Audi rolls in; ambiance, piano music, the occasional string accompaniment. Corvette shows up; ROCK N' ROLL, TIGER ROARS, TIRES SQUEALING, AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The Corvette ZR1 is one of the most sophisticated cars on the planet. The day it was tested on top gear, the magnetorehological suspension had electrical issues, so that was the reason for its wobbly handling. It also did not have the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. If the suspension was fixed and the car had those tires, it would have been the 'fastest car around the track', says Ben Collins (The Stig) in his book 'The Man in the White Suit'.
Add to the fact that he drove it with the PTM turned off, because had he set the car in Race mode it would have controlled all that tire spin out of the corners. A good driver that knows the ZR1 would slaughter the Audi around the track.
***** LS motors in the vette are known for their reliability whereas audi is notorious for reliability issues (as far as little things go, not sure about the v10). Not really disagreeing with you - I would pick the audi... But corvettes last for years and are perfect for boosting/building monsters cheaply.
***** To each his own. I've never been a huge fan of the R8's styling. I actually prefer the brutish platform of the ZR1 and would take it everyday all day over the Audi. Make all the excuses you want, the numbers don't lie. The ZR1 runs circles around the R8.
Seriously, this is one of my favorite videos ever. I'm usually a German car guy, and I own an Audi, but man, there is just something so intoxicting about Corvettes. Someday, I will be putting one in my garage!
I have owned 14 Corvettes. Ran them all hard, never put a scratch on one. Get one. They are fun. Just don't get yourself killed. Leave the traction control on !!!!!!!!!!!
well, yes, the zr1 is undoubtly faster, but the r8 is just easier on you, and you will thank that if you use it outside a racetrack. If you are an experienced driver that will use another car to get to work anyway, then the corvette is a better choice, but if you don't want to die the r8 might just be a bit of a good deal. btw, wtf am I talking about, I can't afford either of these :(

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to drive a ZR1, and it was nothing short of incredible. The thrust that the LS9 makes literally causes the muscles on face to strain, and makes your vision fixed. But whats maybe even more impressive, is how unbelievably easy it is to drive. Im not a novice at manual transmissions, but at the same time i'm not a seasoned pro. I never stalled the car once, in the three of four times that i drove it. Its very easy to shift, the clutch is pretty light. Its not scary at all during "normal driving" but just feels like its waiting for you to stab the gas so it can pounce. The feeling of torque is always there. Really amazing sounding when you put your foot down and the valves open up too. The new C7's are cool, but i prefer the styling on this C6 ZR1 over that. If you ever have the CHANCE to drive a C6 ZR1.... DO IT! One of the best cars i've ever driven. Saying that, Ive driven a Mclaren 650S, Mclaren MP4-12C, Every Aston Martin except the One-77,Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari F430,Porsche 911 Turbo S, Porsche Carrera 4S, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mclaren P1 (VERY VERY BRIEFLY AT LOW SPEED),Audi R8 V10. The ZR1 may be cheaper then alot of the higher end cars i've been lucky enough to drive, but the performance of the ZR1 is mind blowing, and I LOVE the feel the car has. I feel like they will definitely go up in value in the future.
Wait, so the racing history of Audi being so good at IMSA with the engine they lifted out of the Sport Quattro S1 is not as good as Chevy racing history?
*Oversteers around corners in the R8 talking about how good the handling is; oversteers the ZR1 around corners complaining about the Corvette's handling.
Clarkson HATES American cars with a passion, also electric cars, good think the Corvette isn't an electric American car. Kind of surprised he actually kind of liked it without really admitting it.
***** I managed to drive an older R8 (the one with the S-tronic and 4.2 V8) on a wet day and I couldn't really get the thing to oversteer. It did however understeer, but other than the bad S-tronic transmission and the wet track the car was pretty good. The Corvette was not available at my local track so I did not get a chance to drive it :( Any of these high-performance machines can oversteer with the throttle pinned, it's just that sometimes it irks me when people forget Top Gear is an entertainment show.
@Cole Bergeron: Exactly. I noticed that he didn't mention how messy driving the flats can be. Look up "Can I Trust a Car Review?" by John Cadogan (it's here on RUclips), and you will see the real truth behind automotive journos.
Andrew Ross Yeah.Corvette is my dream car and i'm saving some money for the ZR1 cuz it's much more fun and has a better sound than the R8.Also i don't remember but i think that the R8 is more expensive than the vette.
compared to this video, Jeremys outlook when he had a ZR1 in the USA road trip episode was alot more positive, just complete utter praise, quote "a masterpiece"
+Mr_Pooba And he was only joking anyway. Its always fun to be daring he is alluding to, and the ZR Plastic toy of doom is built like utter crap to fit that dare perfectly! Like trolly riding down a steep mountain slope.
+Mr_Pooba -- pity the British presenters with "balls" are gone ... I think Jeremy's reasoning is sound. IF you want a car for fun, get a Vette ... its practically impractical, yet less money than the almost practical yet "expensive" and "faster" Audio R8. The R8 also had some odd issues, yet I think zee Germans will shot the sloppy installer of zee trip computer! ruclips.net/video/g4CPBfpnye0/видео.html
Yep. Same thing in his Z06 review. Constantly smoking the tires and swinging the rear end out. But when Stig drove it for the lap time there was very little drama and he held the course nicely for a fantastic time. Not sure if Jeremy really thinks they should be driven this way or if he drove them this way for effect. Probably the latter. I love the show and their reviews but you have to sort the facts from the entertainment.
MrOmnos LOL! The Corvette C6 is not a shitty design. If it was then it wouldn't rank so high on the list of Nürburgring lap times. There's plenty of drama when 'our tame racing driver' drives cars that are poorly designed. He has even crashed a few. But there was practically no drama when he drove the C6 'vettes. He stuck to the course like glue. Which means by definition Jeremy did not drive it fine, though I still contend he played it up for effect. That's half the show and one of the reasons everyone loved it so much.
+Horse From Hell That was a professional race driver with Vette experience, but any other John Doe as driver would crash the car there quickly, because you can´t drive the Vette hard at the limits as a non experienced race driver. The R8 is a driver friendly car for all day use for normal sporty driver, with also a predictable behavior at the limits. Not to mention, that a V10 is more fun to drive than a V8 turbo, because you get the power instantly at the V10, as the turbo boost cames later and in the turbo boost kick you can loose the control of the car quickly, esp. in corners.
He's dead on with his criticism of the corvette. However, I would like him to review the 2015 all new z06. All of the problems he spoke about in the old generation have been addressed. I'm sure he'd be in for a treat
While I appreciate that he got it right about these two cars, there was a lot to be irritated by this video. A decent driver will always win a race with the Corvette. Just check out the Ring lap times. No one disputes that the C6 has a cheap interior to hit the price point. But everyone finds C6 to be dependable and well built. It lasts forever. Its dirt cheap to maintain. The C6 will outperform the R8 and most other EU supercars at a fraction the price to buy or run. It just lacks the polish that comes with the 3x price difference. If you just want to drive, the C6 is the winner.
we own a c6 and i have no idea what jeremy is talking about, it has nice inteior, we are a tall family and theres plenty of space, and the trunk has lots of space the materials in it arent even that cheap, like the only thing he proves is when he hits the back of the car but thats the only part of that car thats like that
In the US, the corvette would be the better choice. Truckers don't mess with domestic sports/muscle cars on the highway. they move outta your way. You drive something like a R8, Lamborghini, Ferrari people want to race you(people in american cars). some truckers will block you on purpose.
He deliberately drove the Vette like that, to make it look bad. There's no way in hell, a Vette would handle that way, and I've owned 5. The Vettes faster, and in my opinion, looks slightly better.
+dennis walker What this clip doesn't show is later on the stig drove both of them around the track and the Vette did in fact win by a second, just goes to show how much jermey hates American cars!
+Donovan Bulmer see the nurberghring zr1 hot lap. it didnt handled like that. you need to admit there is some bullshit in this video. btw audi r8 v10 didnt beat corvette nurberghring lap time. so its not faster as jeremy said in the last of the video.
Watching him drive that ZR1 is like watching an infomercial. "OH no.. tired of converting your tires to smoke because your car doesn't lay down the horsepower correctly while at full throttle around a corner? Don't just use your head and limit your throttle buy an Audi"
My mom worked at the GM proving grounds during the development of the ZR1. When they were testing chassis #1, the “Blue Devil”, on the back straightaway, she thought they were torture-testing NASCARs. She said it was the most wicked and evil sound she’s ever heard from a vehicle to date.
@@Firemarioflower nah, she worked at a company that was a contractor for GM. I can’t recall which one… maybe QEK if I remember right. That would’ve been sick, though!
I've posted this before and I'll say it again. You can find videos on here of a Corvette Z06 easily beating an Audi R8 V10, as for a Zr1.... you know how that would end. The reality is - The vette' is cheaper, faster, better around corners (BUT AMERICAN CARS CAN'T HANDLE! No, Look up track times, the Audi is not even close.), easier to modify, and more reliable. HOWEVER, if I was given the option (as stupid of an example as this is), I'd take an R8 V10 spider. I'd sacrifice the speed, sound, handling, ect, ect, in an instant to whip a spyder/spider. But hey, that's what real car enthusiasts should start to realize. It's not always about the speed, but the "soul" of the car. Think about the GTR. The thing decimates anything, or just about, despite the price range.... but you hear people saying it all the time - it has no soul. It's not fun unless you're ripping it at 160+, it's boring, it's ugly. Not hating on GTR's, just an example. To each their own. You hear some guys with the slowest, oldest, most unreliable Ferrari's out there who would take them any day over a 458, simply because they're a blast to drive, just how most of you would take an R34, or an "R35".
WOW I bumped into my favourite GTA V troller on RUclips! Man I didn't know that you were into cars haha Unrelated point here but do you plan to upload another GTA V video where you run people over? It would be hilarious to hear their angry reactions haha
Well, no one cares what you call it when it really comes down to it. All they car about is how well it does at the track. And the Audi pales in comparison. So if that's the case, give me a car with "BETTER GRIP".
Guys, just ignore him. There is literally ZERO point in arguing. No matter what, he isn't going to change. Lap times on the Vette, handling/grip,acceleration - simply annihilate the Audi's. This is what makes true enthusiasts look bad. Hating on American cars even when the facts are there. NO matter what he says - the facts are on our side. You cannot dispute lap times and tests
Haven't you all been paying attention? Of course he's gonna rant on the US Vette. That's Jeremy there after all. However, the video ends with "You'd have to be bonkers to buy the Corvette. And that is why you should." Get it? He likes the Vette better. Not surprisingly.
The problem with Top Gear is they are so biased you can't believe anything they say. The reviews of US cars should have a disclaimer "For entertainment purposes only".
TonyFbaby87 You have a right to be wrong. Quality studies by independent organizations still give Japanese cars the edge. European cars and American cars are about equal. However European cars can be very expensive to fix. I know people that spent more trying to fix their European cars than what it cost me to buy my used Acura RL.
TonyFbaby87 As a German, I completely dissagree with you, Corvettes have been compared to 911s side by side for the last 50 years, And 911s are some of THE finest cars produced, Mustangs to M3s to, Cadillacs to Mercedes, With wins going to both sides, The list goes on, The Americans make great cars, And have been putting that false myth of US cars not being able to handle to pasture for a LONG time, Only problem is, Us Germans have an Extremely smug and arrogant quality when it comes to reviewing other cars.
So true. He doesn't know how to drive american cars, because theyre strictly Motor and wheels. not computers, like most of the powerful cars he drives. the aventador, the bugatti, the p1, they all basically drive themselves you just steer. Also, someone who knows how to drive that vette would have dusted the r8 on the track
I'm on my 7th Corvette, and second C6. I've NEVER had any of the problems they complain about, nor have I heard of any other owners having them. They just have to have something to hate on, and the Corvette is an easy target since it is far cheaper than the cars they love but is competitive with them.
The Top Gear video comments are always fascinating; teenage boys getting into a rage about insults to cars they will never own and probably wouldn't be able to drive. It's like a demonic Top Trumps tournament.
I can't stand when people talk shit about any car.. I would kill to own either one of these machines. Yes, I would take the vette over the r8, but thats because of my personal taste and preference. That doesn't mean that the r8 Is a shit car. Both cars are remarkable feats of engineering. Of course I would take a Koenigsegg One:1 over anything else, but then again, I would have a big ass collection of cars If I had the money. lol
John762 May be over the V8 R8, but the R8 V10 engine makes the R8 to the ultimate sports car. The interior is leather and aluminium and feels solid like a rock. the Vette is just a cheap car with a giant engine. In quality and material comparison, the price of the Vette is insolence. A 1990's Honda has a better interior. But the price differnce is also unimportand on the long run. In 2025 a Vette will be nearly worthless, but a R8 will get high retail prices. So if you calculate the the yearly using price for a R8 you will be equal to the Vette or even better of.
They can’t give you mounds of suspension, engine, and give the greatest interior at the vette price point. The base vette can be bought in the high 40 if you deal, that is a lot of car. Then add a motor that cost 25 k to buy aftermarket . What do you think those brakes cost? What about the dif and upgraded tranny. It all adds up and you got to go exotic if you want everything nice.
A 2012 C6 ZR1 lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7:19 A 2015 Audi R8 V10 plus lapped it in 7:32 Goes to show that the bias is real, but we all love him nonetheless. Classic Clarkson.
Jeremy didn't hate the corvete, he likes it. Even in that video he prefer the corvette rather than the r8. He put the c7 stingray as his car of the year, and he says everyrhing with ford badge is classic masterpiece. Plus he once own ford gt. Does it sounds like he hate every american cars. He just hate the rubbish one
RyanCPR Ford GT's are shit, they're not American. 80% of an Ford GT is built in Britain. He own's Two of them because one of them is going to be broken down in the shop. Ford, Found On Road Dead.
Here in America we enjoy the crazy cars. It takes skill to master. I have a Corvette and I have driven Audi R8's and the R8 is indeed a monstrous car but it is quite easy to drive. He even said it himself the Vette is funner to drive.
The Audi doesn't have a ''Lamborghini V10'', the V10 engine in the R8 was developed by Audi and they gave it to Lamborghini to power the Gallardo & Huracan models. Also, the ZR-1 had a faster laptime on the Nuerburgring Nordschleife then the R8, which speaks for it self.
Love the R8 but I agree with Jeremy in this review and with what Richard said in the earlier R8 review. It's a fantastic car, possibly one of the best all round sport cars in the world, but that's part of the problem. It's almost TOO good. It almost drives itself. The 911 and Corvette are more powerful, have more personality, and require more skill to drive at their maximum potential.
What you brits don't get is that those Americans don't get is "European Suspension" that's what makes a good handling car. Ever since we here in Australia started building cars with this suspension and found it great, we have been trying to educate them over there about it and when we sent the G8 over they found out how good it is. So boys good suspension makes a great handling car not some thing that is fast in a straight line.
DTF1 - daily F1 M E M E S This is such a rediculous argument. GTR is all wheel drive and has almost 100 horsepower less. The new C8 corvette has better tires and 150 horsepower less, not to mention a new 8 speed dual clutch. Let’s be real, he doesn’t know how to handle a high horsepower rwd car.
The traction and stability control has five settings and he has it off. That's level 5. Even when Randy Pobst was setting lap records with this car at Laguna Seca he was switching between 3 and 4. I hate to say it, but Clarkson doesn't know what he's doing or he very much does. This car is so much faster around that track or any other save maybe and autocross and the r8 he is doing something wrong.
The price of an Audi V10 is around the price of a Lamb Gallardo at this point. If you want your VW to have a V10 and willing to spend the price for that car, then why NOT go for the Gallardo to begin with? R8 is just a Gallardo with a different body design
the corvette is better, this was a very biased review. They spent, most of the time talking about the Audi and tried to complain about everything they could with the corvette. Put a real race driver behind the wheel of both cars and the corvette will win. Also the Audi is just a Lambo with its balls chopped off with the Lambo engine, girly curves, and all wheel drive.
I was always surprised that he absolutely loved the R8 with the V8 engine describing it as "smearing honey on Keira Knightley" and was completely enamored with it, and yet the R8 with the V10 he's keeping it at arm's length and being hyper critical about small things that don't matter at the end of the day (ie Sport Mode On!). For someone who's battle cry was "POWER!!!" and there are precious few V10 road cars in the world these days, I would have thought he would have fallen in love with the car all over again.
Back then V10s were taken for granted. You had the LFA, the Viper, the Gallardo and the R8 and maybe a few that I'm missing as well (Porsche did their Carrera GT a few uears back). I guess no one could have thought that VW would be the only manufacturer building V10 engines in 10 years time. Someone needs to build an absolute monster of a machine with a 5L+ V10 hitting 9,000 RPM and KERS that pushes 1.5K BHP, weighs less than 1,300kg and would challenge Stefan Bellof's 6:11 time at the Nurburgring.
Jeremy can't drive, and hates American cars. The ZR1 doesn't handle well? Here are the 'Ring times. ZR1 - 7:19.63, Audi R8 V10 GT - 7:34.00. It also set a track record at Laguna Seca at 1:33.70. The R8, 1:36.39.
Your Reckoning He was making a point that the show is blatantly biased, which I'm guessing explains it "falling apart" and "not starting after 3 days". LMAO Brits are stubborn though, I've learned to just never argue with them.
Your Reckoning whats your point? the zr1 is not a consumer car its a race car and jerromy shot first by talking shit and not being able to drive when he knows damn good and well the stig would have dominated the track with it.... and he actually did.

It's not like Britain was doing much against Nazi Germany, or France come to think of it, and Russia either. Gee I wonder how it is we exist in this world today. Speaking of Britain... how was it that they ended up losing their Empire? Was it because some farmers decided they were fed up with taxes and declared war on the most powerful military in the world? And then inspired the rest of the world to lead uprisings... hm, I guess we'll never know... Oh wait! That's why we have history books! Learn a smidgen of history next time. Just because you don't like America, for whatever reason, doesn't mean you can gloss over our lineage, however dubious the morality of it is. Europe had it's time as the world dominant power, and now it's Asia and America... so deal with it I guess. Not to mention it was a throwaway joke, who cares about winning wars. It's a terrible and awful remnant in today's society of a world that should be long past.
Funny he didn't mention that the Audi has AWD and the ZR1 has RWD. Clarkson and top gear just try to make American cars look bad so that people think they suck. I know multiple people that have audis and vws and they would rather have the American cars they had before because the Germans are so expensive to repair. For example, to get a sheared bolt replaced was over $200 just for the piece.
Love the R8, beautiful dream car. But the Corvette for me is a much more realistic choice. The C6 body is probably one of the most recognizable shapes ever. And back in the days of the C6.R GT1, I'll never forget how beautiful the car looked and sounded at Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring.

well, yes, the zr1 is undoubtly faster, but the r8 is just easier on you, and you will thank that if you use it outside a racetrack. If you are an experienced driver that will use another car to get to work anyway, then the corvette is a better choice, but if you don't want to die the r8 might just be a bit of a good deal.

Cool to see how far American cars have come. Look at the C7 Vette for example. The build quality has improved so much.
But the interiors are still crap.
youdoitillwatch Yeah but they're getting better. A lot better from the previous gen. You still can't truly compare them to European cars but, many of them are almost at that point
On the track American cars that are 60-80k can beat out 100-150k cars from other countries.

I'm into the Corvette ZR1.
Because it's fast, Loud, And powerful.
Which makes it a good track race car.
And it's a pretty good drifter.
I feel like they will definitely go up in value in the future.
between the C4s and the ZR1 what did you like more?

I managed to drive an older R8 (the one with the S-tronic and 4.2 V8) on a wet day and I couldn't really get the thing to oversteer.

Mr_Pooba ya think!!!!
Jeremy can't drive a Corvette; he's hammering it mid corner and he wants it to "get into straight line". LET OFF THE GAS!!
Daniel Taylor There's a way to drive like you should and there's one for the right camera angle.
MrOmnos Shitty design, yet it manages a faster Top Gear laptime in the damp than the AWD R8. Funny...

+Davin haha yes!
+Horse From Hell okay lol
+Davin * Nürburgring or Nuerburgring. In german language you can replace ü with ue, ö with oe, ä with ae and ß with ss, which is not ideal but fine.
Not to mention, that a V10 is more fun to drive than a V8 turbo, because you get the power instantly at the V10, as the turbo boost cames later and in the turbo boost kick you can loose the control of the car quickly, esp. in corners.
love both, can't afford either XD

Man I didn't know that you were into cars haha
Unrelated point here but do you plan to upload another GTA V video where you run people over?

As a German, I completely dissagree with you, Corvettes have been compared to 911s side by side for the last 50 years, And 911s are some of THE finest cars produced, Mustangs to M3s to, Cadillacs to Mercedes, With wins going to both sides, The list goes on, The Americans make great cars, And have been putting that false myth of US cars not being able to handle to pasture for a LONG time, Only problem is, Us Germans have an Extremely smug and arrogant quality when it comes to reviewing other cars.

I'm on my 7th Corvette, and second C6. I've NEVER had any of the problems they complain about, nor have I heard of any other owners having them.
Rick2010100 Where do you live where a vette will be worthless in 10 years? Also, the interior looks fine.
Bill Smith I live inGermany, but jou just have to look at Ebay for wich prices Vettes are dealed.

I love when he licks the steering wheel 😂😂
The price of an Audi V10 is around the price of a Lamb Gallardo at this point. If you want your VW to have a V10 and willing to spend the price for that car, then why NOT go for the Gallardo to begin with? R8 is just a Gallardo with a different body design
Its just a mater of personal preference since they are both Volkswagens... Even so i would chose the lambo
frtp96 And lamborghini is owned by audi, and audi is owned by vw. so vw owns lamborghini
xavier capela That´s what I said :p
Never mind xD
The R8 is cheaper and is much nicer looking. Than the Lambo.
I love the head shake at 0:10 "V-10"
the corvette is better, this was a very biased review.
Also, The ZR1 beat the R8 on the TopGear Power Laps. Stig did a 1.20.4 in the ZR1 compared to a 1.21.6 in the R8.
Hit the nail on the head man!Thumbs up!
you forgot to add that these times are recorded by a professional driver.
Let’s be honest, most of us, votes for the corvette ZR1
i refuse to believe that this car was FALLING APART
Yep, Jeremy is full or crap as usual.
American cars generally fall apart. The whole world knows that accept you guys.
@@implive17 Most American cars can outlast European cars, so accept that.
Yeah .. not so sure on that one.
Don’t think so lol, I see more Benz’s from the 70’s and 80’a then any fords from that time
It's like an orvhestra concert on one stage and on the other stage at 9 PM, AC/DC steps out and out comes Bon Scott.
2018 & still obsessed with the ZR1
The handling is pretty epic as well
Drifts around a corner
Jeremy I think the US beat Britain pretty convincingly
Aside from needing france to help....
@@mcmc1863 I won't bring up how we had to bail the UK out of WW2. 😁
@@tbone0785 oh you should, lets hear the BS...THEN we'll talk about the real version.
It'll be the closest USA come to winning a war like clarkson says !
@DemonSlayer ByKnight well, at least we won wars to develop an empire...shall we start counting how many USA have won....hhhhmmmm...🤣
I own for 28 years a Corvette C4
Every summer I still Enjoy to drive it
It s a classic now a days and a lot of people still can appreciate it here in the netherlands
Better then the new cars who got no soul 😅
Can't afford either one, but since I'm American, the Corvette has been my dream car forever. And Corvettes are cheaper to buy and keep than any Audi. I worked for Hertz for a while, and drove an Audi A-4. It took 10 minutes just to figure out how to tune the radio, because some German engineer put about a thousand buttons in the sound system, where ten would work just fine. If you want a car with a Ferrari engine, buy the Ferrari!
Now we all heard Jeremy say that the Corvette is more fun to drive sooo... Its a no brainer.
The R8 better than the ZR1 ? Lmmfao! Got to love this Brits
its not better its MUCH better
@@arturs4024 the R8 is and always will be a Gallardo with an Audi badge.
@@RedLP5000S and the zr1 is a autistic zl1 1le

It most probably is for grand touring, but he said he preferred the ZR1 anyway if you watched it towards the end
@@subconscious.com_usa6691 I did watched it towards the end. It just wasn't convincing enough
Jeremy: *literally licking the steering wheel and giggling because he's having so much fun
Also Jeremy: "The trouble is, it's a bit too joyless"
“If only America could win it’s wars so convincingly”
America: *loans weapons to England, wins Western front World War II for England*
Win its wars convincingly? I guess they never heard of Hiroshima.

😆 typical american, thinks they won the war!! Yoube never won a fuckin war 😆 oh maybe vietnam....oh no, not that one !!
MC MC
Nope you're right... definitely never won WW2, the American Revolution, Korea, Spanish American War, War of 1812, or the French and Indian War... definitely not. It's not like we supported Russia and Britain in World War 2 to such a degree that their militaries could properly function, while simultaneously maintaining our own... One hundred percent never won a war, not at all, not once... Man it's almost like our entire culture, which was built off of military might, is a lie... hmm, I wonder how on Earth it was that major superpowers were defeated.
@@hankrmith5971 the french gave them the idea, with the help of the french army, took it back, didnt even have a big enough army!
C6 ZR1 @ WOT is probably my favorite exhaust sound of them all.
If you thought that was impressive, wait till you hear the GT1 race car...
1:27 20 minutes into netflix and chill and he gives you this look
+SynysterMustang 20 minutes into audi and chill
20 years after childhood and you're still using that God awful phrase
Reid Smith butthurt much :P
These 2 cars are absolutely amazing. Dream cars right there...
Americans build cars to have fun, the brits build cars to look sophisticated. lols
Do you mean Germans?
Frozensyco there was not a single British car in this video
This is the Corvette ZR1 which is extremely fast...
Cracking information
Love the R8, beautiful dream car. But the Corvette for me is a much more realistic choice. The C6 body is probably one of the most recognizable shapes ever. And back in the days of the C6.R GT1, I'll never forget how beautiful the car looked and sounded at Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring.
“its handling pretty well“
>show footage of oversteer
2:10 R.I.P. the German who installed it 🇩🇪
is he really complaining about a sports car being too wide? I think the britt just cant handle it
this is still one of the most wholesome Top Gear BBC reviews ever
I do like the Audi, but as a corvette owner, The corvette wins every time for me, Its just so good.
I love how people hate on fiberglass corvette panels on youtube, after that talk on forums how to reduce weight on they're civics
Because they probably track their civics
nh skiier I track my skiro
Why does this guy take constant shots at America
And what's wrong with left side drive?
If he can only handle right aide drive cars, he'd have no option but to do poorly in a left side drive car.
Not familiar with Top Gear are you?
+alex jones lol
top gear is a English motoring show. the English drive on the left. that's why left hand drive sucks.
Rekkless edgy
Most replayed moment in this video is the intro for the Corvette... says enough for me🤙🤙
