You hit the nail on the head, about Juliette. My theory (that I've been saying repeatedly) is that Rebecca Ferguson had other commitments with "Dune" and maybe "Mission Impossible"--and only spend a week or two on the "Silo" set with Steve Zahn. And, all of their filming took place BEFORE the rest of the "Silo" cast & crew came to work. The scripts for this season may not have even been written when Rebecca/Steve worked.
Interesting theory. Maybe you’re onto something if she was only available for a short period of time. Of course I have no idea what takes place in the books and how long she was in silo 17
To be honest, I never expected the old lady (Gloria) to betray her entire community. As for Lukas, why doesn’t he share what he knows with others-for example, the truth about who Quinn really was and what actually happened? And why hasn’t anyone tried to kill Bernard yet? He’s often alone, with no witnesses around. I was deeply moved by the Sheriff and his wife; it’s heartbreaking that they sense something happened to their world, yet they don’t truly understand what it was.
I don't feel like Walker betrayed her entire community. You have to realize she isn't aware that Juliette is alive nor of the existence of another silo. So why would she think a rebellion is needed or even has a point? She knows they will come down hard on them before they let them take power. Maybe her stopping them from getting more stuff would keep them from making more attempts resulting in more backlash.
Maybe try to hold off on blatent spoilers for other media and film. Otherwise, really enjoy tuning into you guys each week as one of the lowkey chill reviews for Silo. ❤
18:00 i think an interesting outcome would be that Lucas could overthrow/take Bernard and carry his mission or understand it? And be doing something drastic for the sake of the Silo and while Juliet going through her journey, essentially seeing the same things but on the side of the rebels. Then they battle and die in each other arms 😊. Thats my theory no book
True, anemic content surrounding Juliette is blatantly obvious and annoying. I latched onto the pace of Juliette's side a few episodes ago and realised that the season is going to end with her knocking on Silo 18's door.
yes Juliette's story is slow because it has to be coordinated with the events in the other silo. Several moving parts have to be in place in order for things to come to a certain outcome to happen and make sense.
@@SoapboxPodcastNetwork I think it's going to boil down to Billings making a decision and he will do so with info from Lukas and Sims. Lukas with the decoded info once he finds the rest of the clues and Sims with the knowledge of Bernard's murder of the Mayor. Whether he tells Billings or his wife and she tells him. I can see them all coming for Bernard by the end.
Also the series is called "Silo "and not "Juliette Lewis big adventure". The Juliette storyline might be on the backburner for now, but i am sure it'll come back, but I think it is not fair to judge the quality of the show based on how long Juliette is in the frame or how many words she said. The show is ultimately not about her, it's about the Silos. Who built them. Why and what happened? She was/is the vehicle to introduce us us into this world, but in my opinion not the centre of the story. at least in this season she is not.
I think we could have gotten there by now, no? I think Juliette's return will probably be the cliffhanger of the season but they could have made it an 8 episode season....
@@dv2483 yes sure we could have sped things up. the entire thing could have been a couple of movies. it's the journey not the destination. things are happening imo. characters are getting the motivation and information they need. pieces of the puzzle are coming together. we even met 3 new characters very briefly in 17 and a couple in 18. We have 2 more episodes and then 2 seasons after that so enjoy the ride.
What will Lukas do once he totally unravels Quinns message ? And, back to when they left Silo 17, they had time to plant a flag and get quite far across the top of the silo before they fell down dead, with NO suits ? They must of been targeted ? 😵💫
This season is really starting to feel like a downgrade from S1... Still have my hopes up for the final episodes to save it, but damn it's starting to feel like a slog... Great show guys. PS, any chance of you guys watching and discussing Severance?
I’ve enjoyed season 2 but yea there are aspects that feel like they’re milking. And yup! We’ll be covering Severance immediately after our Silo coverage concludes!

Solid points hobo. However, since we as the all knowing audience know everything that’s going on, it is sad to see Walker go the way of betrayal

Or so we are being made to think that. Even though I do believe that as well

Please let Zac finish his points.
I’ll run this by Zac on the next episode for you
Silo 1 obviously is the main silo? The power supplies to IT all link to Silo 1 which has complete control @ SCARY
How do you know this for certain? Lol
@SoapboxPodcastNetwork "it's what I choose to believe" .. the Matrix 😎
Who are the kids?
I’m assuming they’re from the silo from the rebellion times

Do you guys even like the show?
No, we hate it. That’s why we’ve covered every episode with two podcasts.
All the characters lack depth…..
Some of them do for sure. But I think Bernard, Pete Nichols, Juliette, Meadows, Billings, Walker, and a few more have great depth to them
