This should be termed Cameroon scotch eggs. This is scotch egg the way I knew it in the past.
A delicious picnic snack of hard-boiled eggs wrapped in wheat-flour dough and deep-fried. Can also be baked for a healthier version.

I just finished making a batch of these today. I didn't have regular salt or sugar so I used pink hawaiian salt and honey and they turned out amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

Hello came in contact with your videos not long ago and it had been helpful really. Pls I just wish yo ask in the place of melted butter can we use groundnut oil? And in the place where we don't have skimmed milk can we use water ?
Oh my goodness, I don't know how I missed this comment. Sure you can use groundnut oil, I guess my response is too late:-( And water could go as well

You can use whole milk, I went with semi-skimmed because that's what I had at the moment. Whole or full cream milk is good

Scotch egg is made up of sausage meat
paul joe that's not true. In the NW region of Cameroon, that's how it's made.
paul joe ... In Nigeria we make ours with sausage meat too and we call this ‘egg roll’ We learn new things daily!

7 eggs
1/4 nut meg
A tablespoon of salt
2tablespoon of sugar
1/4 spoon of baking powder
1/4 melted butter
A cup of milk
