HAPPY NEW YEAR!! For all the questions about eating the rainbow and why I'm not the biggest fan of liver, I highly recommend watching this video where I share a lot of the nuance of this topic: ruclips.net/video/EGGuJtV-Jb4/видео.html Ultimately, always find what works for you, and when you don't find it, I hope the levers and nuance I share helps you get closer to finding what works. ❤

I found that I excrete electrolytes on very low carb eating. Drinking plain water made me get dangerously low electrolytes and I had to add in electrolytes to my water. If the meats have all the potassium, magnesium and we use salt, why do we lose so much still?

I’ve been doing carnivore for 7 days. I’m a medical technologist and I can test myself routinely. I was borderline diabetic with an A1C of 6.2%. In only 5 days it’s down to 5.7%. My other labs have already improved quite a bit. Cholesterol is up higher than ever at 233 but I’m not concerned about that. My HDL has always been borderline low, around 38 at the highest. It’s up to 42. Anyone who says the carnivore diet isn’t healthy is wrong. I didn’t expect these changes for at least a month. I’ve lost 12 pounds too. I have 60 more to go. I’m in for the long haul.

4 years of carnivore and I find that I don’t need as much water. I don’t need any supplements. I do need more animal fat but less food overall. I’m 63 years old,32 inch waist, 5’8” 185 pounds no meds no aches or pains. Super strong 15 chin ups no problem. Push ups I can’t count that high. Memory and cognition are as good as ever. So my life is very simple low stress and no limits.

I love your comment at the end that your body is the only place that you have to live. I am really glad for this video. I started carnivore about two weeks ago and there are so many different opinions on how to do it. This is a realistic list that I will definitely incorporate into my carnivore adventure. I already feel better but there are things that I will try and tweak so it is best for me. Thank you so much.

Yes. Keep it simple and listen to your body. But not to carb cravings! Those will take time to fade. Have a Pat of butter and some pork skins and seltzer water to distract from them. Those carb cravings fade away as the bacteria that eat carbs leave your gut.

I grew up in Germany with liverwurst and blood sausage. Im new to Carnivore, less than a week in. I bought frozen calf liver and cooked one slice in the pan, only adding salt. Didn't know what to expect, but I love it! Very delish! It reminds me in taste and texture of my beloved calf liverwurst. I think when you grow up with it you will enjoy it. 🙂

After recently going from 9 years vegan w/ OMAD 20-22IF until next,
next and next I only ate 16 ozs of organic grass feed ground beef. I knew something monumental had happened. It felt like my cells woke up wagging their tails with happy That 1st, 2nd; and 3rd day I did not fall asleep WHILE eating & doing fact plant in my plate of
food like I had done daily for 6 years...I just had sudden fatique so severe I could not have lifted my foot to go up up a step-I did not fall alseep during eating or after!!!
Despite all normal labs and narcolepsy being ruled out this just when on and on in desperation I googled insulin resistance and/or metabolic syndrome search pushed me into a live feed of Dr.Berry's live feed.
Deciding to try somethingbfifferent I did this 180!° diet change.
Holy crappola by day 4 my underwear were too big; day 6 viseral fat shrunk so rapidly it severly compression bruised all those organs now. By day 6 had gone from a size 22 pants to a size 4. thislike unzipping a Sumo Wresers's fat suit costume I stepped out the tiny me as I was before I become uber flouritoic. Wowza do not do this people. It was sooo incredibly pianful.
Apparently best explanation is that it is Xenobiotics toxins, particularly Obsenogens which causes a person to grow more fat cells then you are born with having. And they are Giagantic fat cells which MAKE you look and feel fluffy. If you have any questions seek medical help please and do not do a 180° diet change. This is proof positive ever mouthful really. REALLY does counts.
HOLY COW so many things immediately changed about me, another astonishing thing is it stopped food sleeps happeing while eating and skin of my whole body has change all over. My shoes and hats are too big, my hair is growing and it appears to be wavy/curly now. Weird dermatology pilar bumps on back of arms "poof" " disappeared and 7 cherry hemangiomas showed up within 7 days and now there are even more. Cellulite drastically is reduced, cracked heals are no more.

I find plain liver too strong a taste, so I freeze pieces of beef liver and then grate a small amount to mix into a large amount of ground beef. (A tip from another Carnevore video). And I happily eat tongue (the best beef cut ever), tripe, heart and kidney. Also eat roast beef, boiled beef (for the tougher cuts), and rib eye steaks. I have a lot of different chicken recipes, mainly raw chicken cut into pieces and fried in ghee or in various flavoured butters I make up (paprikka butter, garlic butter, cilantro butter, curried butter, etc.), and then, of course, there is the best fowl of all - duck. I have read about carnivors who live on only steaks and are happy. Me? I think variety is the spice of life and just enjoy the many different meats and ways to cook them.

I’m feeling regulated in terms of sleep, over all health, have lost 2 sizes and plateaued for a few weeks now. This was something I was easily able to do for the past year including celebrations. I’d like to loose 15 more pounds and enter my 30’s feeling even stronger. After doing a health review with my nutritionists it’s recommended I add more protein, consider increasing my fasting hours and she also gave me information about this carnivore diet she does. She looks great. So, here I am a new subscriber learning. Thanks for all the healthy details.

Based on the spike in the conversation, I have attempted to do a fat fast for a couple of days, because I was slow to get into ketosis just doing carnivore. I have been making an effort to add a bit more fat to my protein and be a little more conscious about having less protein, because that could have been a culprit for spiking blood sugar. However, contrary to expectations, my fasting blood sugar has actually gone up. Especially in the mornings - it's like 115, which is quite high for me. So I tried to do some research and found that, yes, fat can spike your insulin, contrary to everything that is being put out on all the various carnivore channels. While I don't consider insulin to be the only factor in the process, this is researched evidence that is contrary to a fairly consistent party line out there. I'm wondering what your perspective is on this, since I feel like you are one of the few channels who offers a good deal of research and science to your approach, as well aspersonal and client experience. The fat I have been using for the fat fast has been an Irish grass-fed butter. Because I discovered your channel when I was first getting into carnivore, I have always used a mixed meats approach and will eat beef lamb, salmon or trout, other seafood, pork, eggs, and some chicken. It's not that I don't like chicken, but I just haven't used it much in this approach. I would say at this time, I'm probably pork heavy, although in the past I have gone through phases according to craving. It was just that prior to starting on this fat fast, the pork fat tasted the most delicious.

I've been doing carnivore for just over a month. My chronic acid reflux cough is GONE which just shocked me because I've lived with that cough for years. I'm not hungry, I tend to eat 1 1/2 meals a day. The white film I used to get on my tongue is completely gone. I didn't start this way of eating because I necessarily had health issues, I really just wanted to lose weight, 20 lbs. I don't use a scale but I see my body shrinking. I'm still trying to get used to not pooping regularly, to the point it scared me so I take mirilax a few times a week and I drink Calm (magnesium supplement) in the evening, which as a side note it is a fizzy, slight sweet flavor so it helps with needing something 'different' after all the salty meat. Some other things happening though that are amazing to me, I notice exactly when I'm 'full' or need to stop eating. I notice that I can tell immediately when I add something to my food like a seasoning or a vegetable, if it's going to agree with me. I did keto for awhile and I never was this tuned into my body and how it reacts to food. I used to drink a lot, socially, weekends that kind of thing, my craving for alcohol is gone. When I do try and have a Truly on the weekends I usually can't get through two for sure, most times I just skip it and don't miss it. I've never been a soda drinker so that isn't an issue and I was never a regular sweets eater either so giving up sugar is no problem. I do add a drop of stevia in my one cup of morning coffee which I've been mixing with cocoa butter and heavy cream. I eat pork rinds when craving a crunch. I know everyone loves the butter thing but I can't get on board with eating butter by the stick lol. I add it to all my food, I haven't tried it in my coffee yet. I like butter but it's a texture thing I think. But I eat ALL the fat on the meat I eat and I deliberately choose super fatty meat and I love seafood. So for starting out just wanting to lose weight and like many others trying absolutely everything to do it, I'm losing weight but I'm more impressed with how tuned into my body I am, I can't hardly believe it. I can't wait to see where I am in the next few months with this. I guess if I had a question it would be on fermented foods. I love kimchi, I actually make my own, and another person on the subject said if I can tolerate it that fermented foods were the safest with carnivore. I can say even now I don't reach for it much unless I'm craving the flavor. Can anyone talk about fermented foods? I know this was long , sorry lol.

Carnivore is dangerous due to the complete insane lack of dietary fiber for intestinal function and supporting the gut microbiome
couple that with the excessive meat/fat/protein nature and zero fiber its a recipe for imbalancing the gut flora long-term, increasing colorectal cancer risk etc.
The carb restriction only temporarily works to reduce symptoms of yeast overgrowth etc. But does nothing to correct the underlying factors such as low stomach acid, which is the most common cause of GERD and the likes of candida overgrowth.
Dysbiosis is also common and its the prebiotic fibers in the diet which are the primary component for supporting the beneficial gut bacteria.

Have you noticed that as we follow what is recommended we keep getting sicker and sicker? Dr Shawn Baker has hundreds of success stories posted on his website with people that resolved chronic conditions by following this way of eating.
Have you seen the Tufts study that suggests sugary cereals are healthier that eggs and meat? There's an article titled "Are Lucky Charms and Cheerios healthier than beef and eggs?" Do you believe this to be true?

But no the general consensus from the research is that beef and eggs are significantly healthier than sugary refined cereals, which most studies don't even claim to be healthy, they are considered unhealthy processed foods generally compared to the likes of wholegrains.

i'm eating liver for the very reason that it's rich in copper, since muscle meat is rich in zinc. If i eat 2lbs of beef, i get 41mg of sinc. add some eggs and stuff and i might get 50mg. if i'm going for a zinc to copper ratio of the recommended 8:1, i need 6.25mg of copper, which i won't even be close to getting from that 2lbs of beef and eggs, but i'll get it in about 1.5oz beef liver. I understand that we get some copper in our water, but i don't think that's more than 1mg or so. The maximum allowed copper levels in drinking water is 2mg, and i think most places have much lower than that.
i wonder what your thoughts on this are.

And a lot of it. Other animals around our size make several grams of it per day (and much more when they're sick). And gorillas that can't make it get their's from the diet, and they too get several grams of it. I don't think it's optimal to only get

I've recently seen an interview with Elliot Overton, talking about some carnivore clients that would develop scurvy symptoms even after months and months on carnivore.
They still had problems with diarrea, and after megadosing them with 5g of Vit C it disappeared within 1-2 days.
They then slowly weened off the supplement and were fine. I believe over a transition period depending on your previous diet/lifestyle we can have very big individual differences on depleted vitamins/minerals, and for some people a much more drastically approach could be highly beneficial.
What I love most about the carnivore community is that everyone is a n=1 experiment, trying to optimize their health day by day, and listening closely to their bodies signals.
It just isn't enough to not feel bad, but to actually feel amazing, and in the long run, dropping dogmas and RDAs and zeroing in on the personal best health for oneself.

Hey Judy - I'm a faithful follower and carnivore at almost 78. But this isn't about me. I'm feeling a bit panicky for my 11-year-old grandson, who was diagnosed on Christmas Eve-Day with ITP (immune thrombocytopenic purpura). He was treated with IVIG treatments Christmas Day trying to get his blood platelets up to the number 25. They succeeded and sent him home. Now, today at this checkup his numbers were down to 12 - he had another round of IVIG today and is home. His labs "look clear with no indication anything is wrong with his immune system." We are all praying for his healing. I just wonder if anyone outside the medical field would have insights or suggestions. So frightened for him.

Hi Judy, thank you for all you do. I have a question. I've been listening to a cardiologist who is very pro-fasting, eating low carbs, no sugars, no refined foods, and no seed oils. But then he said the following: "There is a growing body of evidence that suggests high dietary protein levels can stop autophagy and stimulate mTOR....which leads to cell proliferation which increases your risk of cancer." He went on to say the evidence was unequivocal. Unfortunately, he did not include any of the studies he was referencing in his talk. I've learned quite a bit from him but now I'm questioning it all because of that statement. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.

    • @TheNaturalHealthBlogger
      @TheNaturalHealthBlogger Год назад

Ketosis is not the reason 99% of these individuals are radically losing weight on this dangerous carnivore fad diet.
They are losing weight simply through the mechanism of caloric restriction.
Many of these individuals are either radically undereating on carnivore, I speak with some who eat as little as 600-1200 calories of meat/animal foods, thats undereating even for a female adult.
You've got males who are 100s of pounds overweight coming from a hypercaloric western junk food diet of 3000-5000+ calories, so of course they radically lose weight doing the above. Not a healthy method to achieve weight loss though following this extreme all meat/animal food no healthy plant nonsense.
Animal foods are some of the most caloric dense foods going so to try formulate an entire diet of these foods is nonsensical, there is a reason high plant intake in studies generally confers to low BMI, weight loss etc.
