Those dummies make this stuff the classics they are today. I played back a few of those scenes , especially when they got tossed out of that apartment building over the rent. LOL funny. Today's CGI couldn't do these scenes justice.😂😂😂
Whatever you think of the Farrelly Brothers homage to the boys, you have to give them kudos for using the original sound effects and carrying on the tradition of hilariously obvious dummies!
Probably the best and only good part in the movie. I just couldn't get past Moe Howard having emotions and feeling guilt. It was actually pretty off setting.
"Love at First Bite" is one of my favorites. First, there's a hesitation in the shadow of the dummies before they land; and the way Shemp lands always cracks me up.
Hilarious. Great compilation, and much appreciated. A couple of comments: 1:53- watch the referee! I forget the guy's name, but he was an old vaudeville pro. 3:00- the Larry dummy on the right (that lands on actor Ned Glass) worked out perfectly. 6:43- Unbelievable editing in post-production! Curly being positioned on his head to match the dummy is amazing; you can watch this one repeatedly..in slo-mo...and it's still astounding. 7:44 - Shemp dummy (on the right--or is it Moe?) always deserves a couple of playback/repeats. The "Higher than a Kite" scene with Mo'es head caught in the drainage tile is the most grotesque thing in all 190 shorts, I think; it goes on for over 3 minutes. Director Del Lord had really lost his touch by this point. However, if you like this sort of thing, try to find some of Lord's shorts with Andy Clyde, where the hapless old duffer frequently had the crap beat out of him..including a neck-stretching routine (with the same old gorilla) in "All Work and No Pay." Totally insane.
