Even if this can't really be considered doable, I decided to release the footage anyways since so many of you keep asking me if there is a way to reach the very top of Glass!
I am working on speeding this up making it human viable!

Here's the scenario:
You wake up, didn't get enough sleep. Traffic was bad, and the nearest parking spot was 3 city blocks from the office building you are employed at. You are tired.
You take the elevator to your floor, the archetecture firm, almost immediately encountering your boss. She seems cheery, and nonchalantly assigns you to a new project, a huge project that'll net millions for the firm, a slim hourly wage for you, little more than an intern.
You crawl into your office, collapse into your chair. What is this day turning into? You slowly lean forward, rubbing your temples, eyes scrunching before dragging open to look out the window, to see that gorgeous view, the one thing about your job that keeps you going...

Crouched, hands rubbing against the glass, wiggling slightly, looking tired and kind of impatient. Just floating. At like, 0 mph. You watch for a solid 30 minutes before they're gone.

it depends what way you look at it, if you mean 90' from a horizontal line, yes, that is vertical but if you say 180 from a horizontal line, no that is still the same thing......either that or i'm probably wrong

Usable ladders are there probably because the developers got plans for something to happen in-game at the very top but went against it in the end and blocked the entire section altogether.
Or perhaps they simply copypasted one of the lower sections.

I heard there's is one mission that you go to the summit, maybe because of that?
Maybe they intended the building to be climbable in free roam, but changed their mind because of time?

This game looks great and all but the fact that you can’t get up there unless you’re using exploits really says something. A game about parkour and freerunning where you can climb nearly anything in an open world doesn’t openly allow you to climb the TALLEST building in the game? Isn’t that what everyone would want to do?
It isnt the tallest tower, there is a building called the shard that is like 2 km high or something, and you can get very close to where he is in a fully intentional mission

when you slip off and climb back on i get a anxiety attack every time
Maybe this was intended to be in-bounds but they changed it mid-development, hence the usable ladders and solid objects here and there.
I think that the ladder entities are all usable, so nobody bothered changing it to an untouchable prop when they set up the scene up there, cause nobody thought somebody would actually get up there. As you're building a scene like this one, you are given the assets and manipulate them as you want, but you aren't given the option list in order to make them not usable.
and they also make the world so that you can view it without glitches when you're in the game's "bounds". So at the top, you can see all the game's inner cogs and wheels

I never understood the logic of these surfaces in action games, where on our character moves on his own, against our will. Still we can control it here.
4:29 I'm convinced they had a dlc or a bigger map in mind. Even after so much time since the release, I'm hoping they continue with the series. Can't even imagine what it could look like with the tech we have now. And I think the story is really good.

Love both the mirrors edge games. The style and lush music and atmosphere are great and remind me a lot of my travels in Hong Kong a few years ago hiking alone up to the top of lion rock and looking across to the peak and down on the city below.
