austin dean he's a pro. He drives for the Corvette Racing team in the #3 car with Antonio Garcia. Great driver and he's been doing this for over a decade
I've watched every nurburgring video and this is by far this is my favorite. Getting back on the gas as soon as possible is the key to fast racing and nobody does it better than Jan. That's what being in F1 is all about
Just imagine having a great ride like this -- living near Nurburgring where you can have a good old adrenaline rush anytime you want. I know the great feeling I get after a good old back road bashing in my RX7. I can't imagine how fun this would be! Nice driving!!
Excellent driving, excellent car... oh man the ZR1 is such a TRUE race car, impressive to see in any driving situations. lmao @ the bikes that got passed so fast and so easily :)
Those fast uphill crests where the car looks almost airborne must be absolutely terrifying as a passenger. Watching Jan @ Daytona 24 as I type this. World class driver. :) cheers.
I feel so proud to have owned one! Even though I never drove it quite that hard, I did use it to test my nerves (since I am not a professional driver) and it would always remind me that I was not. I sold it for what I paid for it to the leader of the Blue Angels and he loves it! I do miss it but I also know I will remain amongst the living a little longer not having it. I say that cause I know I am stupid enough to get myself into very serious trouble quickly!
JM is a mad man. I saw him spin a Porsche GT3 into the wall years ago at Laguna Seca while fighting for position on the last lap. GM should him drive the new C8 Z06 at the Nurburgring for a hot lap to see what it can do .
Plus he did it with a passenger, ac, stereo, video console basically all the comforts of life. Not a stripped down car with a pit crew tuning the car. This is right off the showroom floor to the track with video proof that it is King.
I put it up on the 42" LCD in HD with the 5.1 Surround Sound on and watched it. Over and over and over. What an awesome run. Seems like the video is sped up, but its not. The only negative is the rear-view mirror blocking the horizon. Other than that, awesome.
Incredible driving skills! I've seen too many people who can afford the car but only think they have the driving skills only to crash and destroy a nice car or worse!
The steering wheel is slightly wrong, probably a development car, but with nav you have the bluetooth control things on the left side. Only on a 1ZR would you have nothing on the left side. I can't unsee this lol. And the dash faceplate is not popped in all the way. Mine was the same, just gotta orient it correct.
going full throttle specially on a fast car that give you even faster trap speed is scary. it takes only slip, or slowing down too late that will cause you a crash. adrenaline from start to finish must be a wild fun ride
INSANELY TALENTED DRIVING. I appreciate this video, even though that rear view mirror was just killing our view. Woulda been nice to have some on-screen telemetry too. But what gets me, is why the hell can't you give us the lap time in the description box, as well as details about the car? WE HAVE NO INFORMATION TO GO OFF OF.
+Niderfyn I already know all about that friend, I'm a 54 year old man with common sense. No disrespect meant, but what I mean is, and what I SHOULD'VE elaborated, was the fact the camera is mounted TOO HIGH. There is another video of another fantastic driver, driving a Vette to do a lap time at "the 'Ring" of 7:14. I can't think of the name of the video, but I just watched it the other day. The camera is basically the same view as this video, only that camera is MOUNTED LOWER..........so the rear view mirror isn't blocking as much of the view in the video. You can see that mirror in the video I'm speaking of, is much closer to the top of the screen. THAT VIDEO IS AMAZING!!! And it gives you, the viewer, the sensation that your squashed in between the seats going along for the ride. I was on the edge of my seat watching, lol. And in the comments under that video, that driver said that STOCK Corvette he was testing, was actually handling rather poorly & he had lapped much better times in Vettes that were set up much better. Amazing. I know, there are cars & drivers who have record laps not much over 6 minutes at the "Ring".......but the rather stock Corvettes are flat out capable cars for performance & considering their low cost.
Now that’s a genuine race car - the brakes, suspension, gearbox, engine all handled that punishment without an issue by that amazing driver!
Holy hell, this guy is a good driver.
I can inform you that this man is the most winning driver in Danish racing history.
austin dean he's a pro. He drives for the Corvette Racing team in the #3 car with Antonio Garcia. Great driver and he's been doing this for over a decade
This ride is frightening on tape. Can't imagine what a white-knuckle ride that must have been in the car. This car is a beast.
I would be scared for sure! The passenger in the end of the video says he needs to go visit a chiropractor, because his neck is messed up :D
I just drove this in a porsche on GT7 today and I was scared. Your point is well taken
You have to appreciate how this thing sounds.
With that symphony of 8, who needs a radio? Awesome sound with a awesome car.
That rev matching is music to the ears.
4:47 I love when Jan points at the MC and laughts xD
Corvette Is a monster best sounding v8 of all the times

Nice driving!!
tscooter22 If i wanted to drive the entire track i'd chose a RX7.

You, dear sir, deserve respect. That were some awesome driving-skills you showed there!
Superb driving from Magnussen
One of the best nurburgring laps on RUclips imho...
Now that's how you driver a corvette!! Wow I love hearing all those rpms every gear he uses especially when he downshifts!
fascinating engine, marvelous sound...
So sad the ZR1 is out of production.
I own one.
Actually i prefer this than the new Stingray... (y)
Taufik Pasha everybody does
Ricardo Candeias
yeehaaaww
no its not they still make the just not like the 2009 ZR1
I would shit my pants driving with this guy ! Fantastic driver
Plus he did it with a passenger, ac, stereo, video console basically all the comforts of life. Not a stripped down car with a pit crew tuning the car. This is right off the showroom floor to the track with video proof that it is King.
literally on the edge of losing traction most of the time. this is insane!
This magnificent performance by the driver, the power of this car is mindblowing, even the heater was on lmao
This is my favorite video on the internet
respect my friend ur a great driver, its not easy to control these pawerfull machines specially in turns
Hella good driving,my man!
This is just like being late for work and dodging the potholes in Colorado Springs ! Brutal!!
I listen on car speakers on my commute and dream
Mega Terra there is a video of a z06 c6 at the nurb that sounds even better
I listen to the zo6 one when driving
One of many greatest video I've seen on RUclips 😲😍😍
One of the best pieces of driving I have ever witnessed
Awesome driving man :-)
This dude is literally driving on the ragged edge pushing the car to it's limits. Wow..
Full credit on the driving and of course his confidence in the machinary, and probably further credit to the passenger who remains quiet.
I could only dream what it would be like to be in a Corvette with Jan at the Nord, man that would be a surreal moment.
W O O O W . Spectacular! Incredible! I forgot breathing whil watching this vid. Love it!
Dude you took that thing to the LIMITS 😂
If you translate the engine sound, it’s telling the other vehicles to “GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!!”
This never gets old
Great driving and car. Congratulations
i'm really not faint-hearted but... i think i would've shat myself XD
Nice, ballsy driving style. Congratz.
Отличный гонщик, принес много побед и ярчайших моментов! Corvette Racing forever!!!
Skilled driver!
Bloody hell. Anything under 7:30 minutes around the green hell is pretty gnarly and apparently he did just that .
Very good drive sir, especially in that car, it's amazing but definitely needs a good driver to get the performance out of it. A real driver's car
amazing driving!
thanks for the HD version!
I put it up on the 42" LCD in HD with the 5.1 Surround Sound on and watched it.
Over and over and over.

Other than that, awesome.
This guy drives beast.
Only complaint is the damn rear view mirror in the way. Jan can sure drive a vette.
this guys driving skill is no joke
What a vid, thank you much sir.... wonder what was said at end of vid
Hardcore power management.
verry verry good driver nice car
That's a good old school driving!
This video made me immediately buy a ZR1 and take it on the Nordschleife… in Gran Turismo 7.
4:47 that point and laugh xD HA! - But honestly, this defines driving with brutality and fluidity. Incredible confidence and precision!
amazing. The motorcycles looks likes flyes
These video games are getting more and more realistic!
Gosh I love this car!
Older video but it never gets old 🤘🏼ZR1 Madness
They didn't breathe for 7mins. Can the Vette do that all day? Thanks for the video !! Awesome
top10 video on youtube
Amazing driving.

very very good! Perfect!
To drive a ZR1 like that you need to have some balls :) Nice :)
I came across this video, thinking "shit, this dude can DRIVE!" then I saw who was driving. I was leaning in my computer chair.
going full throttle specially on a fast car that give you even faster trap speed is scary. it takes only slip, or slowing down too late that will cause you a crash. adrenaline from start to finish must be a wild fun ride
if Frankenstein was alive today, this is the car he would be driving
i shit myself just watching this
That's impressive driving
The American BEAST !!!! LOVE IT !!!
Hell of a driver
The car says when ABS activates, that's kinda cool
What happened @ 5:25 just entering the Karussell Corner? Camera mount failure?
For someone who's only driven automatics, it looks terrifying to take a hand off the wheel under these conditions.

nice driver
First clip ... No Lift Shift ! Nurburgring, id love to know what his time was, he looked fast.
I WANT A CORVETTE SO BAD!!!!
I hope Misha watched this to see what a 10/10ths ZR1 lap looks like.
Why the cut during the first carousel?
Spectacular!
Liked and favorited.
That was intense
Excactly the way i drive the c5 in Gran Turismo 4 :-)
the rearview mirror kind of ruins it
that boy can drive
SÅDAN MAGNUSSEN
4:45 hahaha.
I think this biker was rly shoked XD
fantastic
time lap?
That's a lot of corner names to remember
Then try to learn all the breaking points and the apex's of the corners, in different conditions in weather, tires, cars, traffic/speed and so on.. ;)
Was that faster than the factory driver in later years?
who dislikes this? this is incredible
It can also veer? : D
excellent!
