Best review ever! I ordered mine, a 180 HDI Shine (Belgium), in november and have it now for 3 weeks. And what a car ! It drives like a Range (said my friend who has one). It feels and drives like a dream, and it's so quiet inside. I am so glad with this car and so is my wife :)

Hello. Like always ... very good review. I don't think this is a real SUV like Toyota Rav4 or Nissan Qashqai. It's more like a family orientated crossover. However, it's a very good looking car with a good suspension, a very comfortable interior and good habitability. Citroen is an innovative brand and the last models launched are proven to be reliable. Keep up the good work!
What makes RAV 4 and Quashkai "real" SUV, and C 5 aircross "not real".??..:):):) What are your criteria?... Actually Citroen has better hydraulic automatic gearbox which allows to do more stuff off road, while Toyota and Nissan has CVT which limits off road abilities. Of course, mechanical gearbox is the best, and actually all of them offer this!
Great review, really going in to the details. Just for the heads up, the image that you show when saying Vauxhall Grandland X, is actually an image of Vauxhall Crossland x. Keep up the good work
How come you still can’t get LED headlights on ANY model of C5 Aircross in RHD markets like the UK, even as an option or on the Flar Plus like in LHD markets, especially as the Peugeot 3008 offers them in both LHD & RHD? And also tell me if it makes sense to get manual gearbox instead of automatic? I had a Citroen ZX estate from 1993-2004, one thing went wrong, the accelerator cable snapped. I also had a BMW 5 series estate from 2007-2012, it was never away from the dealer, I’d say something went wrong every 6 months and once I took it in for what I thought was a £375 service and with other things was billed for £700. Also 3 months after the warranty finished in 2010 the turbo failed, it cost me £1,200 to repair and BMW refused to help in any way. So yeh... give me a Citroen any day.

What's the point of talking hybrid when Citroen cannot give any indication of when car will be launched or put on sale it's a joke. we have been waiting since the launch of the mk2 3008 for the psa phev. And still nearly 5 months into 2019 there us no sign of the car. Went to several Peugeot Citroen & DS salon dealers at the weekend and was met with laughter and don't hold your breath when I asked about this. Come on psa you have been promising for so long that people now believe u cannot make a phev or ev. Psa are very wrong about awd. The fact that's it's not got awd or 4x4 is putting people off. Raised car with 4 wheel are inherently unstable and The fancy traction control does not make up for thus huge over sight in 3008, 5008 DS7 AND C5 AC The lack of a rear arm rest and cup holder is a major over site for families if 3 and 4 which is the European standard. Hate to say there spare wheel is not standard on c5 or 3008. The fold flat front seat is another big boo boo. You keep going on about the phev but dealers are not expecting it in 2019
Despite I like the car, I can agree with you regarding some annoying things which make this car less desirable. My impression is that Citroen has designed this car with primary intention to be comfortable and even a kind of luxurious, and, as they say, to be a temporary replacement for successful C5 limousine. Therefore I can't understand why they've put in the car some typical elements of ordinary "people carriers" like three identical seats in the back row. There is already C4 Spacetourer on the market for people wanting just to "carry" another people. Much better solution has e.g.VW in the Golf SW with narrow middle seat and the armrest in the middle. With three identical seats persons sitting on side seats always are leaned on the door with faces on side windows and heads rubbing the roof. Why it was necessary to spoil cheer and comfort of passengers on rear seats if this car isn't a people carrier obviously? Also, missing of physical buttons in the cockpit, lazy infotainment system, low resolution 360° camera which isn't a real 360° camera, lack of support for 1,5 lit. bottles in doors are things that are not expensive, but can irritate drivers wanting to enjoy in refined and pleasant drive rather than to be constantly terrorized with irritating jumpy ride in "sporty/family" SUVs with stiff suspension. Nevertheless, I don't give up, I will make a test drive and put this car on a shopping list for replacement of my "loving" new Nissan QQ.
seems ok, but there are some issues. no LED headlights even as an option in the UK, (despite people claiming you can get them, you can't, all trims have halogens... in 2020.) only a 4 star Euro Ncap rating, meaning it's one of the least safe cars in the segment. isofix only on outer seats compared to European versions that get three isofix seats in the rear (makes no sense) Rear seats are narrower to fit three so fitting three in the back is still not any easier than other cars, just now you have sacrificed an arm rest. slide the seats all the way forward and there is basically zero legroom, even for kids. sort of defeats the point. And of course, basically no glovebox because after decades Citroen and Peugeot still can't convert their cars to RHD. PSA cars always always come with major compromises...
