I'm going to implement these, espeically appreciate the points when training/exercising for my weightlifting/bodybuilding. I always get neck tension after pushing myself with weights and cardio. Thanks Zac, your content is great 👍
Thanks for the point. I have always thought about the link between Neck pain and Oxygen. And in fact, I believe deep breathing helps any muscular pain in general and not just neck or shoulders.
Hey, thanks for making such accessible videos! I have EDS and convergence insufficiency (that Bill Hartman totally identified from my upper back tension patterns because he's a madman lol) and this video is so helpful! I'm an ex massage therapist and I couldn't quite follow Bill's videos because of my lack of kinesiology training. I'm better with my corrective exercises when I understand what's going on. Thank you thank you!
Heck yes. Keep preaching the gospel. People are SO addicted to feeling guilty about not stretching and always tell me they know they have to stretch more. I don't know where people get this but it needs to end.
Zac can you help me understand prisms? My therapist doesn't want to look at sensory just yet but I went and got prisms on my own. I was given 3 to the left and 1 down. Testing shows I converge through. I mentioned to my therapist how when I'm outside I can feel my body release and my arms start swinging on their own. I asked if we could try prisms the opposite of converge but he kept saying it's not going to make a difference. I didn't want to argue with him so I let it go but do you know which way prisms should be to help open everything up? I am a right torsion, and maybe the optometrist gave me prisms to open my left field of vision but to help remove tension I might need to open the space up like I'm outside. You can buy them real cheap online. I even went back to the eye DR and asked to try them but they didn't understand, they said I don't need them.

@@BigPob Interesting and I appreciate the feedback. I really try to explain why I give exercises because it outlines the thought process behind what I do with patients and clients, as opposed to just saying "do this exercise." Why would you believe me? There is no monitization minimum for RUclips, hence why they now monitize shorts. Mid rolls (which is a bit extra) start at 8 minutes to my knowledge. You'll actually see quite a few of my most recent videos are under that timeframe. If you look at my older content, this is actually quite a bit less time. My older videos were 20-60 minutes long, which has much more monitization potential. So with that in mind and that information, I don't really see how I would be producing content just to get monitized. I basically have a full time job outside of this, so definitely couldn't be living off of adsense ;)
Great explanation, I can't believe almost no one looks at neck pain in this way.
Thank you so much!
Loving this new format Zac. Learning a ton 😀
Glad to hear it!
Thank you Zack! Your content has been of great help 🙌🏾

Hey Zac! Is it possible for throat muscles to get tight? If so how can this be addressed? Is it related to neck stuff at all?
Yes it is! I’d look at some of the tongue movements in this vid - m.ruclips.net/video/23JOPITn-gI/видео.html

How can you tell if you have neck pain or referred neck pain (from actual trap pain)?
Best to get evaluated by a provider
This is not enough I really need helpful exercises against chronic neck pain it comes from deep down the body
Chronic pain can definitely be a tough thing that requires a unique approach. Might be best to work with someone
I didnt know Johnny Sins knows this much about necks as well, glad I found this channel
