    Very cool tool. Absolutely ideal for the elderly, for everyone really. I might have to get one for Mum. 🙏🏾👍🏾😎🤙🏾

    it seems to be a bit on the heavy side, especially if you want to give it to older people
    that's why I bought that tool from the brand "Worx" with a small battery, very lightweight, not as powerful, but good enough and still loads stronger than the "makita style battery" version of this tool
    Bosch does have one of these in their lineup, or they did, I can't find much about it anywhere and it propably never was sold in europe due to safety concerns
    you can cut your finger off way too easily with this thing, but these things can cut stuff that even a professional gardener would seriously struggle with and they would have to use a saw

    👍👍👍👍👍👌Looks like a great tool similar to my hand unit in the blade design which I probably over use and ended up with hand fatigue

    Very well done video, would like to see at what point it would fail ie. Thickness of timber.

    Wish they would make the round ADJUSTABLE extension for this. The square extension just doesn't have the infinite settings.Sometimes you want 3 ft, or 4 ft, 5 or 6 ft.

    I have the Tovia version of this trimmer. It’s identical, just the name difference. It’s expensive but its the largest diameter cutter on the market at 43mm. And I can assure you you’ll need that diameter cutter.
    As previously said: the battery lasts for ages but the blades don’t. Hard to believe how cutting wood can wear down a steel blade.
    I’ve been cutting back my Laurel and conifer branches. It’s wonderful! Just don’t cut your fingers off. There’s no going back once you press that darn trigger! Buy buy buy!

    I saw there was an adapter for Makita 18V batteries available. Makes me wonder about the 25V stated. Could you do us a favor and measure the voltage on a fully charged Kebtek battery? Or measure the battery dimensions so we could estimate if there is five or six cells in there.

    Nice functioning tool. I worry about the batteries in these off brand products. It is quite expensive for something that might become useless in a year or two if the battery fails, or even worse is that they might not continue to make the product/battery at all. Even in advertised Black Friday sale it is $200, which is much more than I was expecting.

    • @ccbowers
      @ccbowers 2 года назад

      And that price seems to be without the extension

      I have the smaller 25mm version - thing is a beast. Batteries last a long time (well over a thousand cuts per charge per battery - essentially you will never run out of battery). Comes with two batteries, charger, case, tools (but no blades). Blade is tough - no nicks despite thousands of cuts. It's about US$120 and worth every penny if you do any serious pruning. My Felcos were $80 and now gather dust.
      I'll probably buy the larger version with the extension pole. I have pole saws and pole chain saws but they are heavy, cumbersome and leave jagged cuts. The larger version is perfect for most palm fronds.

    Pity it is 25v (probably an 18v [20v if they are quoting fully charged battery] tool with an extra cell). Quite a high price but like most manfs they make their money off selling additional batteries. I like the 40mm cut though.

    Well I have 3 different types of pruners . They are the milwaukee the ryobi and the Kebtek . The Kebtek are definitely the best . The ryobi are ok . The milwaukee are the worst. The milwaukee just does not have the power they suck .

    • @ex8280
      @ex8280 Год назад

      pole saw is the only solution. The one that probably does the widest diameter that' i've heard of is the new milwaukee m12 pruner which does up to 2 inches, but it lacks the length feature of this one.

      I was just looking at this on Amazon, but was shocked by the insane price.
      But then, in scrolling around, I found the exact same kit, just under a different name.
      Literally, 1/2 the price for the same thing.

    I mean really. People going to buy these to trim their roses? LOL. I just ordered the Dewalt since I have lots of batteries. I'm looking forward to the safety I'll enjoy at the top of my orchard ladders not having to use 2 hands on the big loppers taking care of the fruit trees.
