Totally agree! Amazing video. Instant sub. Very confusing watching beginner videos where they are talking builds etc then I have no idea what to keep etc etc... this was excellent Thank you!!!
Great tip for people that don’t own the DLC ‘Warlords of New York’ yet. Favorite it in the online store of your platform, it will be discounted regularly and you will be notified about it. Did the same two weeks ago and grabbed it for €11. Stopped playing in 2019 and since January im jumping back in with a complete new play through 🤗 its great fun!
Another thing I've found that I don't think he touched on, is what to do with your outdated gear.. I like to stash several of each armor type before using the rest for an even amount dismantling and selling.. the reason for this is that some projects (side missions for settlements) require you to give gear to the control point officer to advance and it's nice if you already have them
THANK YOU!!!! This is all i want, a comprehensive guide playlist of every aspect of the game! I wanna jump in the game now, but have 0 experience, so i love that i got a path laid in front of me!
Thank you for the in depth explanation, I found the level 30-40 details to be helpful as a newer player. I wanted to go through the game roughly in the order that things originally came out in timeline wise, yet there are so many things popping up its hard what goes where.
This has been the most helpful beginner's guide thus far. Even so, I still feel a bit lost as I'm beginning my progression in World Tier 1 but I genuinely appreciate your attention to detail on the basics, confirming some of the things I THOUGHT I knew but still wasn't 100% sure about!
Great Video - Thank you! I've been waiting for a brand new up to date beginners guide to get going again in the division after a long hiatus.... Looking forward to the rest of the series!
As I got Div2 during the last Steam winter sale I did precisely what you recommended here, with one small exception: After finishing Tidal Basin and reaching World Tier 5 I did the 2 Coney Island missions first and then went to New York (where I still am atm). I'll watch the Endgame part of the 2024 beginners guide after reaching max level to see what to do as a Solo player. As my group experiences during the leveling phase haven't been that positive and I don't like PvP the choices will probably be limited 🤷♂
For group play it does take time to find the people who are on the same time and are the same minded people. Being grouped up gives better drop even on story missions even better when with heroic with directives.
Great video, sent to afew friends that have just started in division 2. Quick question I have though for myself, I go away in March for a month so can I complete the new manhunt when I return??I know I will miss out on leagues ect but still not sure about manhunt targets as I’ve yet to miss one 😂
Thank you! The answer is yes, the manhunts appear the same as the other activities but are a consistent throughout the season. So in theory you could sign in on the last day of the season and complete the whole manhunt from start to finish.
James and I’ve been back to start a new character. I did. I deleted everything and started over but I didn’t have to. I had like three characters I deleted.
Specializations aren't just level 30, you also need world tier 1 if anyone is confused like I was. "Specialisations offer a unique spin on The Division 2 gameplay and are available once you reach level 30 and World Tier 1"
I have just recently bought the season pass for Y5 S2 and I can’t seem to start the manhunt story missions at all. I keep going in the manhunt Icon but all it keeps saying for all the civilians is missing intel. Why can’t I start the season?
I’ve done the checkpoints, but it still says missing Intel. I can’t find anything to help complete the first missing person. I haven’t even had an intro for the new season.
none of that is what's shown, I got to 40 and "manhunt" popped up, I went to the place it said and there was nothing there and no progress gained. the helicopter still says "boost to 30" but I'm 40... 💀 I don't understand what's up.
if you want to know the details about "nothing there, no progress gained bcs i didn't want to write huge comment, I went to "echo" trial which was judicial square, cinder block checkpoint. finished it like usual, and nothing happened.
I need help!? So I played The Division 1 years ago, loved it. Wanted to play The Division 2 for awhile and I saw it was on offer on the Xbox Store.... With the Warlords of NY expansion... So I booted up the game, started me in NY so I thought cool, wanted to go to DC but it wouldn't let me travel their until I beat the campaign (level 40) so after a few hours I beat Keener finally. So I could finally go to DC, I expected a grand opening but it loaded me in the white house... All safe houses and map already unlocked? And I have no idea of where or what the hell I'm meant to do? Is it projects or manhunt I'm meant to complete? The menu system is abit of a joke. So yeah sorry for the long message. But now I'm in DC with no clue of what to do? I don't mind deleting my save and reinstall if that's what needed...? Thanks!!
You don’t have to delete if you don’t want. You probably picked the boost option when you started. Like shown at 2:10 You can just make a new character and choose to play from the beginning. Which I would definitely recommend for 1st time players. There’s so much content in the base game to explore.
I deconstruct everything but I also don't bother re-rolling any gear or anything. If you are going to roll talents or change attributes as you level up some cash will be needed too. I don't think its needed though, just deconstruct everything and put your highest level things on. In endgame one game of Countdown will earn you more than your entire playthrough to endgame 👍
I'm a returning player. Started a new character and run through the game. I've just finished my run through. My question is, do I need to do world teirs or can I go straight to New York and purchase the DLC for this?
@gavinsylvester3527 yeah, I went straight to WONY (New York) good decision I feel now but I reckon either or is good. I had a long time away from the game, came back and just wanted to do all the fun things (raids, incursion) so fired through WONY and got to it.
I just returned to the game, I'm at level 30 and I don't have the New York expansion, I want to buy it. But since I know what world level I am, I don't know if I'm at level 5 or not. Has he been removed from the game? I have 4 main missions left to finish. Is that it? what I have left
The higher character level the better XP given when the side missions are done at. So level 40 gives more XP than at level 30. Then you also can do heroic with directives for even more XP given.
@@dw4897 Yep i have done that, got a striker build together and today i just completed my first legendary mission, meh dropped rewards but nice exotic from the crate
Hey there. Just got back to level 31 with a new character and was wondering if I can jump back-and-forth from New York to DC now that they have removed world tears? Or am I still stuck in New York for a little while if I go now? Thank you in advance, just didn’t wanna leave a buddy behind
I bought this game about 4 years ago when it was $0.99 on Xbox store. Never really messed with it until now. Due to not having money for a Xbox S and no games I care about coming out on X1 , I'm revisiting games in my library that I've ignored. Just finished Dragon Age Inquisition (enjoyed it alot) and now I'm trying to figure out D2. Thanks for the video, every other video I found required a beginner guide to understand their beginner's guide.

Yooo great vid man! I just heard about this game the other day and it seems fun but really complicated if youre a beginner. This definitely helps!!
Thanks for watching. Glad it helps!
