      He's been casting Brood War for almost 3 years now and doesn't know VERY basic things. If you've been teaching math for 3 years and you don't know 5+5 this means you are a fool. This caster is a literal FOOL and he's just filling a niche in Brood War casts on youtube to get a bit of extra money.

    here is why Bisu lost, although he did a great job at taking out Light's main original base, he had to use a lot of minerals constantly attacking Light's well defended new main base, Light is already running on 3 bases while Bisu was running on 1 full base and 1 nearly mined out base, and plus, due to the favorable terrain and range of tanks, Light could have eventually have taken at the 12 o'clock position, this is similar to how Firebathero beat Savior even though savior seemed to have the clear advantage

      And of course, this doesn't mean Terran is a unfair race, although I still to believe vultures should cost 100 minerals than just 75. Other than that, it is fair, it's just that it's very defensive in nature and protoss and zerg has much better offensive units like dragoons and zeolots or zerg's ultralisks lurker and zergling army which is so much more mobile than terran's goliath and tanks, it's that zerg and protoss has to abuse map control, it's like a big dude with slow speed and high stamina vs small dude with fast speed and low stamina, it's like one mistake on small guy it's all over but it is still fair in a way

    • @aoeu256
      @aoeu256 6 лет назад +1

      Vultures at 75 are too good in TvT, so no one ever builds infantry, however, at 100 minerals no one would use Vultures in TvZ since they are raped by Hydralisks, and the TvP matchup which already in the Protoss favor would be even more in the Protoss favor. If Vultures are returned to 100 minerals, I think Vultures should get armor to make them stronger against Hydralisks and Zealots. Storm is too good against Infantry.
      Hmm, SC2's armor and attack system gives more leeway to balance units for all three matchups...

    Bro, keep going!
    There are many reasons why (and what kind of) people are watching SC games. Yeah, you may not be on the top level of understanding all the sneaky details in the matches, but... Pro players already know what is going on, and for non-pro players, amateurs (like me), there are other aspects of the video.
    I'm really enjoying the game from my childhood and, which is more important, your funny, full of life and enthusiasm comments! When you said: "there are no better room than room for breathing" I was laughing so hard.
    And again, your videos are great for enjoying SC, listening to live and nice english speech with emotions and clean pronunciation!

    5 mineral base left, Light got 3 big base, 12 O'clock base denied by Light, 9 O'clock base have half mineral. Bisu gamble with his recall drop but everytime he recall his army got smaller while Light remain strong 100 unit. Last recall made Bisu supply down to 90. This is why you dont use recall at the same base, your army will face strong resistance if recall was predic.

    Bisu called the GG due to only mining minerals from one base and no gas at all. That last recall was his last play with nothing to fall back on, compared to light who was mining from three bases and two gas he can still recover from that attack and push to end the game.

    4:23 Not a pro, but I use some Bio in TvP, but it's limited because Reavers + Psy Storms can wipe them out easily. Two great uses are:
    - Drops: 12 Marines + 4 Medics (2 dropships). 12 Stim'd Marines have the equivalent DPS of 10 Siege'd Tanks and they clear out expansions pretty quickly. If you had brought 10 tanks, that'd be 5 dropships compared to 2.
    - Protecting Tanks: keep a control group of Marines + a few medics behind your Tanks to clear out threats that manage to break through your Vultures + Mines. Stim'd Bio tears up Zealots and Dragoons, especially if the Protoss units have already taken damage.

  • @samyargo9752
    @samyargo9752 5 лет назад +2

    I think me and Bisu agree; it would be harder and harder for him to expand(with very few places to expand to that weren't already tapped), and Light essentially had three fresh bases, and Terran benefits more from upgrades; Toss was mining out, and it would be another 15 mins for him to win, assuming he was going to win, those last rounds of recalls were increasingly inefficient, and Light was improving his position and composition with each battle. Terran was a few production facilities away from being full macro mode and already had all his essential research.
    I think he tapped out cuz it just wasn't worth it to maybe not even win.

    Sinceramente no sé de que te sorprendes, yo sí me imaginaba que Bisu haría GG al ver la durabilidad y consistencia de Light. Bisu podía atacar todo lo que quería pero eventualmente se le acababan los recursos y las bases, mientras que Light seguía consiguiendo recursos y recuperándose. Me hubiese gustado ver a Light destruyendole todo pero Bisu arrugo a ese hecho y fue adelantando su GG nomas.

    funny that in 2019 the most anticipated and sucessfull games are old old OLD evergreens remastered. hype for classic wow, starcraft scene rejuvenated with starcraft 1 and even the current wow is a game devised 15 years ago. Even newer games like Stardew valley, minecraft, terraria. All of those have simple pixelated graphics and look like old games basing their sucess on gameplay and not looks.
    If that doesnt convince you modern gaming is shit nothing will boy.

    Kind of hilarious to see light? mining from those three mineral patches for so long.

  • @detrockcity3
    @detrockcity3 5 лет назад

    Falcon, that was Bisu's final charge. If he couldn't totally break that Light turtle-up in the remaining mineral rich corner of the map (masterful) in like 5 minutes, Light would quickly out-strip him. Using the repeated recalls was the best way to go about this by far, but he just barely didn't do enough damage to end it. Light would've been safe in 5 minutes and taking the rest of the resources/attacking in 10. Mayyyyybe the gg was a little premature, but his prospects WERE diminishing by the time he had to make the (probably correct) call.
    So Light's sneaky bases, which ended up discovered very late (whether because of positioning, army harassment, or some combination thereof) gave him the resource footing to put himself ahead (via the implications of the "new home"-nearly invincible (Bisu came damn close) and centrally close proximity to 2 active and 2 potential barely tapped bases-and all that he consolidated there materially-armies and buildings-and financially) relatively quickly after devastating losses in production complex.
    I guess Bisu could've tried to contain with those forces and claim those resources himself, but I don't think he'd survive a straight Light push-out, and so maybe that would've been wise pre-recall bait then. Hard to second-guess these guys...great game/cast.

  • @QuestionableObject

    I don't think Bisu realized that Light had relocated, they spent so much time killing abandoned structures around their original base.
    Light had so much fresh resources and had turtled up around it all, I think Light just planned to out-mine Bisu with all the fresh bases in the top left corners while Bisu's bases were almost all completely mined out and he was struggling to trade effectively into the massive tank-turtle.
    Or maybe Bisu just got bored of fighting turtling terran and tapped out cause fuck that noise lmao.

      @@FalconPaladin
      In my experience it's not uncommon for Terrans having a bad day to float their structures and hide them on the map to waste time. That's why I think Bisu spent so much time killing abandoned turrets that were no threat to him, to force an annihilation victory which unfortunately for him gave Light heaps of time to build up again after relocating.
      It's quite a frustrating tactic and Terrans will even do it in competitive tournament games to force a draw in very close games where resources are stretched thin, something I think is in extremely poor taste, but Blizzard, and other tourny holders, allows it so what do I know.

  • @obesechicken13

    It's hard to break an entrenched terran player. If stasis could't do it, I wonder if recall on the army might've worked. Goliaths make it risky though :/ Dunno if spider mines count as units on the end game board.

    The thing is: (sorry for bad english)
    in a late game in StarCraft 1 like this, the most bases without minerals are not important anymore, so it totally fine for light that bisu takes out his main base, becuz light can just rebuild everything he want.
    you are not a bad commentator ;), but there are somethings you are missing:
    1. after bisu loses his supply advantage, light is clear in advantage (at least in this world top level), because bisu cant do anything against terran's sicence vessels!! so it makes protoss's cloaked units useless!! bisu misses the chance to find a way to find a unit against the vessels. I though about scouts or (sneaky) carriers, but since light has upgraded anti-air units and bisu does not upgraded his air units, it makes hard to play against vessels with protoss.
    2. after bisu cleared lights main base, watch carefully on the minimap (at minues 34)! it doesnt important how good the map controll is, light has got 4 active bases with minerals at 9, 2x11, and a hidden one at 6 o'clock positions while bisu only got 3 on 2x12 and 1... and the base on 12 is not protected!! so light is clearly on advantage!
    3. at the end, bisu is running out of supplys, he doesnt have any active bases anymore... he MUST kill anything from light which didnt happend...
    Hope it helps you ;)

    In Starcraft you have one race that has an advantage over the other.
    In PvT, Protoss has the upper hand with tier 1 thanks to the Dragoons' high attack power thus Terran players need to go to Tier 2 units/upgrades for a fighting chance.
    In TvZ, Terran has the upper hand with Tier 1 thank to the marine medic and firebat combo, making Zerg tech to Tier 2 units like Mutalisks and Lurkers to fight that off.
    In PvZ, Zerg has that because of the high DPS of Hyrdralisks that kills slow Zealots and even eats through Dragoons when in numbers making Protoss tech up to Tier 2 units like Corsair, Archons and get Zealot speed. Hope this helped!

Before recording, just watch the first few minutes of the game and check with Liquidpedia to see what build order they used, the objective of that build order, what the build order counters and what are the counters to the build order, etc.

    Transition to carriers for the win. Terran had little to no anti-air.

    • @Dornatum
      @Dornatum 6 лет назад

      Kaitn13 Rain wouldve definitely went for that. I think Bisu's weakness is his lack of use of carriers when the time calls for it

    • @Kriegerdammerung
      @Kriegerdammerung 6 лет назад +3

      Terran had little anti-air yes, but any competent Terran commander can mass enough Goliaths in due time. Raynor had a last resort plan of convoking thousands of Goliaths if Mengsk isolated him in a planet, and Mengsk knew it well hence, in the long run, Raynor kept on escaping.

    • @zariumsheridan3488
      @zariumsheridan3488 6 лет назад

      Yeah, carriers and/or corsairs with the web. if the terran is digging in with so many turrets - it calls for at least several carriers to harass him. Recalls were very impressive though. They are pretty easy to keep alive too and forces the terran to build more goliaths than tanks or vultures and those are easier to deal with using dragoons and zealots.

    • @jibbiddy
      @jibbiddy 5 лет назад +1

      @Darkzz Lord I'm laughing so hard. Also, doing a carrier switch mid-game means you have to sink huge resources into tech for your carriers. That means less units in the game, which means that the push out of Light would have been more effective.

    Honestly, PvT really isn't balanced. It heavily favors Terran at all stages. Throughout the midgame, T can survive on 3 bases forever. Then, all they have to do is outlast, since late game protoss is super expensive. If you look at units lost versus resources spent, it tells you everything you need to know. Protoss spent about 25% more in resources and had 25% fewer units. Late game T is extremely cost efficient.

    That was expected from Bisu,
    Though he was the one to be more aggressive in the game, there's no way he could do that, which would not cost from him much (From his supplies and minerals) ...
    what Light was doing was a clever defense tactic.
    He rather used his tank for defenses as he acquried more and efficient minerals by shifting his bases to the top, while remaining much of his tank units alive. However, Bisu's offense attacks also cost his units to die more easily and less cost-efficient, as it is more favored for the sage tanks to be destroyed his dragoons on their own base.
    Good Game Well played for Light there... (Y)

      BW cannot rival sc2 in popularity? You are kind of joking I guess.
      What about...
      ... hours played ?
      ... active users ?
      ... ELO ?
      ... played in number of countrys ?
      ... LAN games ?
      ... Offline gaming ?
      ... playing on older machines and netbooks ?
      Yes in Europe and US they tried to get it where bw was... but that's it.
      Look at Korea, China, France, Poland, Russia and many others.
      Yes you would not find the big LAN partys on Liquipedia but they exist.
      Same with most of the other things I mentioned...
      Even african people studying in germany had bw on there machines with them.
      So money, movies and graphics alone doesn't make a very good game.
      SC 2 is played like C-n-C was. That is good enough to sell many copies,
      but never close to a legendary game like sc1 and bw.
      Don't get me wrong.
      I like SC2 for the movies, the storys and all the crazy replays out there.
      It gave us HuskyStarcraft, Day9, Carbot and Liquipedia. It send us ideas of
      units we've not known we missed them in bw. Also Coop Commanders and
      Archon mode would have added nice times to our old beloved wild friend...
      BUT it was not a second part of StarCraft 1 nor Broodwar.
      It is a Cinematic throw your trash units against your opponent and click as fast
      as possible to stay alive while you are raped, rushed and ruined with free units.
      Nice to look at while not very deep in strategy.
      It is like checkers versus chess if you try to compare them.
      So please don't.
