- Come join me on a wildlife quest to spot Britain’s largest bird of prey - the elusive White-tailed Sea Eagle - recently sighted near the Swale Nature Reserve! News spread quickly in the birding world of this iconic raptor and I'm on a mission to find it.
Sure enough, the Swale doesn’t disappoint- but it’s something else that catches my eye… Животные
Fabulous place and fabulous video! Thoroughly enjoyed it, learned a lot, and loved the stoat pic popping up to tell us what was in the grass! The bird illustrations you also pop up are helpful for ID too. Great idea.
Haha thanks! The stoat was hilarious but very sweet! Let me know any ideas for the future & see you out there !
Love your work Chris. Can’t wait to see you on BBC
Maybe one day… 😉
I love those amazing days in photography. They are the best. My eagle and owl nesting season starts soon in my region of eastern USA. I can't wait.
It’s nice to get lucky once in a while! You guys are so lucky to have so many big birds of prey
I love raptors all the species ❤❤❤Thanks for sharing this amazing experience with wildlife...
My pleasure. Glad I can share
Brilliant watch, disgusting game keepers, they have no idea, lovely filming. 👍
Going to do a video about the data / numbers at some stage. Disgraceful isn’t it
My new favourite channel ❤
Far too kind! Glad you like it
Super !
Really great stuff! Fun to watch! Thanks for taking me along!
Thanks Randy! Glad you enjoyed. Stick around - having some help with video so should get a bit better 🤞
the stoat looked like Ermine, all i could was black and white
You’re probably right. Really cool!
Brilliant watch
Glad you enjoyed Levi! Your neck of the woods soon….
Great photography
Cheers Tony! Still getting the hang of video
Cracking vid! Keep up the good work...
Thanks Felix. See you out there soon!
I am a liitle confused, because I see so many hen harriers from british youtubers. In northern germany the hen harrier is very common in wintertime. Is it really one of rarest birds of prey in Britain? The footage is really cool. The peregrine falcon was so cool as well. Greets Stefan
They are SO rare here ! They were hunted basically to extinction but they’ve bounced back slightly. Most of them are still up in Scotland; Orkney & Shetland but down south it’s pretty much the rarest bird of prey (other than Montague’s Harriet) cheers!
@@ChrisGoesWild Do you talk about breeding population or winter guests? In germany they do not breed. They only stay for winter. In winter time they are very common here. I thought it is similar to britain
Ours stay here, although in winter they move south to follow the food. Unfortunately we don’t get any consistent visitors :(
@@stefangoldensteinwildlife9929 You probably get a lot of Russian and Scandi birds overwintering.
Amazing footage.👏👏. Just found your channel and looking forward to more 👍
Thanks Gary! Still getting the hang of this video stuff but any tips and ideas are much appreciated. 👍
Same here loving the cigar smoking 😂
What were the 2 birds at about 11mins, were they hen harriers again or buzzards, would be useful for novices like me to have you put it on the video somehow
Marsh Harriers! I should have said. Great idea - I’ll change that for the next one 👍
Peregrine showing off in front of the buzzard
Is stout a relative of weasel?
Yes very close relatives 👍
Great content and what a gem of a find. Loving these videos, great presentation 🦅
Thanks Ricky! Glad you enjoyed. Just getting used to the logistics and taking stock when I get lucky
@ChrisGoesWild I'm sure as a Senior in your field you'll have a good Account of how to get to grips with things.
10:48 Were those coot?
Yep! And a curlew too
Have you Tried a Nikon P1000?.... It has 3000mm...its good for filming...not so good for a Picture!... Nice Finds!...
Hey Terry! No not yet, still getting the hang of this filming malarkey… it’s all alien to me 👍
Weasel?
Very possibly. I thought stoat but no expert !
Harriers and bitterns are so rare these days because people don't think coastal marshlands are worth conserving
Sad state of affairs. Marshland seems to be so difficult to get back !
Exactly. Then once ruined, there's more flooding and they blame 'climate change'. Any land like this, and basically scrub land, is all being build on
For god sake please kill that incessant music, you have an excellent channel here and it’s totally spoilt by this so called music, it’s not needed, it’s not necessary, please do away with it, thanks John.
Cheers John! Duly noted
