DIY wall bed for under $150 (with shelves)- DIY murphy bed. (My dad is showing you how it works… a much-requested video!) My dad & my husband built this wall bed and so many of you have been asking for a video of it- so here you go! :) to drop something off, so I asked him to help me fold it up so that I could make this video for you.

This bed costs around $70 to build, plus another $80 for the shelving.

I think of all the DIY wall bed videos this is my favourite. It makes sense and looks pretty easy even for an idiot like me, only change I'd make is probably adding a floating shelf instead of folding legs. Just gotta find some heavy duty hinges and I may give this a go.

This is the best video, and the best idea for a Murphy Bed.

You are amazing. As a student my room doesn't have alot of space, but if I folded my bed, it would be alot bigger! Now to get it hidden away in the wall is a bit to tryhard for me so I will probably leave the sides and give it a feeling like a four poster bed, or make underneath the bed a wardrobe! when it is folded up can you see the hinges at the bottom? if not how did you hide them?

the hinges are on the inside so when its fokded up u shouldn't be able to see them
