Thank god they didn't butchered the masterpiece.
One of the greatest AC games
Hear hear. Did not have a DS and could not have bought one at the time.
Masterpiece my ass, it had the most boring Assassin's creed story, the bomb weapon system was awful and the only parts even worth playing was the very beginning and end of the story.
@@kosmas173most boring? lol the most boring is the ac 1.
@@kosmas173 you should change your profile picture since you don't know what you are talking about, Revelations has some of the best and most impactful moments in the franchise, Altair final moments, Ezio finding out he is just a conduct for a message sent through the Centuries, Subject 16 saving Desmond from the Animus when everyone thought he would betray him, and lots and lots of epic moments, yes, it was more of the same since AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations are quite similar, gameplay and graphics wise, but the story is amazing, and that's why you don't know what you are talking about.
Fucking epicness out of nowhere... Ezio AC games are the best AC games
I disagree. Ezio is a bombastic loud dude who doesn't have the personality of an assassin to me. But either way I respect your opinion
Yes
Brotherhood is still my favorite to date. Probably gonna replay it after i finish Valhalla
I mean it’s alright
@@GameFailures lmao none of the main protagonists has the personality of an assassin except Altair.
Another Fun Fact : AC Brotherhood was supposed to be a cash grab, it was given an extremely low budget of 9 Million and 9 Months for development, Ubisoft wanted quick money through the release of brotherhood so players would flock over from AC2 while Ubisoft themselves had no intention of keeping them happy. The devs over at Ubi Montreal however loved this franchise and community more than the Parent Company back in France and so they gave it their all and now we have the Ezio trilogy to define the spirit of AC at it's core.
And it was my fav game in the series
That's some dedication, and also hilarious it turned out that way, i wonder where are the devs that made Brotherhood is working now....
@@AhmadWahelsa Well the three people who can actually carry this franchise are Darby Mcdevit as Writer(Worked on 1,2,BH, Revelations and 3, he was brought back for Valhalla but was fired due to disagreements early on in development), Jesper Kyd as Composer ( He wrote Ezio's Family and composed The AC2 and Brotherhood OST) and Ashraf Ismail as Director (Revelations and Origins). The team at Ubi Montreal clashed alot with Ubisoft France so working conditions were apparently crap so while the rest of the team did work on AC Unity and Valhalla they didn't have the same directors and writers and now we have whatever Valhalla and Odyssey are.
@@AhmadWahelsa that's not to say that other teams were bad. Ubi Montreal was split into two teams. Ubi Quebec worked on Revelations and I think Black Flag. Ubi Sofia made Rogue. Unity and Syndicate were made by different teams split from Ubi Montreal and Quebec.
To be honest, that makes sense. I think the combat was absolutely butchered and it had a lot of clashing and conflicting game design that didn’t know what it wanted. It wasn’t very cohesive or sewn together very well.
AC already had some balance issues, but Brotherhood has some of the worst balance issues I’ve ever seen in a game.
The MP was great though.
I overall enjoy the game, but it really be much better. It carries itself on concepts more than actual well designed gameplay.
So basically Nintendo unintentionally forced ubisoft to not use a shitty marketing tactic and actually come up with a new game, that's amazing lol
Yeah, exactly. lol, this was the same with the early Far Cry ports
Didn't stop ubisoft doing it years later
The Ezio Trilogy is such a videogaming achievement that it sometimes makes you forget how crap Ubisoft is at taking care of a franchise
Nintendo is just as evil though. We saw how they feel about fan projects of their games.

Best game I have ever played hands down
Best assassins creed no doubt
I wouldn't say the best of the Ezio trilogy but it was good
@@Fableruin nah 4
This was the best story part with the lost civilisation speaking to Desmond through Ezio. If they never had this, the story would of fell apart much earlier.
I miss that part of my life.
Its always there for you to revisit that pârț of your life :) i just completed revelations for first time, absolutului amazing Game. Its reignited my love for AC in general
Its already spoken in AC2. ACR story wasnt that important, just fanservice
The Ezio trilogy will sadly never be topped by another Assassin's Creed game, they set the bar so high for an interactive storytelling piece right from where we picked up Ezio as a problematic teen to the conclusion of his journey in Revelation it is a masterpiece.
Brace yourself...the Ezio-haters are coming after you soon 🥱
@@sprewthizzle Let them come, i don't care anymore Ezio is the best
It could be topped but not if it's developed by Ubisoft
I do agree with you I loved the ezio trilogy but for some reason I loved orgins more when I played them all and I don’t know why
I sort of agree. Revelations was the fir AC game I got then immediately after finishing it I bought 1,2 and brotherhood. Altair and Ezios story was the best story telling in AC I would say black flag and Edward me way is on the same level. Yeah he’s not the same kind of assassin but I couldn’t put black flag down. Just beat it for the first time last week and that game was great
The Ezio story was peak AC. You can't change my mind such a great trilogy
Yea exactly. After revelations assasibs creed went straight down the toilet. But you know what brings back similar mechanics on ps5 spider man 2
There is an exception: AC4: Black Flag.
@@q-tip4723 No hate on AC4, I really love that game, but it's less about assassins and more about Pirates.
@@TechnicalBeastYT
That is very true. Though it's a break away from the standard, it was still amazing.
@q-tip4723
No, it's not
At least Ezio Triology combo requires some skills not some spamming buttons for cinematic take downs
Revelations was my first installment. Ezio is fucking GOATED.

@@wjzav1971
No way man, I really enjoyed the missions personally
The missions had do many bomb and hook blade usage it was fun
I don't know what you referring to with gameplay but the gameplay is literally brotherhood with more polish and options
The assassin's were the most fun imo
@@SSAS939 Brotherhood you had a wide assortment of side-quests and plenty of opportunities to play around with your skills, abilities and equipment.
Revelations barely had any side-quests and the chapters were over pretty quickly. Each faction (mercenaries, courtisans, thiefs) offered so many missions in Brotherhood and you could do quests about Templar Agents, the Followers of Romulus and the main quests were quite tricky.
Revelations offered exactly one quest per faction and the main quests were over pretty quickly and sometimes so easy and insultingly dull. Ohhh, you have to tail a flower merchant to collect tullips. RIVETING!
The bombs were fun but you got so little opportunity to try them out in comparison to how you really could play round in AC II and Brotherhood.
Revelations was such a disappointment.
Definitely not underrated when its an Ezio game.
Thanks to this I have a chance to play AC Revelations and learn so many great things about AC Revelations Ezio
You’re welcome ☺️ lol 😂
Thank fuck for that arguably the best game in the series definitely my favourite
I agree, it's so awesome 🙏🏼
Umm black flag was obviously the best of the series like theres not even a argument to be made black flag is objectively the best assassin's creed game , to the extent it shouldn't have even been an assassin's creed game since its clearly on a completely different level and deserving of its own ip separate from the shame that comes along with being an assassin's creed game post brotherhood
@@Cold_Cactusthere’s merit to what your saying it’s not an assassins creed game it’s when they started the whole new assassins creed era so best of that era but not of the og creed games revelations finishes a 4 game spanning story arc ac4 has nothing to do with the previous games so can’t be counted as an equal to them it’s in a class of it’s own
Well ac 3 started it off but that game kinda sucks and ac4 smashed it out the water so I’d say it still kicks off a big change in ac games as ac 3 and rogue are different but similar to an ac game ac4 starts you off as someone who dosent know about the creed or templars nor wants to be apart of either
A true rpg just set in the ac universe it seems cause I played Edward as a full on pirate and didn’t count him as an assassin at any part of the game the ending said he went on to become one but you essentially weren’t one the entire game and I loved every second of it but again I can’t count it as a true ac game nor a participant in this race to number 1
revelation was the first assassins creed game I played and it will always be my favorite

If revolations was ment for the 3ds then it explains why the tower defence part exists
What we need is a prince of Persia
Amen brother! But sadly they canceled it because of assassin's creed's development. POP is basically the prototype of AC.
Sorry but Prince of Persia is dead and buried,AC series started as an intended POP: Assassin but the devs didn't like a pop game where the main character isn't that prince
The first AC was supposed to be a PoP game, titled: Prince of Persia - Assassins. They made the brilliant decision of making it it's own IP, and a more realistic historical game.
Handheld have never “taken over” since the game boy
Back when Ubisoft made games that didn't suck
I find it funny how Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelations ended up being better games than most modern ACs, despite their development suggesting they could have been massive train wrecks.
Revelations was the blueprint for the new AC games. It's nothing about stealth and full of explosive set pieces
I'm glad it does...the ending still gives me chills
AC2 ending
Minerva speaking directly into the screen was so trippy!
“What?..who is Desmond?”
That was mad!
Can anyone from Ubisoft tell us what they were doing with the future story in AC? That story was so weird

The very first sword a the prettiest 🥰 I play the whole game whit this sword 😅
The best game for me ❤️
This is my first ever game to play on the ps3, which was my 3rd console. I had gameboy and psp first.
Some of the best things come from some happy accidents, and Assassin's Creed Revelations is one such thing. I especially loved all the weird grenade effects you could create in the game to mess with the guards. It really catered to a variety of playstyles.
And now im playing it 😎🤙
This doesn’t feel right at all. AC brotherhood was left on a cliff hanger. No way would they continue Desmond’s story exclusively on hand helds.
Also 3DS sales weren’t booming like ps3/Xbox
Such a well done game, 👏.
😅
"This is the time where Handheld Consoles were taking over." Uh... No, I'd argue it's when they started to die, lmao. Handheld gaming was at it's peak in the 2000's with the PSP and Nintendo DS. (And the PSP and NDS both had Assassin's Creed games.)

This is by far the best Assassin's Creed game I have ever played.
i am turning the first 4 AC games into a TV series on my channel...
I mean there was a revelations game for 3ds, just not Assassin's creed
They also released a DS tie-in game for AC2 called AC2: Discovery, that covers the 3 (?) years missing in the main game, when Ezio was in Spain. It’s a game that nobody played or remembers but it still annoys me that it wasn’t included in the otherwise perfect Ezio Collection.
Have any of yall actually gone back to play AC Revelations? There's less stealth than the new games. There's only a single stealth mission and the rest is combat or explosions and chases. Even the trailer for this game couldn't pretend it was a stealth game
Ezio trilogy was ubisofts masterpiece. No other ac game can compare
Kenway Saga > Ezio Trilogy
Amazing game with great story.Golden age of gaming
i was and always will be in love with the ezio trilogy specially this one with its darker, more atmospheric and mature vibe but it did feel odd to have such a complex story that bookends everything come out because it just never happens. so glad we got this.
Bro, this has got to be one of my all time favourites and there is none like it for the story with Altair and ezio together
You’re telling me that my favorite Assassins creed game was created by accident?
Lost Legacy literally lost huh...
In other words, you were meant to play it, but under a different name on a handheld console.
Damn ac revelations coming out the same year as the 3ds is wild it seems off but it's true
Just finnished playing it for the first time completed the ezio collection
Also, fun fact, it’s pronounced “three” and not “free”
I will never play Revelations again!
Sounds copy pasted from DC’s court of owls
If only mirage was as good a surprise game as this was
'yeah', so much so from back then (half and half in these current Days too)-in their own right-that there even existed some smart(?) phone type/PSP hybrid device for example, hm. [half-jokingly muttered at (00:11-00:15)]
I’m glad they did this. It’s a good final chapter for Ezio and a great sendoff to arguably one of the best assassins in history
I wonder what would have happened if Revelations never came out. Would we even have an ending to Ezio’s story or would Ubisoft just skip it and go on to another character?
Brits be like: Nintendo Free Ds. 😂
Fun Fact: This is entirely untrue and Revelations existed in long before Lost Legacy's concept
Revelations was EXCEPTIONAL and a GREAT end to the trilogy. the Ottoman/Byzantine backdrop was *so, so good*

AC2: The Energized Catalyst
ACB: The Mature and Skilled
AC Rev: The Wise Mentor
AC Embers: For the Fans
AC3: The Sorrowful End
Altair, Ezio, and Desmond were, and still are, the peak of the entire Assassin's Creed franchise. It is such an absolute truth that Uvisoft has forced them into nearly every game after AC3 possible. Yet, they refuse to give us what made the Desmond Miles Era so great.
I am a firm believer that Assassin's Creed died with Desmond Miles. Some of the games are good, some of them are atrocious, and none of them have the feeling that those earlier games awed millions with. The best you get out of Assassin's Creed now is "good" when Assassin's Creed used to be hailed as "legendary". It isn't the same anymore, and I doubt it ever will be.
Requiescat in pace.
It was my first game I ever bought, one of my best buys ever.
Revelations was what introduced me to the AC franchise. I think not a day later, I purchased the first Assassin’s Creed and immediately fell in love. Most embarrassing part was in Masyaf, when Al Mualim tells you to “go to God” I was stuck on that Leap of Faith for a good 15 minutes not knowing HOW to jump.
Also Darby said he still has his old script for Lost Legacy. But I don’t think he’s ever released anything unfortunately, must be a Ubisoft thing

This is false information. The 3DS was a flop at launch, so much so, nintendo had to cut the price soon after. Then, years after, it finally became a success, but never to the point of the DS. The vita was also a flop. 2011 isn’t the time handhelds were taking over, it was the time they were dying.
Cheers. I actually didn’t know that. It’s still a fantastic game and it’s also available on Nintendo Switch, so at least Ubisoft waited for Nintendo to catch up to everyone else!
I bought Brotherhood & Revelations on the same day & at the time didn't know which one came next chronologically so I started playing Revelations & ended up getting one of the biggest spoilers in the franchise due to my stupidity 😂😭
No, in 2011 handhled consoles weren't taking over anything and 3DS was selling very poorly and needed much price cut to get on track.
So that's how the best AC game was born
Best ac game Story wise ever. The most a game made me cry
@@FrogBrah8One of the only few games that made grown men cried
That is a very nice fun fact. I happen to like this game very much. Other say that nothing original came out of the game but I respectfully disagree.
Revelations was the AC game that showed me the franchise will go down hill. It was simply too boring and don’t even get me started on how boring Istanbul is. No matter how many more games are being made the franchise is doomed.
....and now I am playing Mirage exclusively in the Revelations outfit
considering revelation was my first ac game i likely wouldn't have played the series until at least freedom cry because i was not playing anything like it or seeking out games like it until fc released.
Revelations was the perfect conclusion to Ezio’s trilogy and what really got me into assassins creed. I showed my buddy back then the trailer like 5 times haha That whole storyline especially in the real world with desmond and the isu tripped me out as a kid and even sorta changed how I view certain things like I got really into astronomy and history after. Crazy sh** lol but I’m hoping mirage is a lot more like this one 🫰
Thank God... This is a great ending to Ezio and Altair's story
AC wasn’t ever supposed to be a thing period. They were making another Prince of Persia game and I think it felt too different or something and they changed it
Its funny how this game that was never ment to be would become the game with the best story in the whole franchise. Who knows maybe mirage could do something similar given that it wasnt ment to be its own game at first
Heres a fact you probably didnt know.
Nothing that exists was meant to exist. Until someone decided to make it

Revelations and AC3 are my favorite of the Assassins Creed games.
Revelations is the worst of the Ezio Saga, but overall, I would put it in number 6.
My list is
1. AC II
2. AC Brotherhood
3. AC Black Flag
4. AC Origins
5. AC Unity (with no bugs, with bugs Unity would be in number 8)
6. AC Revelations
7. OG AC (very boring and repetitive but started the series)
8. AC Valhalla
9. AC III
10. AC Rogue
11. AC Syndicate
XXX. AC Mirage and Odyssey (I have not played them yet. I will update when I have played)
Brotherhood wasn't either. Thank Ubisoft for milking AC2...thankfully all three were masterpieces
I was thinking, if we could join AC2 missions, music, vibes and plots (25 years of Ezio) with Brotherhood villains, scenes, game flow, missions and side mission (Leonardo’s ones were lit) with Revelations parkour, bombs, Altair flashbacks and Sofia (🔥) it would be the perfect game 10000/10
Funny because Revelations is actually my favorite in the series 😂
If you think Valhala fixed anything from Origins, then you might want to replay origins.
One thing Origins did first and it is WRONG and will continue to be wrong was put LORE BEHIND A PAID WALL. That was one of the MANY reasons I stop playing any games from this Franchise.
They have continue to prove, they care more about profits than the product and their fans. Since I don't spend my money on companies that show loyalty nor pride in their products. Ubisoft is in the same basket with Garbage Greedy Companies like EA and Bungie.
