I did
On ps4, open doors normally using X. Also, do a backflip. Whilst hanging on a bar, move the left trigger backward and then jump. It's pretty cool.
On ps4 I use triangle to kick open doors

1.) standard opening
2.) kick, oop wait a minute * steals computer chip * thats mine now
3.) normal way
You can actually backflip from the top of a ladder of a pipe. Its pretty hard to do, though. Since you have to press crouch and jump at the EXACT same time. (Press either button a millisecond before the other, and it doesn't work.)
Edit: you can't do it if you have coil, though. Since it'll just cancel the flip and do a coil instead
Sad this game was badly received , bought it for £5 and love it. Don’t know why the open world was so hated, it adds a more enjoyable progression system for me and allows these tricks to happen being able to explore at your own pace and practice or come up with parkour moves using the amazing controls. Mirror edge catalyst is what a parkour game aiming to be similar to real life should be, with a futuristic take. And for 2016, damn the graphics hold up (just maybe not on your pc)

At 3:23 theres a spot near the club where you can hear the music better. If i remember correctly, it should be on some metal beams above some kind of big ac tower, the walls are either yellow or orange. I think one of the walls had a door.
Years later and the ambience and music in ME:Catalyst is some of the best
i still dont get why they made the Over the spine and head roll the main one she does. yes i know its a game but i freerun daily and it hurts my spine every time i do it in this game

agreed. and well iv been doing it since 14 and im 21 atm so id like to think of my self as a Runner. and i get that finding groups that do it are rare i was lucky enough to learn and do it with a childhood friend of mine and sister

I know what you mean it wasn't until I saw a comparison video of Mirror's Edge 2008 and Catalyst that I realized that they were actually the same just Catalyst was cleaner then it made me start wondering why they kept it and made it look like it even moved less but then I realized I think the reason they have that roll is so that the character could still see Faith's body while rolling so they wouldn't get motion sick.

Whenever you are balancing. Hold crouch, then wait a third of a second, pull back on the left stick than jump. You will perform a backflip.

If you start a slide before going upstairs and then roll, she'll roll up the stairs. With an "ow" or two
When animation swapping ever becomes possible, someone should swap the skill roll anim w/ the better crouch roll.
8 years later, I'm still hoping a modder would swap the skill roll animation with the crouch roll's.
