Witch hazel on a cotton pad should kinda help, laying in bed with no underwear and legs open helps the pain too. sorry your going through this hope some of these tips help. I’m not a dr but I’ve been suffering w this for awhile and these are stuff I do at home that help for the time being.
@@fab956 either part of the fissurectomy when they cauterized the wound, or the chemodenervation of the muscle, I’m not sure. I just know it was done and I know it was extremely helpful in terms of pain and healing. All under anesthesia ofc
It is a horrible and long lasting pain. I couldn’t understand why the BM itself was already easier (After lots of softeners), but the pain will develop in an hour and seemed endless, making me literally cry every day. I read about a levator ani syndrome, which describes a muscle pain, but not sure if this is the muscle mentioned in this video. Is it the same one, Dr. Chung? And how is it injured usually? Just want to know what movement to be careful with. Thank you!
@@hardeoganness9505 well, I treated my hemorrhoids, first of all, with pranicura cream from Dr Chung. Maybe that part helped the muscle, too. Every time after eliminating, I wash myself and seat in a warm/hot water for 10 min. Then dry and apply pranicura. Then, I do kegel exercises for 5minutes only two times a day (lots on RUclips- just make sure contracting muscles with exhale and relaxing them with inhale). Like Dr Chung says in one of his videos, concentrating on relaxing muscles - the skill which should be used during elimination. Now, when eliminating, I breathe deeply and let the BM happen really trying not to interrupt breathing and not to contract the anus. Also, I need to bend forward a little bit as our colon has a little curve there and I try to “straighten” the path :). Of, course, I eat lots of papaya and beets, blueberries and other veggies, drink carrot and beet juices and try to drink more water. If the stool is not soft, pushing and forcing the muscle to injure is inevitable. Gotta do this for quite a while to retrain the body. Sometimes, I’d put pain relief pads, sometimes I apply castor oil. Weird, different things help at different times, but I found castor oil very helpful for me (just apply onto skin and massage a bit with my hand in a glove, and put a pad or something not to spoil the clothes). Also, I’m looking into a biofeedback training - when they retrain your brain connection with muscle. Haven’t done it yet, but looking into that. I hope this helps!
I just had a rectal scope done and he said I have a mostly healed anal fissure somewhere in the middle of my anal canal. However, when it wasn’t healed, it felt like I was pooping glass and it would hurt easily for 12 hours afterwards.

@@dennisyoung4631I’d try using the cream that this doctor sells Pranicura. It uses menthol and is a serious cooling agent for your butthole. It probably won’t heal anything, but it’ll definitely make you feel a little better, especially after sustaining an injury.
i don’t have pain during BM but the pain increases by the minute after BM and lasts for hours. there is a bump that is super sore from the fissure, its that bump that hurts. anyone else?
I have the exact same situation , a small bump from the fissure pain over 3 weeks and re tearing on and off during bowel movements. It feels like a never ending battle. How have you been now
That’s probably a thrombosed vein that’s blocked up due to the swelling around your fissure. The best thing I can recommend to you is to limit your food intake and frequency of eating. And also take some Miralax once a day. You need to give this fissure a chance to heal…like at least three months of not breaking open. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to start using Pranicura that this doctor sells. I started using it about six months ago, and it’s a very intense cooling creme. It might help reduce the swelling in that vein.

If the doctor can see the fissure and external hemorrhoidal skin tag, can they assume it's just the fissure if I don't have pain, or very little sometimes, during defecation, but have a stinging sensation on and off, usually most of the day?
