I mean bolt ons help alot with a k series. i would be sad to see the regular curve of it was a bone stock engine. The fact that you can even get that kinda power on a stock cam engine is awesome.
my brother has a bone stock k24 block, k24 head with tsx cam, stock injectors, type s tranny super single non lsd, with type s oil pump 4 piston port, with big tube open header. Chassis is dc2 98-99 can't remember well enough but these k24 aren't a joke they're fast asf spanked a fully built b20v that made 226 tuned against my brother k24 street tune.
I've been in the race scene and modifying cars since I was 13yrs old. I'm now 45 and this isn't bone stock. Bone stock has always meant as it came from the factory. I get it has stock internals and that's cool. Very impressive for a stock block, heads, cam, etc. But it is not "bone stock".. Neways with that being said it is a very nice build, continue the good work. Just got my first Honda, a 04 TSX. Let the bolt ons begin!!
in 05' i built my car, eg stock tsx engine (Had a type r intake came) %) deg vtc, DTR header, aem ems, and TWM ITBs and it made 259/205 so i 100% with this video. Sweet ride.
Guys remember its a gutted hatch very light power to weight ratio makes a fun drag car. Also humble knows how to safely pull as much out possible he is nice enough to give some info but honestly if you found the secret recipe u aint goin share it after all the hard work you have done. You can clearly tell it has a massive amount of timing and vtc angle with m5 fuel keeps combustion cool and no detonation pump gas not possible
@I Paid I agree, the turbo should be mentioned although it too is just a bolt on! But, if the argument is that bolt ons means stock then? My point is it's not fair to say FULL bolt on's Naturally aspirated is stock, especially when it's giving you a good 80HP bump! The car world is tricky though I get it.. Hell, they call them "motor mounts" when they mount the Engine :P and the "stock" class for Time Attack allows full bolt ons..
That engine came with a turbo but now I’m just being technical. At any rate if a naturally aspirated Honda on stock internals said he wanted to race I’d decline. Waste of time lol.
I'm kind of late to this conversation but power is an unknown quantity unless measured with weight. 100 hp can spank 271 hp if the total vehicle weight is 700 pounds lighter (just an example) so what I want to know is the curb weight of the car. Then I can make my power to weight calculations to equal or beat these times. Sometimes , within reason it's cheaper to remove weight than to add HP/TQ
I guess I should add what my goal is, I'm swapping a stock k24 into a Fiat X1/9 with the Honda 6 speed. The estimated curb weight will be 1950 pounds. I'm wondering how this compares with the Hondas that are pulling 12s or 11s. I will likely add some bolt-ons where room permits but room is scant in this little car.
Sergio Aguirre why are you getting madd dummy my argument its with the title dumb ass. Read the title stupid it states stock if you don’t know what stock means then I guess this conversation pointless.
Sergio Aguirre your the moron here that keeps arguing about something that makes no sense dumb ass. I bet you have a stock brain with no info in little kid. When you say stock it means stock nothing else. You take the motor run it on the dyno and see what it puts down for numbers. You don’t add a bunch of stuff and say it stock idiot. Just like your brain right know it’s stock but your learning new stuff so guess what it’s not stock any more dumb ass. Once again read the fucking title and then make your claims.
That’s some serious power from a bolt on K24. I’m assuming no power steering or A/C. So could I get 300whp with 11.5-1 pistons and good cams, header, exhaust and bigger injectors? CP pistons, assembly by 4piston with non-ported head, only new valve job and stage 4 Drag Cartels. Nice video, you guys do great work, wish I was closer
When people are talking about stock motor, they are referring to the block. A stock motor is an engine that came like that from the factory. Stock block is a engine that hasn't been touched and built internally newbs
Humble Performance Thanks for clarifying that. Now a question: for a daily driver, would you run forged pistons in a K24 or stay with acura slugs? Seems like they make great power
Is this some kind of millennial thing, redefining meanings to terms that that has a singular and specific meaning since dudes were modifying flatheads?
Makes me excited to build my K24. Looking at doing minor upgrades......stock bottom end, cams, injectors, cleaned up head, intake manifold, and throttle body
@Humble Performace Im building a k24a2 right now and would like to know a good recipe for 300whp on 93 octane, would love to go to your shop to have it tuned once I finish the build. Keep up the good work.

Lol I remember doing this back in 2009. To an eg and ef build. NA on both at Bradenton Motorsports. Ah memories. Neil Sutton was a huge admirer and KJ. Gear head performance made an aluminum dash for me. 🥰😍
That's nice 270hp only rapping out to 7.5 probably a stock oil pump that's awesome I'm looking to do a ported type s pump moroso oil pump and rbc can hear on my k24z3 lmk if there's anything I should know
I was thinking u would make a dyno with its original vtc gear. Even if its a honda part u got to admit that the 50 vtc gear is a change in performance. Does it have a type-r oil pump?

ATTENTION: BOLT ONS ARE NOT THE MOTOR
i understand peoples confusion cos its not really a stock motor BUT a stock longblock.
Cams?
hereinmissoula11 stock cams.
Bseries_ Jess stock
So stock motor with only bolt-ons and tune/race gas, stock cams making almost 300 at the crank?
I love all the "it's not a stock engine" comments lmao
Those are awesome numbers!! It's cool how Alex is able to make the trip to the track and give advice as well.

I remember racing Troy when this car had a b20 in it. Lots of work has gone into this car since losing to a b16 swapped CR-X.
The burgundy hatch is sitting on the rev limiter too long between shifts... He could pull a half second by shifting better
I mean when I drive it literally bumps limiter and already in the next gear
Glad someone else noticed that
Same i was saying, hitting limiter too long
Yea he needs to be more aware about the rev limiter
I would raise the rev limit 200 rpm and get that shift point dead on instantly.
Nice 5th gen Prelude sittin behind that maroon hatch
Your channel keeps making me want to do an all motor K after I finish my boosted H.
Funny im about to finish a turbo h in my accord then do a all motor k24
That dark purple ish hatch needs a better driver mod he needs to avoid hitting rev limiter
that's awesome power for a stock motor with bolt ons and fuel

Man you keep saying bone stock but everything you said at 9:25 doesn’t count I guess. What you should have said was bone stock internals With bolt on.
They said stock block.. which means only the block, Injectors headers etc.. do not count as a block, nor does fuel or exhaust they are bolt ons,
Sergio Aguirre when you ready the title it states stock k24 nothing about bolt-ons until you hit the drop box. That’s what I’m saying kid.

Geoffrey Kidder same with b series. 2200 in b series longblock to handle around 700hp.

It sounded like it was Cammed sounds aggressive. Not stock ?
Stock cams.

whys them "stock cams" sound so aggressive on the trailer?

I can't imagine what power I'll make in 2100 pound 90 si civic. Doing k24a2 same intake e85 header, built for turns.

Are many people running the 50° vtc on stock k24a2 or running pinned to 40°
Pin it for safety. IIRC you can lock it in software to 40° max, but pinning is cheap and a great way to be certain.

Was this stock oil pump? Or type s
But what does stock k24a produce without bolt on’s and pump gas....
Very impressive 💪🏼

How does a bone stock K24 make 270 at the wheels when a TSX makes 200-210 at the flywheel?
I don't think the camera man knows what bone stock means.
It's a bone stock MOTOR, i.e. the long block is bone stock. Its untouched valve cover to oil pan. It has bolt ons and a tune running on M5 fuel.
