your mom and now came to this one. Your mom is adorable and amazing. I love this story so much. My prayers are with you.
In April of 2019 I came to Thailand to experience the water festival. And walking around in Pattaya I sat down in this bar and there was this Thai woman who was limping, and she took care of the paperwork and made sure everyone got their drinks. And there was something I just liked about watching her do her job. We begin to talk and it wasn't long before we just started spending a lot of time together. When she was 21 she had a terrible motorbike accident and pretty much lost the use of her leg. I came back for 2 months Sept & Oct and we spent every day together when she wasn't working. Then the pandemic came and we have been apart since. She lost her job and went back to her family's home. It's very hard for her to find work. No one wants to hire a disabled person. But I'm hoping soon to come back to Thailand around Oct. and spend more time with her,,,,,,,,Thai people just have a wonderful outlook on life. Thailand can change your life,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Many blessings to you Dan🙏🏻
Get back asap..hope you are telling HER this...

@@UplifterMan Why not. And I couldn't agree more with Mike's retrospect.
Her Mom sounds pretty cool. I can imagine a lot of Western mothers of a certain age might have a problem with their daughter marrying a Thai man and moving abroad.
Nice story. You seem very happy and energetic and learned to let your intuition lead you or go with your instincts. I'm in my 70's and am still working on that lesson.
I loved your story. Thank you for sharing with us how you melded your cultures into a long lasting and loving relationship. Your husband is a beautiful man.
sometimes as a man you have to take a chance. a lot of people are gonna think she's way out of his league and that may be the case but he took the chance to go up to her and ask her out and the odds came in his favor. like the World Series of poker sometimes you gotta put all your chips in the middle and let the cards ride. props to homeboy for taking a chance.
Finally the real man have spoken…😉
I was head over heels for this one guy based on his physical features but then when we connected it went down south fast because the chemistry wasn't there and the less we connected the less he became unattractive not because he wasn't handsome but because there wasn't chemistry. What I'm trying to say is looks can only go so far because at the end of the day you want someone that truly cares about you, someone you can have deep conversations with and so on.
Fast forward to now I've been seeing a guy for six months and the chemistry is definitely there and the more I got to know him the more handsome he became to me. Lol
Beauty is really in the eyes of the beholder. Brad Pitt who's known to be one of the sexiest man alive but I don't find him attractive at all. Lol
I think women get to a point in life, especially when they've been treated poorly in previous relationships when you realise that if you've met a good man so you should just go for it and not be worried about it meeting "conventional standards" (whatever that means). A kind heart, honest & caring man is more attractive than anything. Good luck to them both!
@@PlantsAndDough I agree and I can relate to your comment. Many years ago, as a young 20-year old, naive girl, I fell in love head over heels, with an extremely handsome European man. After a short courtship, we got married and I left my family, friends, and country to go to Europe and live with him. I was swept away by his good looks but what a big mistake because the next 10 years were a living hell. As handsome as he was on the outside, he was the ugliest and most horrible human being on the inside. Eventually, with the support of my family back in the US, I gathered up enough courage to leave him and came back home. As the plane took off, I felt like I had been liberated from a monster👺. After being treated so poorly, I swore I would NEVER put myself in a similar situation by making bad choices.
I remained single until my mid-fifties until I met the nicest, most caring, humble human being I had ever met. He was older than me and came into our marriage with very little to offer except his love and endless devotion. For the first time in my life, my days were filled with joy and laughter. Sadly, after 12 years of happiness, he passed away from complications due to Alzheimer's. Young people take note, regardless of good looks or material things, it's the inner beauty in a person that counts and that is Priceless ❤.
Oh my gosh
