He's always cupped the mic, it's a safe haven for him. Great breakdown of a underrated Pearl Jam song. Nothing as it seems by Pearl Jam would be a great breakdown for you
Ed's always had a relationship with his mic stand. I used to say I wanted to be his mic stand In my next life 🤣 On a serious note, Ed's voice is like a blanket on a cold day. So soothing to the soul.
Gracias Eddie por existir y tener la generosidad de compartir todo tu corazón y alma con tu voz. Tantos años "juntos" y me erizas la piel como el primer dia. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Love this song a very emotional song but always beautiful and full of passion when Eddie sings it!! Pearl Jam is my favorite band on this earth, thank you for reacting to them!! 😊💓🤘✌️
I'm back rewatching. I got to hear this song live in Nashville last September..ahh it sounded beautiful! 😍 I want to say about Ed...you mentioned how vocalists power on. He really does. He had stomach pain/food poisoning last May in Fresno and still did the show. You could tell he was struggling and hurting big time, but Ed will do anything to avoid canceling. He is so dedicated to the fans. We just adore and appreciate him so much. I look forward to your next Pearl Jam reaction.
Ha I got to see pearl jam way back on their first tour of Australia. They sold out venues in like 3 minutes. But we went to listen outside on the day & they opened up the very back rows of seats & gave out wrist bands which got you in. Our whole group got one. I'm 6'1 & couldn't stand up ha. But everyone ran & jumped the fence to the pit so we ended up at the front on kinda the stage. It was magical. 1996. Omg I'm auld as the hills. Oh yes that's how he holds the mic, I use it to push my upper lip up a bit too. But I only sing for fun. Eddie has done this for 30 years
Hey Ken, would u plz do a reaction video to Pearl Jam’s “Release Me” live in Holland in 1992? I think u will be BLOWN AWAY from this performance!😉 would so appreciate ur take on it…
What an interesting version of this song! I missed the weird, almost dissonant harmonies from the album version, but it was neat listening to him pick and choose from the various vocal lines in the last couple of choruses.
Hello Ken...did you ever heard of Dan Vasc? His covers are amazing and he sings great. He made latly a cover of "angels wehave heard on high" love this song anyways but his version is breath taking in my opnion. Thank you for sharing enyoing music so mucb. Greatings from Germany.
Great review!😊 Haven't listened to these guys in a good many years...I enjoyed the review. As for suggestions...Home Free's cover of MayDay. Several surprises in that one.😉 Happy New Year.
Ken Ken Ken! Love your reactions and love Eddie! While you’re back in the grunge genre how about 1 more I keep bugging you for. Maybe I should switch from bugging to begging 😂 Can u pretty please react to Chris Cornell ‘When I’m Down’ live at the Troubadour? My favorite live performance from my favorite artist. Just him and a piano player, very bluesy…goosebumps and chills promised! 🙂🙏
Ok, Mr. Ken, as a fellow Canadian (Ontario, South), I'm invoking the bond of Maple Syrup, and Imploring you to review Diamanda Galas' performance of Skotoseme, as performed on The John Stewart Show, 1994, featuring John Paul Jones. She's a vocal acrobat with a six octave range, and I want to know how it is that she can make such sounds. Hopefully, the bonds of Maple Syrup will compel you! Best! J
Ken, when you said "Crikey on a cracker" you reminded me so damn strongly of Conan O'Brien..in some looks too. You wouldn't be related would you be laddie? 🥰
These reaction videos are so interesting. I feel like I learn something new about music with each one! A few suggestions if you're interested: Drunken Sailor - MALINDA ft. Bobby Waters My Jolly Sailor Bold - Rachel Hardy & Colm McGuinness Song of Durin (Complete Edition) - Clamavi De Profundis
I've found that certain American accents lend themselves to the replacement of almost every vowel with a sound like "air" or "aer". The sound is squeezed up with the tongue into the palette and voila... Yaer-air-n'air-mair-air-cairn!
eddie wrote thing song 18 years before this performance, surely his vocal will not as fit as before, but like you said he did execute it quite well considering his age. Yes, he often hang on the the mic stand dearly to express his energy. He also has distinctive way to hold the mic....
Eddie's singing style has changed A LOT over the years. He did not play around with diphtongs as much back in the day. He sounds way more country now with those "nothing-meean". I must admit I preferred his 90's voice more.
eddie is always great. just a little reminder for susanne sundfor ( i truly cannot believe that she isn't yet featured on channel, shame on you!) and anna von hausswolff (shame on you as well) please don't miss out these wonderful artists and i get you on your nerves anyways untill you do ;-)
Love your reaction videos brother. Can you please do a reaction video on 'Ranjish hi Sahi' by Ali Sethi from Coke Studio. Trust me you don't wanna miss this masterpiece!!!!
The truth is that Eddie's voice has deteriorated over the years. You can already hear it in this recording (2003!). He struggled to deliver high notes. Please listen to the original recording from the album recorded in 1994. Almost 20 years later, his vocal ability has even become much worse. Sad but true.
I would have to agree, however he quit smoking recently and in the 3 shows I've seen in the last couple of years, he's sounded like young Ed and I was blown away! He sounded 20 years younger and was strikingly awesome. But I do agree that he did have a huge decline prior. It's incredible how massively his voice improved after he quit.
Eddies voice is like a nice warm shot of liquor that flows throughout the body and soothes the soul.

I got to see them back in 2018 in Seattle and they are so awesome to see live. They played for 3 1/2 hours straight.
I saw them at Randall’s island in the early 2000s
He's always cupped the mic, it's a safe haven for him. Great breakdown of a underrated Pearl Jam song. Nothing as it seems by Pearl Jam would be a great breakdown for you
The version of this song in Pearl Jam Touring band 2000 is incredible!
Ed's always had a relationship with his mic stand. I used to say I wanted to be his mic stand In my next life 🤣 On a serious note, Ed's voice is like a blanket on a cold day. So soothing to the soul.
Eddie's one of the greats! Sirens is another classic!!

Ken, greetings from Brazil.
This show wasn't in Rio.
This is Lollapalooza São Paulo 2013.
I was there. What a great show.

Such a good band to see live, good reaction vid.
Can't wait to see them again at Pinkpop in June. Seen them there 3 times, in '92 , 2000 and 2018. All of them were mind blowing.

I recommend Temple of the Dog, Hunger Strike. Eddie and Chris Cornell!
Saw them live at Randall’s island in ny
Thanks for another Eddie reaction! Also, I think LP deserves some love. Her version of Halo makes me literally vibrate 🙂
You must listen to the album it comes from. "Vitalogy". It's a masterpiece.
Great video man

More pearl jam

Great review!😊 Haven't listened to these guys in a good many years...I enjoyed the review.

Eddie Vedder is the living god for me. I wanna recommed Jeremy by Pearl Jam.
I'd love to see you react to Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike.

Please react to something by Big Head Todd and the Monsters. I suggest Bittersweet or Circle.

I'm new in your channel. Please react to the song like Orpheus from Orphan Land band .. Greetings from Argentina...
I feel his reverb should be more drawn out....this seems so fast for the emotionally. I'm not sure if this is because it's live or not.
Love your reaction videos brother. Can you please do a reaction video on 'Ranjish hi Sahi' by Ali Sethi from Coke Studio. Trust me you don't wanna miss this masterpiece!!!!
You can hear how years of smoking cigarettes has affected his vocals now that he's older. 🥴🥰
pearljam is the jello mould of the 90's ... the best Album is still their first ... which is why they do not exist today

Why is every reactor so clueless as to what lyrics they are hearing?
Greenway. Greenway. Greenday. Jesus of suburbia. Live is better.
Stop talking so much
