The single biggest mistake is not paying attention to your scavenging point and blindly putting it into credits and not SHD calibrations. SHD calibrations are the rarest material in the game until you max out and start another character with shared resources. Comes from experience. Those stats are nice and you should start Crit DMG, armor, skill DMG, accuracy, but nothing matters more than that SHD calibration.
Both crits, then both skill haste/DMG, then hazard, then road & handling. And when you agents are 2000+ SHD levels make a spare agent, or a "SHD mule" It takes two seconds to lvl 30 with the WONY boost, and about 2-3 hrs running through NYC to lvl 40. Once that's done return to DC and spend all those lovely SHD points on materials....😎 I just done it and had over 1000 to spend on optimization of my builds, doing this I have every build (13 across 2 mains) all fully God rolled, all exotics and all named/main weapons. If you're close to SHD 1000, then this is less of an issue because every category will be maxed out, the only thing that annoys me is how tedious it is to allocate points to redeem materials like SHD and Field Recon it takes forever, it's puzzling how they didn't think of having a number box or redeem all button.
mostly for 4 attributes and 4 for each attribute so thats 8, then each points needs 50. all in all, you need 400 shd level to maxed out the attributes.

I didn’t even realise there was a World Tier 5 level up until I met my new friend in the DZ right about the time hit I’d hit the wall at level 30. I’m 95% of the time a solo player who just a few days ago met a brother who came to my rescue in the DZ as I was getting gang-banged over & over again by 3 classless asswipes who found it enjoyable to pummel me & finally kill me every time I came back to see if I could recover any of my loot. I wasn’t very aware of how it all worked & they could hide in rogue mode & wait for me to kill a majority of the NPC’s & then with me with broke-ass armour & health…they would then sweep in & pop me in my keester all while a friend of theirs who wasn’t Rogue was making derogatory comments about what an idiot I was to keep returning to the fight…I think you & I both know who the Real Idiots were in this situation. Ubisoft has screwed the pooch by creating a deliberately flawed set of rules that primarily benefits group play & punishes solo players like myself in the DZ & that’s a wasted opportunity for them & the players are left with a less-than optimal gaming experience. I will persevere & thanks to you & others like you, I’ve just recently begun to watch some videos & now find myself looking forward everyday to the next ones! I focused on one trait each rotation... First round was crit chance/haz pro/skill haste/stability Second round was crit dam/armor/skill dam/accuracy Third was wep dam/explo resist/skill dura/reload spd The last stats to max was headshot/health/skill health/ammo cap
I’m going straight crit chance first because I seemed to find god roll crit damage mods all the time. I’d rather get my character to crit cap and then amend the crit damage thru mods and remaining attribute rolls
Weapon dmg. helps all your builds. Crit dmg is great as long ass you built for crit. I vary from build to build wildly during a play sesh. I actually highly recommend maxing Weapon dmg first if you vary between builds a lot. That being said, if you are going crit, go crit dmg first, crit chance second. Its easy to reach 50-60% CHC on gear. Its tough to go over 120CHD though. ALSO: they don't want us to respec shade points because wed be able to re-get all our SHD/field recon. I noticed this by leveling a second operative. You hit 40, kill keener, and get all your points to spend on your watch. Yes, the whole 1000 if you are already that level on another char on the same account. Which means that you can fill up on mats right away. Heck, its even worth it to level a second character just to get all the resources. Unisoft too lazy to just refund everything but those or have 0 man power left.
Yeah I’m not too sure I agree. I think maxing weapon dmg first is the move. Being able to crit on low base dmg values doesn’t really equate too much. 10% more weapon dmg is going to be much more useful than being able to crit more often with your crits scaling very poorly.
@j2ealish When speaking on the topic of the video I’m coming from the perspective of a player that just hit lvl 40, doesn’t really have the gear to support a crit build, and they just got their watch. You’re talking from the perspective of a geared of crit capped perspective and that’s not really the topic. Always hitting harder with more weapon dmg is always going to be more useful than leaving it up to rng, especially if you don’t really have the gear to reliably crit. It may be more fun to see orange numbers but it’s not efficient. Crits may give a fresh lvl 40 player the placebo of hitting hard but they aren’t.
@j2ealish Also hitting a crit doesn’t “double” your damage. I recommend you check out a few Reddit posts that break this down pretty well. Just google weapon dmg vs chc/chd. I’m not just talking out my ass, I’ve played this game so much and have done so much research.

Again, in the context of the video over the leveling process of the watch it is more efficient to level weapon dmg first or maybe level them together. Adding any small incremental multipliers to any character whether is hsd, chc, chd, base weapon dmg is a dps increase. Like cmon lol. Actually read what I’m saying

Thanks for the tip. Just about to finish lvl 40 and the expansion. Ive been selling and saving the cash from item, scavaging and saving it, breaking some gear and saving that as well. Havent done any mods on gear until I farm a full set after lvl 40 and find 2 good weapons to run and fun with. Already got all points for gunner, working on marksmanship. Saving all shd cash until after expansion.

There’s really no wrong way to do it. As you stated there are tons of ways to add stats from gear..... and don’t ALL those numbers go up if your weapon damage go up? You didn’t necessarily do anything wrong so don’t let ppl talk you into thinking a certain way.
I started by going back and forth between crit chance and weapon damage as you can add crit damage to your weapons through attachments. But I have always been a face tank kind of nerd. Weird note, I have been basically just Shepherding in game as of late and have been getting these crazy purple god roll drops like mad. No good for me but I just found it amusing that they are dropping now.
I've noticed that as well I getting an abundance of purple items that I'm just selling or deconstructing. Sometimes I wonder should I use any of that stuff?
i just saved 4 up for each one before i put them on idk if this was any better lol but finished up my watch like 3 days ago so either way i remember for my next character
This is another thing in the same line of PvE or PvP choice in Survival but not in the DZ. Ubisoft and Massive have this thing like "Oh, yes. I have this feature here in the game but I don't want to give you the same in another part of the game". It is pure tantrum and we have this along the industry, like Apple for instance. They insist in don't make an earpod pro in space grey, despite what consumers asks for, just cause they don't want to. Then come people to say "Oh, what you say is stupid cause the developers intended to make it in that way". That is what I call "the cattle"...
I made this mistake too so your not the only one. I was lucky but not lucky, and what i mean by that is when the infamous ban hammer happened i was able to correct the mistakes i made on the watch since they rolled back the progress lol.
I'm level 350ish as well, and went straight through weapon damage. We can respec our quarter master stats for our signature weapons so it can't be that difficult to implement it to shd level.
Agree that I disagree! Crit is based on base dmg // max Crit chance is 60% (60/100 bullets make X% Dmg) Once you boost your base Dmg you are always hitting harder (and a lot harder if you Crit!)
Because you can get all these points. You aren't locked out from getting all of them and they all help. Once you are 1000 SHD, they are all unlocked. This is not the same as Specializations. It isn't possible to have them all at one time.
I agree they should allow respec of shd points. That said, is added crit chance really that much worse than crit damage? They're kinda 2 sides of the same coin. Unless you're getting crit chance from your team with coyote's mask crit chance seems to me to be an even exchange with crit damage on your gear.
I went hazpro first, crit chance for damage, coz if you run ARs like me you need it. Couldn't care less about skills but I went skill haste so I can get my tier 0 skills back a little faster. All choices should be pretty obvious if you actually understand how the game works. Good that you are putting this out there for newer players, bad that you didn't think about this sooner given that you're a "content creator" who should know better
Lol. I think I've dispelled the myth that content creators don't know as much as people think we do 😂. I'm a skill and Tank player, so DPS has been a new take since I moved to PlayStation and started raiding.
My first character is over 1000,i lvld up my second character and after I got the watch there were 50 points for each upgrade plus, about 495 SHD points in my scavenger. Now I've lvld up gear I've wanted to lvl up.
I put my SHD points as chc (1) then chd (2) then Hd (3) last was Weapons damage that way I had a hard hitting weapon! With low weapon damage that hit really hard!
Why have multiple platform accounts for the same game? 1 platform 4 toons, you will gain watch levels faster. Each toon shares watch levels, so every time you level up you get 4 watch levels. Each toon can do their own projects/challenges, example 30 floors summit can be done with each toon. Double dipping exp.

There really is no mistake considering you unlock everything. Depends on how often your farming for earning these points. So in the long run doesn't really matter just grind to unlock everything.
Yes the grind is a part of the game but it just feels a bit strenuous at times! There are times when I would put in a few hours(few being anywhere from 4-6) and I level up a bunch but only gain a point or two on the watch! I just feel like the point system for the watch should be a bit more rewarding just my opinion.
@@franalexander1913 I don't know what your doing, but if your putting in 4 to 6 hours your not doing something. Not saying you have to be effective but you need to clear some form of content in the game to get XP. And when im just messing around with a friend doing something that will net me some XP I get with your amount of hours like 10 to 15 levels. Maybe more in the 4 hour mark. In sometime around 1 and a half to maybe 2 hours looking at my friend he got 8+ levels in that time.
Think of it like this a weapon with 1% weapon damage with 60% chc, 150% chd and 100% headshot damage! That hits hard at just 1% weapon damage! Per shot!
IMO s soon as you get your first watch you should create other characters and take them straight to WONY and get more watches ASAP as all your points are shared between them all. Later on you are going to need a ridiculous amount of SHD Calibration and Field Recon Data, this game is enough of a grind as it is, you might as well bank those points in other watches. All your toons will share watch level. Just boost another toon to 30 and do the NY expansion. Shouldn't take you longer than half a day. even shorter if you get a clan mate to power level you through it. You can just allocated the points where you want. even if you're crazy like me and level the toon from scratch it shouldn't take longer than a weekend.
Gotta disagree because crit damage is based off weapon damage first? Gotta get that weapon damage up first so 100% of your shots are getting a boost and not just up to 60%. Happy to be proven wrong.
Ur wasting ur second character by not get one character to level 1000. Here's my point. I recently started a second character. My main character is level 1800. So in the slow period of the game, i decided to do a second character. Got my second character to level 40 and finished WONY. Once i did that, my second character was awarded 900 shd points. Half of what my main was. I was able to use those 900 points for scavenging and able to basically optimize all of my gear and weapons. By jumping around between the 2 characters, u lose out on that
I completely disagree with this video. It doesn’t matter what you level up 1st because eventually you will get everything leveled up. If you rely on your SHD watch to do more damage that’s on you and not knowing how to make a good build
Made that mistake 🤣🤣🤣 but I believe the devs did it that way to keep folks locked into playing the game (game hours) great for those who have the time... bad for those who are juggling family, work, other priorities and personal space (game) time
bro.........lol.....from what i know ur shd is permanent...so if u play on pc and ur shd is 600...it doesn't matter how many extra alts u make...once they reach end game their shd will automatically match your overall original character playtime shd lvl be it 1000+ shd or below 500 shd. my tube channel LIF3's A GAM3 demonstrates this how im below shd 1000 yet dominate better than 6000+ shdrs...bottom line shd dosent mean much bro but yeah.....if u play on different platform like from pc to xbox or play station...THEN i could see how ur shd would be totally different. just saying...

I did utility damage first to get more power using drone and turret to help lvl up quicker.

Once you've grind at least one of your avatar to 1000, you can spec your shd skills automatically to each (all) of your other avatars.

Makes no sense that on another character once you get the watch again you get all your main characters points but you can't share the class experience

There are times when I would put in a few hours(few being anywhere from 4-6) and I level up a bunch but only gain a point or two on the watch! I just feel like the point system for the watch should be a bit more rewarding just my opinion.
@@franalexander1913 I don't know what your doing, but if your putting in 4 to 6 hours your not doing something. Not saying you have to be effective but you need to clear some form of content in the game to get XP. And when im just messing around with a friend doing something that will net me some XP I get with your amount of hours like 10 to 15 levels. Maybe more in the 4 hour mark. In sometime around 1 and a half to maybe 2 hours looking at my friend he got 8+ levels in that time.

You can share your SHD with your other characters ! I had 5000 SHD credits and gave 1000 to my second PC character and filled all the cases !
There's no need to because unlike the specialization weapons where your locked in on 3 specific weapon types you get everything in the SHD watch.
Think of it like this a weapon with 1% weapon damage with 60% chc, 150% chd and 100% headshot damage! That hits hard at just 1% weapon damage! Per shot!

IMO s soon as you get your first watch you should create other characters and take them straight to WONY and get more watches ASAP as all your points are shared between them all.
Later on you are going to need a ridiculous amount of SHD Calibration and Field Recon Data, this game is enough of a grind as it is, you might as well bank those points in other watches.

Your shade level is shared with all your characters once you get to 40.
Your crit damage is calculated off your base damage so investing in weapon damage is not a waste.
This game is overly complicated. i really like D2 BUT maaaaaan it is needlessly and overly complicated....with NO in game explanations!

All your toons will share watch level. Just boost another toon to 30 and do the NY expansion. Shouldn't take you longer than half a day. even shorter if you get a clan mate to power level you through it. You can just allocated the points where you want. even if you're crazy like me and level the toon from scratch it shouldn't take longer than a weekend.

Gotta disagree because crit damage is based off weapon damage first? Gotta get that weapon damage up first so 100% of your shots are getting a boost and not just up to 60%.

Ur wasting ur second character by not get one character to level 1000. Here's my point. I recently started a second character. My main character is level 1800. So in the slow period of the game, i decided to do a second character. Got my second character to level 40 and finished WONY. Once i did that, my second character was awarded 900 shd points. Half of what my main was. I was able to use those 900 points for scavenging and able to basically optimize all of my gear and weapons. By jumping around between the 2 characters, u lose out on that
I completely disagree with this video. It doesn’t matter what you level up 1st because eventually you will get everything leveled up. If you rely on your SHD watch to do more damage that’s on you and not knowing how to make a good build
The SHD points lock in to make you farm for more XP.

Open your inventory and bottom right, you'll see a shd watch. Open it up and start throwing the points in there.
Just to let you know headshot damage doesn't need crit chance
Made that mistake 🤣🤣🤣 but I believe the devs did it that way to keep folks locked into playing the game (game hours) great for those who have the time... bad for those who are juggling family, work, other priorities and personal space (game) time
bro.........lol.....from what i know ur shd is permanent...so if u play on pc and ur shd is 600...it doesn't matter how many extra alts u make...once they reach end game their shd will automatically match your overall original character playtime shd lvl be it 1000+ shd or below 500 shd. my tube channel LIF3's A GAM3 demonstrates this how im below shd 1000 yet dominate better than 6000+ shdrs...bottom line shd dosent mean much bro but yeah.....if u play on different platform like from pc to xbox or play station...THEN i could see how ur shd would be totally different. just saying...
