Veteran player since division 1 beta but I still watched this through to the end because roguegold always has the most complete, thorough guides and tips. Appreciate it as always.
Wanted to leave a “thank you” for the time invested in making this video. As a returning Y1 player, a couple of things were not self explanatory when it came to using the recalibration bank. Although I figured some of it out, there was still a huge amount that I wasn’t sure about. Much has changed since I first set foot in DC… and even with my vanilla experience from Division 1, I felt a little lost trying to figure everything out what changed with the Warlords Of New York release and all the changes since then.
My friends and I are all Destiny 2 players and we are enjoying Division a hell of a lot more now opposed to launch. right now we plan on clearing all the raid content and doing as much as we possibly can within the next year. Thanks for the help on how to get here.
i'm playing the game again after a long time so if anyone wanna join my adventure your welcome 🙏🏽 (i'm french so my english is not great haha) (i wrote this message a long time ago and i dont play anymore but i see that some people are talking and playing thanks to this comment. So i will not delete it and let people meet here ! good luck people !)
This is great video and very helpful. Thankfully I found a clan that explained all of this over the last 3 or so months that I’ve been playing this game. I’ll share this video to others as they start playing.
Just started after years of wanting to try it out. The ps5 update to this game allowing you to play a at 60 fps and 4K makes walking through DC an incredible experience at night.
I tried the division 2 when it first came out and there were just so many hackers it was unplayable. Tbh I'm glad it's hyped down. I think it really shines. It's now mixed with new players and players that are vets and love the game for what it is. And tbh, the one thing I recommend from starting is the warlords bundle. It takes you straight to level 30. Gives you a solid gear set, and saves you a lot of time. I will say if you want the story play the first campaign but I figured the games been out so long I'm really just joining to have fun with others at the end game really. It reminds me of replaying destiny 1 when it was towards the end of its life. You can buy the next dlc from the start, get the level boost, unlock the rest of the end game with everyone thats there, and I had soooooo much fun doing it that way. Yes it's a bit confusing, going at level 30 with a overload of stuff, but it's doable and enjoyable.
I’m wrapping up the division 1 soon, after using your guides. I’m going to dive back into div 2 after that and am still using your guides to get caught up, love your guides man
Great Video Gold, I forwarded this to a buddy that just got the game off the Steam sale, I got a few tips I passed along too When It comes to Builds, Roll A Tank Build, There's many Insane Armor builds out there that can also pull off massive damage, Alot builds use yellows & sets that are common from the summit. Grab something that cant die & just melt Challenging. Don't worry about drop/exp rates & Heroic. I recommend is Getting to SHD 1K as fast as possible, Get a build that works, Hit Challenging, The Target farm Public Executions THEN pick up & finish the bounty afterwards, If you do this over & over you will get showered in Gear & Credits. Never Skip a Bounty If you find one. Its sleeper content. Last tip, Don't sleep on "Protection from Elites " Mods, You cant do DPS if you are dead, Dying Wastes time, Your Mods slots should use always have these mods in them. Some may disagree but just trust me on this. Having 35%+ Protection is crazy.
I've played through NY and I'm at Level 40 working on profi iency ratings on PS5. But I have two weeks of travel for family and work and I'm going to play on SteamDeck. So I need to start all over. Thank you for this excellent overview, spot on across the board. Cheers
As always, a fantastic video and extremely well detailed for newcomers! I'm not a newcomer, but still really enjoyed the concise way you have it all laid out in the video! Great work mate!👍
I appreciate how you wrapped up the video in telling people to use the knowledge they just learned in order to figure out what it is they want to achieve or get from the game (as opposed to saying "Do XYZ as it's the most efficient way to progress in the game"). Too many RUclipsrs assume players only want to brind and min-max the game while the truth is so many of us just want to relax, play some video game and have fun.
Seriously thank you for this….been back on for a month now and confused about a few things but you cleared everything up and you did it in a quick but very formal manner
SHD Level 5 here. Just getting back into the game and beating Warlords. This guide has helped me better understand the ins and outs of recalibration as it's very needed in endgame play.
I suddenly got the urge to play the division today while I was at work. Haven't played since 2019 and I never really got into apparently because I only put 45 hours in to 2 versus my 850 in the TD1. Looking forward to seeing what this game has turned into as I boot it up right now. See you in the DZ... in a few days. Gotta grind first.
Awesome vid Rogue! Thanks! Helped a lot. Jumping on as soon as I get off work. Last thing I’ll have to do is find a solid squad. And it’s game on for real!
Thank you so much! I just reached the endgame after buying TD2 on a steam sale and I've referenced this video many times to figure out what I'm supposed to do. This was the only video that was clear and concise with laying out the myriad of stuff in this game.
Hit lvl 11 last night after picking up the DLC including pack off Steam. I played ~100 hours of D1 but my PC at the time wasn't really up to snuff for tD2 at release. It is GREAT! REALLY surprised at the number of players running around. LOTS of 3-4k gs ppl, but stacks of other new players as well. Great vid!
Started playing again after putting in a few hundred hours at launch. This was a good refresher and covered stuff that was released after I stopped playing. It's bloody good to be back, thanks for the video.
@@RogueGold Sure has, great to see how much this game has been supported. I forgot how much I loved it. This is now my go to game to play (when I'm not interupted by my 5 week old son). :D What a time to come back too, Heartland has piqued my interest, I forgot they were doing it.
I’m currently doing a Hardcore character, I’m Speedrunning, all main and side quests. Then moving on to the DLC and gonna beat that. After I’ve done it all on Story Difficulty I’m jumping straight too Heroic and then switching to less Speedrun and more tactical. As a rule, I’m only allowed to use items that are given through completing a quest, and chest items that come with levelling up. I don’t even loot a single backpack for a toy. Once I hit level 40 and beat the DLC I then will try and hopefully survive for as long as I can. This is what I love about the division, the progression and grind is fun (repetitive but what shoot and loot ain’t) and really it’s your decision what you wanna do, and pretty much 95% of the game can be done solo (coop more fun, but many op player builds) and boy is there a lot to do in this game.
Great job Rogue Gold! Even though I play on occasion (do my job) this video was good that it makes me want to play more. Thanks for breaking the video into segments. You're the ONLY one that has explained how to use Crafting, Expertise, Raids, Open World, Control Points and Territory Control, PVP, Global settings. Also, suggestion that players get the WONY expansion and take their time to play the campaign was a good idea. Thanks also for telling players to just enjoy themselves was just one reason that I'm glad to be a Subscriber.
Just wanna throw in a quick tidbit for any new players looking for a smooth campaign experience - focus on gear that has Skill Tier (Yellow Icon) as the core attribute. You can completely ignore brand sets and pretty much everything else honestly because the stats just won't scale enough to matter worth a damn before level 40, especially weapon damage from Red cores. Armor might seem tempting especially if you're not very good at shooters but trust me, Skill Tier is the way to go because it's the only core attribute that has zero variance - just slap on 6 pieces of yellow and let your favorite skills do all the heavy lifting for you. i had no idea what 'skill tier' or any of it meant until after level 40.. when i realized they were for OP drone and turret and the other skills lol. i might roll another character just to run skills from the start... and finish all the story since i left for NY right at 30
Got the game when it first came out but wanted a friend to play with just bought it for my friend who loved the first one and a lot has changed thanks for the
It would be cool if you did a video about the division community. From what I have seen over the years and time that I have played. It is a great community. It is not perfect, but it is one of the better gaming communities.
The video was very helpful, some of the things in division 2 are quite complex or just really hard to find the right info this video covered alot of them thank you
I am completely new to the Division and I don't know how I missed this game series but I am thoroughly enjoying the division 2 and hope to play through the whole story from The Division 1 - Warlords and creat some fun builds [marksman / assault]
Biggest bit of information I can drop is that a decent build is good for all things in the division 2. Further optimizing those builds opens doors to doing some of the more hardcore things in the division AND makes doing the more casual things even easier. So if I recommend anything it's trying to make some builds. Hell the more builds you make the more toys you can play with. And who doesn't like playing with new toys?
I loved D1 so I got D2. Last night I tried D1 after a very long time without playing it, but since I'm so use to D2 I didn't liked D1 anymore. Though the sound of weapons are better in D1.
As a casual yeah…tried raids once (discovery) and oof….really would love to do them for the story and the crafting recipes but between the puzzles and complexity seems easier said then done
Wish I found this video before I started this game about 2 weeks ago, but I'm very experienced in looters shooters but this has helped me a ton because it gets overwhelming learning all the stuff....I'm level 30 at world tier 3 and just taking my time
Good video for new agents ,not sure if there is a clip for new agents but I think new agents doing a raid for the 1st time might need so they understand the mechanics and get EB and rav easy
Thank you for the good content, makes me catch up everything i missed back then. Now roaming around white house with new Hunk outfit >< feels great to play again.
I played the first division game and just got 2 on a steam sale. Great video / guide for new players, definitely more than worth the subscription. Thank you for the amazing guide.
@@machealsmith2617 i bought the game on the current Steam sale too, got the main game + expansion version. So far i'm enjoying the campaign and even if you don't intend to play end-game i think it's still worth it.
Some of these people sound like shills though. Lots of us are like “okay I’ll buy this for 5 bucks.” Then everyone like this RUclipsr first thing they say “buy the expansion” no that’s 30 bucks and defeats the purpose of not spending more than 5 bucks for this game
Thank you Rogue, great video, really well conceived, narrated and edited. I’ve just introduced an old friend to D2, so I’ll be sending this his way with a Sub and Like request.
good to see this games not dead. i thought nobody really played it cause bad reviews. i barley started playing and really like it cant belive i hadnt tried it earlier.
Somehow missed this game even though I'm a huge fan of PvE co-op shooters. Looking at The Division: Heartland but it would be nice to play this before jumping into that one. Thanks for the vid, man!
Nice well detailed video. Been playing since day 1, still not really clued up on the mechanics, though. EG, like what specialisation goes well with certain gearsets/ loadouts
loved division 1, but never tried 2. picked it up for 2.99 on sale (xbox) and have been enjoying it. that said, i worry that endgame content may be impossible since not many people are playing this game anymore. are raids still doable?
Fantastic guide. Spent 150 hours in 2020 and never went back. I want to play but I feel there isn’t anything to play. The only endgame activities I really enjoyed are Stronholds. I’ll still try it again though.
Welcome back, glad you enjoyed! You can check the Apparel Store to see if it's in there, not sure it would show for me if it was given I have it. Alternatively you can check the "Standard" and "Legacy" Apparel Cache reward pools. Otherwise I'm afraid it would be unobtainable
Appreciate the reply so late on finding the video! I did manage to find the items and all are still available so I look forward to rocking this outfit for a while till i get better gear haha
I just came back to Div2 after a 3 year+ break, finished the NY expansion and immediately became overwhelmed by how much there is to do. Thanks for sharing this content, it really helped me out.
Just started playing over the weekend. Have ~20hrs so far playing with a friend. I never played the first game but I’m enjoying division 2 a lot so far. My friend gets motion sickness so can’t play with him for a long time. There so much stuff I get sidetracked a lot 😂
Great Video!!!! I generally get bored with most end-game content (Tiny TIna's W and Outriders, I'm looking at you). However the Division 2 looks like it has a bundle of content to sink my teeth into! Awesome Video, keep up the good work :)
Really confused in Division 2, in the first game the focus was set gear... but it seems you pick golden items now? :O just to get that extra umph or something. I have to say that i enjoyed the first Division more when it came to grinding since it was clear, you had set with some exotics... but now.. its hard man.
High-ends were still viable in Division 1! But yes they gave High-ends extra power in Div 2 via brandings, and Gear Sets aren't quite as strong since they one have one attribute roll. It's fun to have more variety, IMO!
I have been in and out of the game a few times. Always un installed after a few hours but after completing redfall I need something close to it as it's just pointless replaying redfall. It have like 9 exotic wepons lol. So this time I'm going in fall. Thanks for the amazing guide
Great Vid! Can you tell me what are the shd caches in NYC for? Im missing 3 from DC aswell any Idea where I can find them? Or maybe I use the NY ones for my last tech
Awesome videos. Been back to playing more for a few months. Was disappointed to hear lvl 30 library won’t roll into lvl 40. Bummer almost have it completed. Anyway way love your videos and wanted to ask….. do you actually breath when you make those?? 😂 keep up the great work!!
Thank you!! The fast-talking is a trait I have to actively try and withhold lol, I think if you listen to my more recent stuff it's gotten better. But I'm glad it doesn't annoy you as it does some 😄
There's 2 of them at the Base of Operations. One is right underneath the Helicopter landing pad outside, one is inside the White House, to the left in the hallway once you go through the main entrance

Thanks for the video! Sub'd since you're keeping up to date (2023) on the game. Appreciate you!
Thank you so much!! Happy to help 🙌
Yeah I recently just got this game and im really enjoying it...this was a very helpful video as well thank you...Well done my friend 👏 👍 💪🏿 💯
Very happy to help, and so glad you're enjoying! 👊
Thank you for this guide, this is the most informative, easy to follow video I have seen for a long time. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much! Happy to help 🙏
Thank you for the good content, makes me catch up everything i missed back then. Now roaming around white house with new Hunk outfit >< feels great to play again.
Glad it helped! Welcome back!
Classified assignments are in really cool locations and are really fun.
I played the first division game and just got 2 on a steam sale. Great video / guide for new players, definitely more than worth the subscription. Thank you for the amazing guide.
Bro this game is like 5 dollars on steam should I buy it or is it waste of money
@@doughenry4172 right now, the core game + expansion + season pass is at 11,99€ on steam. The game + expansion at 8,99€ iirc
Super glad it helped, thank you for the kind words!
Just started playing recently I’m level 20 and I can believe I slept on this game I’m having a lot of fun thanks for the video/info
Nice! Welcome to the game. Tons of content to dive into, and more on the way in the future 👍
Nice, you're welcome! Lots of exciting stuff ahead for the whole Division franchise 🙌
Nice well detailed video. Been playing since day 1, still not really clued up on the mechanics, though. EG, like what specialisation goes well with certain gearsets/ loadouts
As a returning player to this game, this guide helps out a bunch because I missed out on A TON of content after finishing Warlords😅
Welcome back, happy to have helped!
loved division 1, but never tried 2. picked it up for 2.99 on sale (xbox) and have been enjoying it.
that said, i worry that endgame content may be impossible since not many people are playing this game anymore. are raids still doable?
Pretty much everything can be solo'd except for the Raids, and there are communities that do regular Raid runs
Fantastic guide. Spent 150 hours in 2020 and never went back. I want to play but I feel there isn’t anything to play. The only endgame activities I really enjoyed are Stronholds. I’ll still try it again though.
Hope you enjoy it!
there are many new players either returning or trying for the first time / good timing for this
Thanks. I no longer feel lost and overwhelmed.
🙏 Glad to hear it!
Wow, super helpful guide, thank you!
Happy to hear it!
gotta say i really enjoyed this as a welcome back, outta curiousity tho i do enjoy your fit with the leon jacket. is it all still available?
Welcome back, glad you enjoyed! You can check the Apparel Store to see if it's in there, not sure it would show for me if it was given I have it. Alternatively you can check the "Standard" and "Legacy" Apparel Cache reward pools. Otherwise I'm afraid it would be unobtainable
Appreciate the reply so late on finding the video! I did manage to find the items and all are still available so I look forward to rocking this outfit for a while till i get better gear haha
Dude, this was extremely helpful. Thank you so much.
Happy to hear it!
Just bought the Division 2 and warlords on sale ! Been enjoying the hell out of it so far !
🙌 Love to hear that! Welcome to TD2!
Returning player. This was helpful.
Super happy to hear it! Welcome back!
This Division agent recently returned. I bought Warlords if Nee York but enjoying leaving through base Division 2. Excited for the new Beta coming up.
Welcome back, happy to have you!
I just came back to Div2 after a 3 year+ break, finished the NY expansion and immediately became overwhelmed by how much there is to do. Thanks for sharing this content, it really helped me out.
🙏 You're very welcome, welcome back and I'm glad you're enjoying!
@@RogueGoldbro you are doing me the same it’s been 2 years and idk what to do thanks g
Thanks so much!! Happy to help :)
Watched this and it made me wanna play DIV2 again since October 18th
Just got back into division and this was so helpful. Thank you
Welcome back! Glad it was helpful!
Nice to meet you too kind sir and thank you for the tips. I'll be subscribeing
Thank you so much! Happy to help
This was really helpful for a returning player like me, i havent played in maybe 2-3 years
Welcome back! Happy to help
I haven’t played since March 30, 2019. I loved the first game and barely played the second. I’ve been wanting to get back into it and I think i am!
I believe i did the main campaign and dipped
Welcome back! 🫡
I have been in and out of the game a few times. Always un installed after a few hours but after completing redfall I need something close to it as it's just pointless replaying redfall. It have like 9 exotic wepons lol. So this time I'm going in fall. Thanks for the amazing guide
Happy to help, enjoy!
You get specialisation access when the black tusks invade as I passed that point just before the patch went awry. Useful guide btw. :)
Awesome, thank you!
Congratulations on the big 25k bro! Love the guide and you know I did my newest vid just for you haha PvP gameplay!
Thanks man!! And just checked it out, looking great 🤘
At 11:00 is that an outfit? How did you hide your vest?
Certain clothing items hide your vest 👍 that one is the Leon Jacket!
Great Vid! Can you tell me what are the shd caches in NYC for? Im missing 3 from DC aswell any Idea where I can find them? Or maybe I use the NY ones for my last tech
The SHD caches just provide you with the tokens used to unlock new skills and perks from the Quartermaster 👍
But I'm glad it doesn't annoy you as it does some 😄
Great guide! Does the matchmaking still fill quick in game when looking for teammates?
At least for the endgame, yes!
16:20 where is the Crafting Station ?
There's 2 of them at the Base of Operations. One is right underneath the Helicopter landing pad outside, one is inside the White House, to the left in the hallway once you go through the main entrance
