- I was asked for anything from The Three Stooges, I found this one in the public domain, Brideless Groom. I hope you enjoy it, slap stick comedy.
Please before giving a thumbs down, most of these movies are in terrible condition, so don't expect miracles! I use a lot of electricity to enhance them as best as I can. I hope you enjoy what I do. Thank you for watching, you are appreciated greatly!

In "Brideless Groom" (1947), directed by Edward Bernds and starring Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Shemp Howard, hilarity ensues as Shemp discovers the outrageous conditions of his late uncle's will. To secure his inheritance, Shemp must tie the knot before 6 o'clock on the same day. However, the quest for a willing bride becomes a comedic odyssey, filled with mishaps and absurd encounters. The Three Stooges deliver their signature slapstick humor, turning the pursuit of matrimony into a sidesplitting adventure. The film showcases the trio's comedic genius, blending chaotic situations with their unique brand of physical comedy for timeless entertainment.
This movie took 2 hours to convert to colour at 4K resolution. I hope you enjoy the end result!

The destroyed phone booth scene is absolute comedic gold.
I like the phonebooth scene! Moe and shemp get entangled in the booth just to get a nickle! 😆. Just hilarious!
Funniest stuff I have ever seen. Been watching these cats since the 60s and still today there is nothing that even comes close.

Shemp complined that Christine wasn't selling her slaps well enough. He said "dont be afraid to really let me have it." The last punch, however really connected and bloodied Shemp`s nose. He was ok with it tho and said "good job kid."
I always had a thing for Christine Macintyre. She was a "hottie"!!

When Larry asks them how ya doin? and two hands slap /punch him I almost croaked I laughed so hard! Comedic gold is right. Two young folks from the Netherlands were our guests and I played this for them; their emotions went from a horrified look on their faces to guffaws of laughter! They had never seen the Stooges. When I said : now you know why we Americans are the way we are, they nodded their heads in total understanding. It was great!

Funniest scene of the episode. And all those punches were real ! She was so worried about hurting Shemp, They had to redo the scene multiple times. Shemp had to tell her to do it, And he’ll take it.

It took me a long time to notice that what I'm about to mention is bizarre, but here goes.
The justice of the peace guy (the guy who marries people) has a large table mounted vise/clamp. WHY would he have something like that? It's as out of place as him using a _chainsaw_ for weddings! It's a wonderful short, but now I'll never stop wondering why he has one (in his office, no less).
Oh, I like the scene where Moe and Shemp get entangled in the phone booth just ro get a Nickle, and winds up destroying it! Lol. And when Shemp drops the ring in the piano, Moe asks, "Do you see anything"? Shemp: "Yeah, wires"! 🤣 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!😂😂😂😂

Thank you. The software is AVCLabs but it's more the hardware that makes the difference. AVCLabs works on low end GPUs but I use an RTX4090 and Ryzen9 CPU AM5. Some of these enhancements would have taken 3 to 4 days to complete using my old 3060.

The plot for this goes at least as far back as the Buster Keaton silent classic “Seven Chances” (released 1925). Not that Moe, Larry and Shemp didn’t work their magic on this well-worn premise…

Just a little mistake.
Christine is actually right to take a vigorous line with harassers. The only flaw I see is that she is a little too quick to assume things. But that’s comedy.
Note that (unlike Moe and Larry later) Shemp behaves correctly throughout. He never strikes a woman. Part of the reason the ‘slap’ thing works is because of that rule; it shows someone they have gone too far, and is not the opening blow of a fight.
So, Shemp remains a sympathetic character through all this. Anyway, can he help it if he ain’t cousin Basil?

Love this episode! Shemp's uncle leaves him with $500,000 but the catch is Shemp has to get married within 48 hours of the reading of the will, but he's got 7 hours to find a bride! Lol😅. All thru this episode Shemp cracked me up from the phonebooth, getting the crap beat out of him from this lady for impersonating her cousin, then all these other women who found out about the money fighting over him! And his client he's teaching her singing lessons has a crush on him and winds up marrying him just in time! And his first words: "HELP"!!! "HELP"!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
