My friends and I are all Destiny 2 players and we are enjoying Division a hell of a lot more now opposed to launch. right now we plan on clearing all the raid content and doing as much as we possibly can within the next year. Thanks for the help on how to get here.
loved division 1, but never tried 2. picked it up for 2.99 on sale (xbox) and have been enjoying it. that said, i worry that endgame content may be impossible since not many people are playing this game anymore. are raids still doable?
Wanted to leave a “thank you” for the time invested in making this video. As a returning Y1 player, a couple of things were not self explanatory when it came to using the recalibration bank. Although I figured some of it out, there was still a huge amount that I wasn’t sure about. Much has changed since I first set foot in DC… and even with my vanilla experience from Division 1, I felt a little lost trying to figure everything out what changed with the Warlords Of New York release and all the changes since then.

Really confused in Division 2, in the first game the focus was set gear... but it seems you pick golden items now? :O just to get that extra umph or something. I have to say that i enjoyed the first Division more when it came to grinding since it was clear, you had set with some exotics... but now.. its hard man.
High-ends were still viable in Division 1! But yes they gave High-ends extra power in Div 2 via brandings, and Gear Sets aren't quite as strong since they one have one attribute roll. It's fun to have more variety, IMO!
Just started after years of wanting to try it out. The ps5 update to this game allowing you to play a at 60 fps and 4K makes walking through DC an incredible experience at night.
I suddenly got the urge to play the division today while I was at work. Haven't played since 2019 and I never really got into apparently because I only put 45 hours in to 2 versus my 850 in the TD1. Looking forward to seeing what this game has turned into as I boot it up right now. See you in the DZ... in a few days. Gotta grind first.
It would be cool if you did a video about the division community. From what I have seen over the years and time that I have played. It is a great community. It is not perfect, but it is one of the better gaming communities.
I've played through NY and I'm at Level 40 working on profi iency ratings on PS5. But I have two weeks of travel for family and work and I'm going to play on SteamDeck. So I need to start all over. Thank you for this excellent overview, spot on across the board. Cheers
What's good I played over 1000 hours on PS4 when the division 2 first came out ended up stopping cause my PS4 broke just picked up the game again Im up to tier 5 solo but could use help and would be sic to have company I'm playing on Amazon Luna be safe thanks
I tried the division 2 when it first came out and there were just so many hackers it was unplayable. Tbh I'm glad it's hyped down. I think it really shines. It's now mixed with new players and players that are vets and love the game for what it is. And tbh, the one thing I recommend from starting is the warlords bundle. It takes you straight to level 30. Gives you a solid gear set, and saves you a lot of time. I will say if you want the story play the first campaign but I figured the games been out so long I'm really just joining to have fun with others at the end game really. It reminds me of replaying destiny 1 when it was towards the end of its life. You can buy the next dlc from the start, get the level boost, unlock the rest of the end game with everyone thats there, and I had soooooo much fun doing it that way. Yes it's a bit confusing, going at level 30 with a overload of stuff, but it's doable and enjoyable.
I loved D1 so I got D2. Last night I tried D1 after a very long time without playing it, but since I'm so use to D2 I didn't liked D1 anymore. Though the sound of weapons are better in D1.

SHD Level 5 here. Just getting back into the game and beating Warlords. This guide has helped me better understand the ins and outs of recalibration as it's very needed in endgame play.
I need this guide because the crafting system I don’t understand at all and I love the division games I completed the second division but my build I wanna do a smg build but I struggle to make it op

I’m currently doing a Hardcore character, I’m Speedrunning, all main and side quests. Then moving on to the DLC and gonna beat that. After I’ve done it all on Story Difficulty I’m jumping straight too Heroic and then switching to less Speedrun and more tactical. As a rule, I’m only allowed to use items that are given through completing a quest, and chest items that come with levelling up. I don’t even loot a single backpack for a toy. Once I hit level 40 and beat the DLC I then will try and hopefully survive for as long as I can. This is what I love about the division, the progression and grind is fun (repetitive but what shoot and loot ain’t) and really it’s your decision what you wanna do, and pretty much 95% of the game can be done solo (coop more fun, but many op player builds) and boy is there a lot to do in this game.
I'm 61 and after they did a little fixing on Division 2 Im really injoying how they made it Decent to play now the Division 1 its ok but the shooting the enemies 30 to more time and it doesn't affect them .but your agent get one or two times and you he die that a unbalanced cheating games that's not a surviving game I play Resident Evil Call of Duty days gone Last of Us they was a Survivor game but they was balanced you don't have to shoot 300 bullets to kill the enemies just like Recon wildlands its but the same ubisoft and Tom Clancy's people need to stop supporting they kinda games every body wants and challenge but not a cheating challenge
Overwhelmingly complex. I quit 4 yrs ago at endgame, I tried to return a few months ago and was lost. I'd love to come back...just don't know if the headache of figuring out where to start and how to build is worth it
As a casual yeah…tried raids once (discovery) and oof….really would love to do them for the story and the crafting recipes but between the puzzles and complexity seems easier said then done

Hit lvl 11 last night after picking up the DLC including pack off Steam. I played ~100 hours of D1 but my PC at the time wasn't really up to snuff for tD2 at release. It is GREAT! REALLY surprised at the number of players running around. LOTS of 3-4k gs ppl, but stacks of other new players as well. Great vid!
I am completely new to the Division and I don't know how I missed this game series but I am thoroughly enjoying the division 2 and hope to play through the whole story from The Division 1 - Warlords and creat some fun builds [marksman / assault]

Thank you so much! I just reached the endgame after buying TD2 on a steam sale and I've referenced this video many times to figure out what I'm supposed to do. This was the only video that was clear and concise with laying out the myriad of stuff in this game.
Why haven't the devs added a boost to Endgame? To me, this is THE MAIN GAME and new players don't even realize this, as they never get to see it and may drop off before they get there (Hell, you need to play MANYYYY hours to get there....). I think if they added the choice to go straight into endgame WITH a new beginner tutorial, I think a lot more new players would come in.

You select it at the time you make your character, are you sure you didn't accidentally select the WONY option? You can also always go back and make an additional character
Just wanna throw in a quick tidbit for any new players looking for a smooth campaign experience - focus on gear that has Skill Tier (Yellow Icon) as the core attribute. You can completely ignore brand sets and pretty much everything else honestly because the stats just won't scale enough to matter worth a damn before level 40, especially weapon damage from Red cores. Armor might seem tempting especially if you're not very good at shooters but trust me, Skill Tier is the way to go because it's the only core attribute that has zero variance - just slap on 6 pieces of yellow and let your favorite skills do all the heavy lifting for you. It's also a tonne of fun and a great way to get a feel for what abilities you like to play with most.
i had no idea what 'skill tier' or any of it meant until after level 40.. when i realized they were for OP drone and turret and the other skills lol. i might roll another character just to run skills from the start... and finish all the story since i left for NY right at 30
Started playing again after putting in a few hundred hours at launch. This was a good refresher and covered stuff that was released after I stopped playing. It's bloody good to be back, thanks for the video.

Just finished the main story and hit level 40 last night rn i was listening to this while playing because i was a bit confused on the endgame anyway i opened an exotic cache and got the MEMENTO backpack like is that normal or did i just get lucky? 😅either way super happy it just looks great
Welcome to the Endgame! And congrats! The Memento is easily one of the best Exotic armor pieces available, especially for solo play. All Exotics in that cache pool have an equal drop chance, but you certainly got lucky to get the one that you did!

Hey Just started so should i Focus on builds in the early/mid Game or Just equipt what has Higher Armor Rating and do builds later If im in the dlc Same Whit the weapon Just equipt Whit the Higher DMG/Level? Sry If its dumb question
Not dumb at all! Welcome to the game. You can certainly try to make a few setups with the gear you have just to get an idea of things, but largely I'd say just go for what has the highest stats. You progress through levels quick enough that you don't want to waste time investing into a setup that will just be invalidated soon after.
I just logged back in to my launch world tier 5 character and I have SHD mods for my skills and I don't have them equipped but I can't remember what the deal with SHD mods were. Are there drawbacks or something to using them?
I have a ps4, and I was looking for free to download and play games then I saw this!?! I was like what?!? is this game free? or am I trippin! I click the download and saw the 115gigabite then I knew it was free! I still can't believe this game is free!? The last game of Tom Clancy I played was splinter cell black list, so I'm excited to try this one and hope it's not complicated
Once you unlock and play Tidal Basin, that's the last unlockable story beat. If you want to play Zoo, Camp White Oak, Pentagon and Coney Island missions, that's all of the story before WONY DLC

World Tiers 1-5 do take you through additional story and fully complete DC's unlocks of the map + mission types, so if you're already that far along I'd say it doesn't hurt to finish out the World Tiers before moving on

Pretty much everything can be solo'd except for the Raids, and there are communities that do regular Raid runs

I recommend buying any add ons if you like cosmetics and will enjoy a good looter shooter. Makes it worth while in the long run.

The world difficulty selector you're referring to is for the endgame only, during the campaign you're locked to Story difficulty I'm afraid

Hit lvl 11 last night after picking up the DLC including pack off Steam. I played ~100 hours of D1 but my PC at the time wasn't really up to snuff for tD2 at release.
It is GREAT! REALLY surprised at the number of players running around. LOTS of 3-4k gs ppl, but stacks of other new players as well.

I am completely new to the Division and I don't know how I missed this game series but I am thoroughly enjoying the division 2 and hope to play through the whole story from The Division 1 - Warlords and creat some fun builds [marksman / assault]

Why haven't the devs added a boost to Endgame? To me, this is THE MAIN GAME and new players don't even realize this, as they never get to see it and may drop off before they get there (Hell, you need to play MANYYYY hours to get there....). I think if they added the choice to go straight into endgame WITH a new beginner tutorial, I think a lot more new players would come in.

The SHD caches just provide you with the tokens used to unlock new skills and perks from the Quartermaster 👍

Yea I’m a returning player played since day one so I’m up to par Xbox if anyone wants to play
Thing about skipping straight to level 30 it says you don’t earn trophies on that character that uses it
This guide is excellent for some reason my character in the game started at level 30 even though I didn't choose the skip to level 30 option🤔🤔🤔
You select it at the time you make your character, are you sure you didn't accidentally select the WONY option? You can also always go back and make an additional character

Just wanna throw in a quick tidbit for any new players looking for a smooth campaign experience - focus on gear that has Skill Tier (Yellow Icon) as the core attribute.
You can completely ignore brand sets and pretty much everything else honestly because the stats just won't scale enough to matter worth a damn before level 40, especially weapon damage from Red cores.
Armor might seem tempting especially if you're not very good at shooters but trust me, Skill Tier is the way to go because it's
the only core attribute that has zero variance - just slap on 6 pieces of yellow and let your favorite skills do all the heavy lifting for you.
It's also a tonne of fun and a great way to get a feel for what abilities you like to play with most.
i had no idea what 'skill tier' or any of it meant until after level 40..
when i realized they were for OP drone and turret and the other skills lol. i might roll another character just to run skills from the start... and finish all the story since i left for NY right at 30

As a xbox player, can I play solo or playing with friends is mandatory, also, is it online only, do I need a Xbox live gold subscription?
You can definitely play solo 👍 you can play without Xbox Live, but will be unable to do any matchmaking or multiplayer content
Just finished the main story and hit level 40 last night rn i was listening to this while playing because i was a bit confused on the endgame anyway i opened an exotic cache and got the MEMENTO backpack like is that normal or did i just get lucky? 😅either way super happy it just looks great
Welcome to the Endgame! And congrats! The Memento is easily one of the best Exotic armor pieces available, especially for solo play. All Exotics in that cache pool have an equal drop chance, but you certainly got lucky to get the one that you did!
Ty very much, helped a lot . But I have 1 question about skill points , do I need to manage skill/points somehow or would I unlock them all at the end anyway? I am just lvl 19 and so far I've just clicked something 😂 . If so , is a reset possible?

Hey Just started so should i Focus on builds in the early/mid Game or Just equipt what has Higher Armor Rating and do builds later If im in the dlc Same Whit the weapon Just equipt Whit the Higher DMG/Level? Sry If its dumb question
Not dumb at all! Welcome to the game. You can certainly try to make a few setups with the gear you have just to get an idea of things, but largely I'd say just go for what has the highest stats. You progress through levels quick enough that you don't want to waste time investing into a setup that will just be invalidated soon after.

I just logged back in to my launch world tier 5 character and I have SHD mods for my skills and I don't have them equipped but I can't remember what the deal with SHD mods were. Are there drawbacks or something to using them?
They removed all mod drawbacks back in Year 1, only benefits by using them 👍

I just played this game and currently on world T4 right now. Should I proceed with T5 or just skip to the DLC?
Once you unlock and play Tidal Basin, that's the last unlockable story beat. If you want to play Zoo, Camp White Oak, Pentagon and Coney Island missions, that's all of the story before WONY DLC

As someone who just started playing I just started world tier 1 after beating the campaign once. Should I just go straight to warlords of New York?
World Tiers 1-5 do take you through additional story and fully complete DC's unlocks of the map + mission types, so if you're already that far along I'd say it doesn't hurt to finish out the World Tiers before moving on
