I hope it does work! As a type one diabetic, I don't hold onto the hope that it will ever be cured, but I hold onto the hope for better and more accessible treatments.
Thank you so much! Are there any updates or links to a site that we can look further into the progress of this potential insulin alternative? As a type 1 diabetic of 30 years and one of four siblings with it, I am ready for a new, healthier, more affordable insulin option. The time has come to put greed aside and start helping fellow humans live life instead of surviving if we are lucky. Most people do not realize the seriousness of type 1 diabetes so I think we could start by educating people so they understand the risk of fatality we face daily, and maybe others can start to stand with us in this battle to lower costs so insulin is readily available to all in need, or find a cure.
Great talk. I’m a type 1 diabetic and accepted that there won’t ever be a cure. I don’t think I’ll change this view but I believe with time and more knowledge, there will be better solutions to dealing with diabetes.
I'm right there with you (35+ years). But I think that in time, the tinkerers among us...people like Connor and others who experiment on their own....may just figure out how to restore function in this quirky pancreas. 🙂
If one lives in a country like Ethiopia someone dying from lack of insulin is just a regular matter. But hearing that this is also happening in a country like USA is unbelievable for us.
My brother rationed his insulin. He, 6'4 died at 44 yrs old, 130lb🥺 I've got the same type 1 diabetes. We both got it at age 34. I thought our constitution was set up to protect us from companies getting monopolized control on products. So we could supply friendly competition in a inventive market to produce better and healing products. What laws have caused this lock hold on this market 🤔🥺 patent laws should not be allowed to effect the research and development for improvement on human lives! God Bless You're research 🙏😔❣️
Being a type 1 diabetic I hope something happens soon to ease this crisis. A month supply of insulin costs me $500.00 usd. I only eat once a day so that I can use the bare minimum amount of insulin. This allows me to reduce the cost to about $300 a month. But it's taking a severe toll on my health.
I am so excited!! I would love to learn more about how it works once in the body? Would one still have to test blood sugar levels and is there still a risk for hypo or is it possible that this would self regulate?
He does on his gofundme page. Unfortunately in his his latest update (January 2021) he explains that his team has disbanded because of regulation challenges, he's still experimenting on Physarum though.
S Brecke here’s the thing. walmart insulin is rlly unstable. it works a lot different than big pharma companies, like novolog or humalog. walmart insulin is rlly bad (or so i’ve heard)

Emily, try growing up. Your Friend was the wrong person for him and he was the very wrong person for her. Human beings are making mistakes. You are stalking and talking bs to hurt him, but here it is about T1D.

Man I can’t wait for your research completion and relieve the world from clutches of corporates holding insulin market

This is so great! The cost of insulin has gotten so out of hand for my family and so many. This gave a lot of hope. Thank you for your efforts!!!
. . . and my nephew needs this stuff, too!
Any updates with this in the last 4 years?

Insulin is a life saving drug, and it's profit BEFORE people in the US. Try Walmart OTC insulin without a RX, ask your doctor first

People with diabetes, not diabetics. But overall, bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This Insulin crisis is Exactly why we need price controls on greedy corporations.
These insulin companies also need to be punished for what they have done to diabetics.
In Oregon, you can buy insulin at Walmart over the counter no prescription for $24.88 pet vial

This would be so much better if Connor wasn’t a horrible human :(
