Meadows was so much smarter than Bernard. She thinks outside of the box or the pact. Bernard is gone Sims and his wife are too thirsty for power. I think he might go. Whoever is in 17 wasn’t in there in there after revolt, including Solo. Who has a thirty year supply of food. If they do, is Solo 17’s cleaner. He said that he messed up. Silo is a really good series. Really enjoying it. Bernard is the wizard or some other power or person.

The reason Bernard did not pick Sims is because Sims is willing to sacrifice anyone and everyone to save his family. Bernard sacrificed the only person he ever loved for the good of the silo. He thinks Lukas will make the same logical decisions he has made if given all the information. I do not think Bernard would hesitate to sacrifice himself if his calculations showed it saving the silo. I am not a book reader but my prediction is Bernard sacrifices himself for the good of the silo at some point. I do not agree with Bernard’s decision making but I also think he is being manipulated by what information he is given.

Maybe Solo's eyes are changed as part of an effort by his Dad to trick the Legacy AI into thinking his 10 year old son was a different person, allowing him to become the IT shadow.

I've read the books and I'm not going to spoil (lost of stuff is changed anyway) but I did want to commend you on how close / accurate many of your theories are, not just in the immediate but also in the long term.

I don’t think the secret of breaking the code is in the book of wizard of oz judging from the episode 8 trailer I think it will be in the book of the pact which everyone in the silo can access as the message was not intended for the leader of I.T but rather for the people

My theory is Lukas will get in contact with juillet & somehow juillet will come back through the tunnel Bernard will die and juillet will take over as mayor & head of I.T

Juliet surely must have some leadership skills because she was shadow of Knox. Yeah you might say she wasnt that good as sherif but hell, she was on that position few day and throwed into middle of terrible situation and lies.

What an episode! Best show out, id argue the best show of the year and it's not even over yet!

Bernard is an A Lister. Juliet is an A Lister. Solo is an A Lister. Sims, to a lesser degree is a B+ Lister. You don't kill those people off. Until the final season. or you have them die an epic death(Ned Stark) Which shapes the actions of so many other characters because of that death. . Lucas is not there yet.. Billings is not there yet.. You don't kill off the people who are carrying the show. You can hurt Bernard. You can seriously injure him or give him a major set back Or leave a cliffhanger where. with his life. is in jeopardy. at the end of the season.(who shot JR "Dallas"). but he's too important to the plot line and he's too great an actor to kill off this early into four seasons. You can't pull a Ned Stark. I'm sorry. You just don't. I could be completely wrong on this. But I don't see it. If you kill up Bernard. unless you have significantly set up a new big bad that has to depth and scope of him. no one will watch season three. I mean, it feels like Bernard is losing right now and I feel.. That's by design. to set up a twist. where he completely turns the table. Where you feel like the heroes are about to win? and he completely flips the script. and the conflict continues. I mean, he lost Sims. the new head of security is a complete idiot. The down deep has turned against him, and people are started turn against him. And it almost seems like Simm says you're out of moves and options. That's when you play the Uno reverse card. and make everybody draw four and in the season on a cliffhanger. to have everybody anticipating and waiting on season three. where Bernard has completely flipped the script.

Although I do enjoy listening to your thoughts about the show so far. It's a lot of i disagree with you don't. kill off a character like Bernard that has such a huge and strong presence. unless you have to. I mean, you don't kill Andy Dufrane! Him Juliet and Sims probably had the strongest plot armor along with. solo. you build to a death like his and you make it epic. Then you have to have a big bad waiting to take his place That you have set up. . unless you're not going to do it anymore. Seasons. Unless you kill them and then Then you go back and build contacts on how he got. To where he got to. But there's no way that he dies at the end of this season. I believe. he's the strongest actor of the cast. Sims is not strong enough to be the antagonist on his own. In fact, I feel like he's going to have some kind of comeback. I mean, it feels like he's losing everything. which would be too easy It'd be like killing off homelander. In the boys, you can't really kill them until. the damn near the end. His presence is way too large. To get rid of it anytime soon. He carries the show with being honest.. Not Juliet, especially in the second season. Searcy did not die until the very end and Game of Thrones. She was the true big bad in that show.. Although her death was anticlimactic. her plot armor was way too strong to kill off anytime before the end. Same thing here with Bernard.

I think you might have a point. The only siblings I know of were. Juliet and her brother. Are there any other siblings mentioned it is funny That one of the. people controlling whether or not someone. can have kids or not. by faking, taking out birth control and stuff like that is a doctor who had two kids where most families can't get one.

Bernard is doing this because he believes it's. the right thing to do everything he's done so far. He's falling the rules of the pack. and the order that he was given from IT when he took over a shadow. The comment he made about only nine meals separates humanity. from total chaos. demonstrates that for the most part. he believes that people can't be trusted with the truth. not the absolute truth. So they must be kept in the dark about certain things. He's not doing it on a spite.. He's not doing it out of hate. or evil necessity. To control he? believes he's the good guy. And he's working to save all the silo.

You guys are forgetting writing 101. the villain almost never thinks he's the villain. He always sees himself as the hero and savior.. He makes decisions that he think. s Are the best for all involved most of the time. Unless they're just evil, Thanos never thought he was evil. Or that he was the villain. He thought he was saving half of humanity. And all creatures. He just believed he was making. The tough, hard decisions that no one else can make. So yes, I can see Lucas being. different after he learns what he learns. and one of the statements. that Knox May about we all think we keep the silo running. Bernard believes he does what he has to to keep the sight on running. I don't think that he thinks he's an evil or bad person. He thinks he makes the hard choices and sacrifices. to save the many by sacrificing the few from time to time. He didn't want to kill Judge Meadows. He loved her.

I don't think it's just about giving Lucas something to do.? I mean, he has to have a shadow. It has to be someone Very intelligent. So able to think outside the box. Someone with no romantic ties. Because basically everyone has to have a shadow. There's a reason why the shadows exist. He's the most logical choice.. And a single minded dedication. I mean, he's literally sitting and staring at the stars every night. trying to figure out what they were. and he was smart enough to come up with that. He makes the most obvious choice. Bernard knows he's old. and that he won't live forever. I don't think he's just doing it to give Luke something to do. It made the most logical sense. to make Lucas his shadow over Sims. Sims would always put his family first. He's not smart enough to be the IT head His wife, one other head, maybe Also, the head of it should know computers. duh.

I think the secret with the kid is they Probably. weren't supposed to have children, but. Sims used his influence to have a son. As far as using Camille as leverage. She's the one actually playing chess behind the scenes. She's smarter than he is. So Bernard's not going to be able to use her as leverage against him. She's actually playing both sides. My better question is. who do the Raiders actually work for? On paper I thought they were a division. of judicial I thought.? The only reason. that Judge Meadows had no true power. is because of Sims and Bernard And the fact that she was a drunk and was only into relics.. I mean, who does the PAC say the Raiders work for It's a very funny dynamic to me. because we know the Raiders never worked for the mayor. They worked for the head of security. Which was Sims basically? He on paper took his orders from Judge Meadows. We know that it. IT so that secret room was actually pulling the strings, but not. in the beginning. We didn't. until it was later revealed. So who do the Raider's think they work for?. Who does that fall under? I mean, other than Camille who knows? in the head of security. who used to be Sims who gave them their marching orders. He was getting them. from Bernard. but actually on paper he worked for Judge Meadows. So I understand. the head of security, knowing can Sims appoint a new head of security as the judge. I mean, technically, it only is in charge of computer systems. The mayor is in charge of the police..

guys from what I've heard the code and message and the syndrome are not in the books. so book spoilers for those topics won't happen but there are screeners they sent out for 9 episodes so there might be leaks from them around. I have seen the deciphered code and some of it matches some of the graffiti we've seen.

Bernard has been trying to solve this but he is running out of time and he's smart enough to know he needs help, another mind as sharp as his or sharper trying to decode this while he is taking care of the other operations. He doesn't know what is in the message and from what he saw it do to Meadows he has to know.

if you recall there was a working farm Jules found on the way down and she got water there. So this other person had water and food. and someone cut her rope and it probably wasn't Solo because he was inside the vault. He is afraid whoever gets in will lock him out. I don't think they took him I think they hurt him and he ran off and then they cut the rope and air for Jules.

By what ive gathered it seemed some one shot the arrow and then attacked with the axe. We know that Juliette had her rope cut while she was swinging to the other side. It was clear that there was farms still in some sort of operating form due to the trees being green and water still dripping in the farms. J said she couldnt find food so thst seems like someone is gathering ehat food is being grown if any. I feel like it has to be at least two people due to a distance shot then being attacked with an axe/ambush. Feels like what group was left from people leaving the silo. Could be a family due to the two people embracing outside the vault being dead. Maybe they went to beg for help and got killed due to desperation and trying to break in to the vault? "Solo " said he epuld kill j if she tried to open it and understood that there is a curiosity about a closed door and wanting to knkw whats behind it. I dont think its solo just faking a injury to get out of helping j or just manipulating her.

I’ve been listening to your coverage since season 1, and I’m so glad I came across you guys. I think making Lucas the IT shadow might backfire on Bernard. Lucas isn’t necessarily obligated to reveal the true hidden message-he could lie and then venture off like Meadows. I say this because Lucas hasn’t passed Bernard’s selflessness test. In fact, he’s not doing this for the good of the silo; he’s doing it to avoid returning to the mines. Also, the person that blew up his world is dead, there’s no way he doesn’t question that. Solo showing his true colours makes him "releasing" Juliette after she recovers a big debate. Because Solo does have those relapses of fear of being outside of his vault I think Juliette is either going to have to trick Solo into serving her (use the Order against Solo??) or kill him. Inevitably her suit is not yet complete. I do believe Juliette is going to wake up in the vault, feels like the show is leading to that. Can't wait for the next episode!

I think Juliette is a leader or is in the process of becoming the leader. She is the main character right?
