hi. I own this camera for the last 2 years. came here to find a view that matches mine.. and you have nailed it.. great camera but it could be better.. lovely work.. (and yr accent is lovely too )
Thank you for the video... Just one thing, everyone is on with the "Snapshot" stuff, be it from Ricoh, Fuji, etc., but at the end autofocusing one time at a chosen distance and then switching the focus in manual on obtained focus will keep the lens at the set autofocused distance with no aperture restriction whatsoever, and that would be your easiest "Snapshot" mode on any camera. Sure it's less refined, but it works the same. Just have to be cautious to not inadvertently move the focus ring (but one could tape it, like for astro with infinity focus on lenses that don't have focus ring lock).
I have this camera for about a year. I love everything about it… size, image quality, snapshot mode…. The only thing that i really frustrated about is the shutter button seems ‘sticky’ at times - i dunno if it is AF related or the shutter button flaw, faulty or something
Thanks for the honest review, think I'm still going to buy this camera as the size and sensor size is so appealing and the only other real competition at that size is the more expensive ricoh griii which is more expensive
Thanks for your real world review. I just bought one as walkaround street camera to supplement my X-T1. I tend to zone focus so will be interesting to see how I get on with it.
I've tried it too but It's not comfortable that place for me. And I was also loosing the snapshot mode. I've tried to put it on the top button or on the touch screen, but all it was weird.
Thank you very much, very interesting! In these conditions I usually use my X-E3 which is excellent but I'm interested in an even more compact camera. The issue I have with the XF10 is its 28mm, I much prefer the 35mm (ff equivalent). I heard the XF10 includes a digital zoom but I don't know how it works, maybe you have some advice for me? Anyway congratulations for your great images and thanks again!
Xf10 has a digital zoom in jpeg mode. Pretty acceptable. For what it is xf10 it's great - excellent lens and image quality in a very compact body. But the AF can be annoying. And also the f2.8 aperture in low light. Also x100f or x100v I think are a good option.
Just got Ricoh GR3 from Amazon because I wasn't sure to keep it especially for the dust issue some people talk about. Image quality is stellar and I'm really picky about that. What it borders me is that every time you need to use the camera lens needs to come out and you turn it off it get back inside the camera. I think that this is really annoying. Manual AF in not really convenient but with latest firmare camera is very fast in menu and touch AF works great in good light conditions. It gets slow only in low light. I did not understand it in XF10 you can set 2m f5.6 or you just have 2 options 2m f8 and 5m f5.6. Even from the video XF10 seems slower than Ricoh, does this camera suffer of gosthing in close focus like older X100*?
Hi, Yes you have just two options for snapshots. At f8 you have all in focus theoretically. But it's set to 1.5-2.5 meters. And f 5.6 3-5meters. I didn't see any ghosting as x100 (and I know what you mean) the lens it's super sharp. For the price it's a great camera but yes it's pretty laggy especially in AF.
Lx100 it's focusing fast I had it in the hand (a friend of mine has it) . But LX100 it's not as compact as xf10 and also it's more advanced. Hard to judge, I would say they complement each other, xf10 being more portable - if you're asking me xf10 it's the best portable snapshot APS-C camera for the price! I sold it, but I'm looking to buying it again... It's unbeatable regarding portability, price and image quality.
AF it's not better. With Ver.1.12, that is the latest version, I've found the problems that I'm talking about. They didn't do an update from may 2020. Check it here fujifilm-x.com/support/download/firmware/cameras/xf10/
Some people say it fixed almost everything, some people say it didn't change anything. I'm starting to think some models have a faulty focus motor or something.
I will publish very soon a video about that. Till than I've made this video that's very important for bnw photography ruclips.net/video/1g-kIODFipk/видео.html
The AF on this camera is TRASH. Slow and worst of all inaccurate. When shooting self portraits using the Fuji app, the camera simply won't focus on the subject and repeatedly back focuses no matter which focus mode or focus zone I use. I really wanted to like this camera but the AF is TOTAL GARBAGE. Gave up and got an X100F instead and that works like a dream.
Sadly this camera goes up in price despite the fact its auto focus sucks! I've owned this camera and sold it for that reason. Absolutely nothing special about this camera. I own several fuji's now that work great. Somehow "pocketable" cameras are the thing? Not really, that's why most people have cell phones! Sorry Tudor but this is my complaint reference this camera not your video!

Zici ca esti roman ^^. Am gasit si eu unul, 2400 sh cu un nr mic de cadre, pe olx. Ce parere ai?
Le-a crescut prețul mult, eu personal nu as da atâta.

I configured the button on top of Q button as “Instant AF” so it’s a back focus button. Don’t understand which was your problem about it…

I just use the focus ring setup with red focus peeking. Forget AF. AF is for girly men.
True, in manual mode xf10 rules!
@@Tudor_Mateescu I can't see the view finder in bright sunlight so I put it in automatic and hop for the best.

It's a nice camera, but I do wish Fuji update the X70 instead of releasing this camera.
Indeed 😌
What size sensor does it have, iPhone 14 territory?
Apsc
This camera does have top notch image quality. Its very fast.
Image quality is good. And "fast" is just snapshot mode.
How does it compare vs Lumix LX100 ?

Also check out Canon G1X mark III which has fast AF.
Thank you, didn't know about it. Very interesting 🤔

Yes, you are right 👍
Sounds like a digital camera from 1990's. 😆
Something like that regarding the AF and lag, but image quality it's very good and snapshot mode really works. ;)
@@Tudor_Mateescu Fujifilm should fix the short comings of this camera. 📷
