  • This Tovia 40mm (1.57 in) brush shear is amazing for your landscaping jobs. With an extension to reach high branches it makes it a breeze. No fumes from gas power and very satisfying to operate. I enjoyed using this pruner and hope you will too. Some of the links below help out the channel. Thanks

      I really enjoy using the Tovia for trimming. Its so satisfying to use it. The olive is tough but when I use it on the oak tree that one feels harder. Overall its such a fun toy to use and the battery last so long too. Thanks

    Thanks again for your response and info. The only other things I've wondered about are the warranty and whether it has replacement blades for when the factory blade gets dull. Thanks again !

      Hi it comes with one extra blade and you can also buy them on Amazon if needed. You know I havent checked the warranty but I will contact them to see what they say.

    Great video thank's . But an important question: What grade steel are the blades ? It does not say anywhere in the description.

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  Год назад +3

      Hello as far as I know it comes with SK5 high-carbon steel blades as per the manufacture. I have cut a lot and seems to be holding up very well so far. I look forward to using it all the time specially for my robellini palms. Having the extension I can cut higher and not get pinched like I used to get. Its so satisfying to use you can spend all day cutting branches. Thank you

    Have you made any comparison with the Kebtek Pruner or the Ryobi cordless Lopper ? Nice video. Thanks !

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  Год назад +2

      Hello the Kebtek is the same thing with a different name and specs are the same. As far as the Ryobi it only has 1 cutting capability but does have a longer pole of 9 ft. instead of 7 ft. I do have the Fiskar 14 ft pruner for longer cutting. This Tovia is fantastic and so much fun to use. Before purchasing I did research and for my trees this one was the one and I am very happy I purchased. If you own Ryobi product then it might be a good addition to your tools to have. I do like the fact you can angle the Ryobi for angle cutting. Thank you

    • @jackdraper2849
      @jackdraper2849 Год назад

      @@ExtremDIY Can you tell me what you mean when you say the Ryobi only has 1 cutting capability. I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'm looking for what can cut the widest limb. And it looks like the Tovia possibly has a wider cutting capacity than the Ryobi. Is that true ? -- If your blade gets dull on the Tovia -- can you get a blade replacement ? -- I just noticed that a Dewalt cordless pruner has a blade replacement. -- Does the Tovia have a good warranty ? Thanks for your response.

      @@jackdraper2849 Hello sorry I meant 1 1/4 inch of max cut with 9 ft total length for the pruner. Its a bit pricy for me since the tool only is $250 at Homedepot. The Tovia is 7 ft long and cuts up to 1.57 inches. Although the Tovia can cut softer palm fronds at 1.57 inches but for harder branches it can do around 1.4 inches depending on how hard the tree is. For the higher cuts I use the Fiskars 16 ft pruner which cuts 1 1/4 inches and its $79 at Homedepot here is the link homedepot.sjv.io/Vy7y6O. It all depends on your needs. I do like the fact the Ryobi can tilt the blade. Let me know if you have any questions.
