Only read a few comments although the name suggests something to do with Scotland , they have nothing to do with that place.
Two places lay claim to inventing them Whitby in Yorkshire and Fortnum and Mason in London , both very much in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.
The Fortnum claim appears most credible and based on culinary ideas brought back from India 🇮🇳 during the Raj

While we are here if the place name ends in ham, like Buckingham, you don’t say it as ham you say is “um”, hopefully you read that in the way I’m saying it 👍

Sonny, as of tonight I have now made a total of two of your recipes: your (amazing) deviled eggs ruclips.net/video/-dwj40Llm5Y/видео.html and now these scotch eggs 🤯. And I now know why you beat the $#¡+ out of your fridge! They’re both fantastic!
I’ve saved and saved a bunch of your recipes for two reasons: 1) Because they do look awesome, and 2) because they actually look like stuff a novice home cook like myself could make, as opposed to what another unnamed world-famous British chef tries to peddle as simple home cooking.
If anyone out there is reading this comment, please make these scotch eggs. You will be so far from disappointed. The hardest part is wrapping the eggs in the sausage, but it’s really not that difficult. Just allow yourself some time for the whole recipe and you’ll be fine. And don’t skip the sauce; it’s 100% worth it.
Thank you for the channel, Sonny! I’ll definitely be making more.

So I made these, except for grinding my own pork, and there was an issue. I weighed everything, timed everything, took temperatures, chilled before cooking, etc. In other words, followed the recipe exactly. My eggs came out hard. WHYYYY? I had a feeling they would, too, and almost took them out sooner. Five minutes on a low boil, then six minutes in the hot oil, well, how can they be soft like yours were?
They were still good, but not quite right. I've made these before and your recipe is better as far as the taste of the batter and the sauce, but I was bummed about the hard-boiled eggs.

Just a random theory. Will Smith was trying to use the joke on his wife as an opportunity to reaffirm his honour not that of Jada.
He did that for himself. He mouthed the words - "Keep MY wife's name out of your fuckin' mouth".
Sadly, he was acting all chivalrous for a person who hurt him bad.
FYI, not supporting his action. Hope that people try to forget it and try to see the goodness in him.

Does anyone know if turkey sausage would work? I have a family member that can’t have pork. I know it’s not as fatty or as good lol but I would love to make them. Thank you

I always thought the meat was ground beef. Sausage seems like a much better choice. Goddamn

Anything Marco Pierre White says is correct. And he pronounces it "Woostah sawwwce". Argument settled.

Quick question. Why do chefs say to stream in the OIL SLOWLY?

I think the egg in the middle of the pot tested positive for covid and was isolating. Gonna try this recipe for sure!
