I remember I asked u in a comment to go in Haiti (it was good at this time). Glad u show some of our beautiful food but it would be best if u could go in Haiti, not only to try food but also our beautiful places too. But my thing is, why u all when we made a video of Haiti is only bad thing saying like the country is the baddest in the world? Like the country is like a shit hole there’s nothing good bout it etc… when the country is good I would love u to visit it and see for ur self.(bcus media here telling lies and bad things only . However, is the most visited in the Caribbean.) “Shanty town is better than being in Haiti “? Please stop this that’s a lie. It’s like they took the whole country and put in a trash can like (every place is dirty, is like they show in the video). That’s a big lie. Those Haitian people don’t even know what they talking bout.they probably from in the mountains side

@@slaitracy7 Sonny never said Haiti was a shit hole, he actually said he has interest in going. He showed and told us what was happening, especially to those that left, and instead of treating your fellow Haitian's opinions with respect, you call them liars that don't know about their own birthplace, while saying they came from the mountains as an insult. Haiti is beautiful but everywhere has its ups and downs and to deny that, and worse, what you say to your own people only shows that you're a bigot of a human that is out of touch. I'm glad your opinion shows more about how you are then it does about Haiti or other Haitians, because, you're right, Haiti is beautiful, even if you and your opinions aren't.

@@DexyD20 if u read my text well, u will see I never said Sonny said Haiti is a shit hole(everybody know that Trump said suck a things). I’m not talking specifically with sonny love. Like I said as speaking in general, bout other media too. Maybe I wrote it wrong. And no I can’t support about what they said because it’s not true. Not bcuz they from Haiti and to think they know their whole country ok. U took “they came from mountain “ for an insult because I didn’t mean it like that. What I mean by that is( what they talking about it’s usually in the mountains areas and there’s less beautiful place there than other places in Haiti) u can’t understand. U can’t talk to me bout my pple if u don’t from there okay , u don’t understand what I’m talking about . And u find it as an insult however they won’t . What did I said to them? What are u talking bout? Man/woman whoever u are , all my due respect: u writing all this for nothing Bcus u can’t understand and u took it wrong while my pple will understand because they will know how we are and talk . What can be insult for u isn’t for us. So, my pple my blood okay so CAUTIOUS ok.

@@slaitracy7 I did read your wall of text and because you don't specify anything until I replied to you, it comes off as you either not knowing what you are talking about or that you don't care about what you are talking about. Your words reach farther then Haiti so you should do your do diligence and make a statement that everyone can understand and/or sympathize with especially when you are trying to change the minds of those that aren't Haitian. By not making your opinions clear, you do you and your people a disservice. To change the minds of others you need to make it easy to understand for all. By not giving proper context to you statements you make it hard to impossible for anyone besides those that already have you same opinions as you too understand. So I'll say in sorry for assuming so much and even thank you for making your point of view more clear, but if you want to change minds or even have the people that you yourself are making assumptions about, to understand you, then you should try too make it easy to understand for those that are "not" your people. And even in your second statement you try to belittle my opinions by saying I don't know what I'm talking about, but I wonder why I don't know what I'm talking about if you never made yourself clear in the first place. So let's just agree that we are both assholes that need more information. Also I could care less about what you call me. Me being a he or she doesn't matter in any context here.

Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES from hell❗️
      *What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
      JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!

      Romans 10:9

You have no clue how many family members and friends that went and did not come back. The craziness is amplified. This nothing like the previous kidnapping waves of the 2000’s.

      Before y’all argue with me.
I am well aware how Haiti is. Live there my whole life, went through the earthquake. Could not attend my grandmother funeral because of the President assassination. They went and shot their guns in the church. We always had to fend for ourselves because police is a running joke. Just owning a gun is not cutting it anymore. You went and came back that’s good for you. For me i will not play Russian roulette with my life. That’s not me bashing or talking bad that what i’ve been through. It is a pain to us young adults especially some of us that had to flee.

With your open mind and your empathetic approach, you allow even the poorest and most marginalized people their dignity and are able to elevate your show from a simple food show to something that just goes way beyond.
As you so rightly have made a point of showing, it's not just about the food and the dishes themselves, it's about the peoples and cultures behind the food and providing this context makes all the difference and helps us all to learn and maybe take a step out of our own preconceived notions.

Big up yourself for considering Haiti yo be on your list of traveling to have a taste of the people without having to go. Also Nice to know that Haitians and Bahamians growing in oneness, simultaneously giving opportunity to express their economic prowess in the Bahamas. Well you must be one of the few Americans to feel that way because the truth of the matter is that Haiti is under a violent US colonial rule right now. Has been since 2004 . An unofficial colony that is, with all of the inconveniences and humiliations of a colony and none of the official protections. Along with Canada and France, the racist US cancelled Haiti's sovereignty on its 200 anniversary of independence. The truth must be told.

@@BlackMoonstone531 I don't believe in Racism; but more Americans should Accept our Family in Haiti and it'd be beautiful to see Haiti turn into a modern State with full benefits for the people, the American people need to aid and protect each other and help together to make better changes for both lands 💞
