@@markw9512Agreed. He had plenty of chances to make a move/notify the GT4 driver he wanted to pass, and even passed on an opportunity. Personally I also like chasing other fast drivers who can drive well
@@markw9512 That was my impression, too. The GT4 offered to move right a few times and looked like he expected the Vette to pass, but the Z driver seemed reluctant to stick his nose in there. I think it was because he was happy doing the chasing or because they were so evenly matched he didn't feel like he had time enough to make a complete pass before the next corner or back marker(s) and he didn't want to be caught two or three wide.
Great stuff. He expected you to pass a couple times but a better video leaving him in front. You had a HP advantage that was clear uphill and after slowing for traffic. Your car is set up perfectly. The understeer is perfect and easy to use. ( I used to drive a Vette and now I have a Cayman) 😊
I never really comment on TF onboards, but I would like to tell you that I think your driving style is absolutely great. Smooth steering (many “show” drivers wave the steering wheel around too much) and anticipatory driving. For me, these are the real driving skills.
Very fun to watch. Never seen a C6 z06 pushed like this. Very cool to see its potential. I once had an EVO IX and used to smoke the Z06 in our club (stock vs stock). But that guy had 1/100th the skill of you. If he had driven the car right, I'm sure I would have been completely destroyed. Nice job!
Incredible. During the video I kept on thinking about the movie JAWS... the shark destroying the back of the boat ORCA. There was no way the GT4 could withstand the challenge from this driver....and that absolute monster 427
Don't know how hard the Porsche guy was pushing his car but obviously you Could have gone around him anytime you wanted to you were just playing with him
We’ve seen so many runs of this z06 on a bunch of channels. Let me ask you what other drivetrain could survive this beating that this car has taken. AND its over a decade old. Only a pushrod V8 and a Tremec with GMs rear differential can survive this beating. The brakes lines will catch fire before this thing gets taken out of commission.
The man in front always seems to struggle setting pace. I hate it for him. Unless you're Schumacher eating a Big Mac and sipping a Big Gulp driving with your knee. Then you're gone...
@@devinrice2059 This isn’t my car. 🙂 but another poster in the thread said it had about 100 hp overstock, I asked a question just now of the OP to see if this is correct
Poor lines from the porsche driver, extremely poor, like a school driver and still was a bit faster in some corners. The 100 hp difference was evident. Nice driving from the vette driver, what tyres was he on?
Very impressive driving skills. Much respect.. Thanks for posting.
Thanks, appreciate it 🏁🇺🇸🇩🇪
I agree you are high level
You are a very good Driver 👍 And your American Corvette is building for the Green Hell 💪

Once again awesome driving, but wow that GT4 driver was just as awesome! Yes more of this please
I felt like the Gt4 driver should have been blacked flagged multiple times for not moving over.
@@bri-manhunter2654 It's a Porsche driver. They don't move over for anybody.
@@newbiemike The Z06 driver didn’t want to pass, he was having fun

Nice ride along. Glad you didn't pass on the couple of times you had space. Made for a great video.

This car destroyed the 'American V8's can't corner' narrative for me😂.

He was pushing him in a friendly way.

Wow that white VW really didn't want you two passing
The Corvette obviously has no problem reeling the go kart in.
What a fun video!
man you got that carousel down!
The gt4 seems to be very light on its feet.
Maybe 100-200lbs less than the c6
@@TheG60528XiJinPing unless the gt4 has any weight reduction, the z06 is the lighter car by 100-200lbs
What’s the shifter set up in the car?
What a soundtrack
Best soundtrack ever.
Im just upset the algorithm sends it to me now but happy it exists 😊
haha! :)
I would love to do that, looks like fun.
Will you share the car spec
Great video awesome,is it an off the shelf vette or is it modified?😊
It's modified slightly. Makes about 100 more horsepower than stock at around 600.
That was fun‼️👍✌️☮️
Suspension set up?
OP, are there any performance mods to this vehicle other than the shifter?
"We declare the Porsche the winner of this comparison due to it's more refined road manners."

Well done 👍
here for the v8 manual
Several times the Vette could have passed the Porsche easily .
What is this speed dial ?
LS7
stock?
Corvette is so impressive and at a fraction of the cost of an overpriced Porsche!
Porsche is seems faster in the corners and clearing traffic both great cars. Dont think they are racing each other so who knows.

I know the tires on this thing are huge
I think GT4 has more horsepower but you in the Vette more torque. GT4 was missing the apex a lot. Corvette was hitting it.
C6 Z06 stock has ~100 more hp than GT4, this one is modded.
@@markw9512 , what engine mods did you do to get the track performance you have... I have a 08 Z and what the same kind of performance
