Even my 30 years in rockbusiness and everything else seems and sounds so boring nowadays when these ladies bringing their music to my ears. Have to say that Western World rockmusic sounds only boring. These ladies brought my faith back and joy and everything 🔥❤️
same here - i am 71 and grew up with all of the best bands of the late 50's through the early 90's. then music in the states went down the crapper with rap and hip hop. and 30 years later they are still trying to push that garbage at us. checking out a youtube suggestion in 2016 brought me to japanese female rock and metal. it all started then with DESTROSE - the song was 'sword of avenger'. haven't looked back since. now LOVEBITES , BAND MAID , HAGANE and many more rule my world.

Love the surprise when DIFFERENT came up! But you knew what you had to do! Band-Maid's streamed concerts were lifesavers during the plague years. Even without an audience present, they gave it their all for those watching, bless them. I remember the 1st one was watched in every continent except Antarctica - though someone did claim that they were going to be down that way during the 2nd or 3rd streamed gig and would watch it so that Band-Maid finally achieved their goal of complete World Domination! Not sure if that happened in the end but maybe it did!
I am loving this band and the others I got to listen so far. They have their own uniqueness and it's insanity how all these bands have their own style.
I love seeing the utter joy Band-Maid gives you. They can make grown men giddy with laughter (as seen here) or reduce them to tears. I think it’s time you tried some of their ballads! “Daydreaming” should be a nice start.

This is a new, young up and coming all female 4 piece band. They did some Band-Maid covers at their live concerts and many Maidiacs are drawn to them. Get in early with this group. I, like many others, think they are going to become one of the mainstays. KOIAI - Lisa X (guitar), Hazuki (guitar from Nemophila), Kotono (vocals ex. Ironbunny) and Kanade (drums from Muses) Fantastic music.

The Japanese metal/rock scene is the easily the best in the world..dominated by the all-female bands. I've seen very few Western bands play as seamlessly and as tight live as all these ladies do.

I just love this song, it's my number one feel-good song. It's also the first song I use to introduce Band Maid to friends/acquaintances, because the intro alone is enough to convince them that there's a lot to discover beyond the western rock/metal bubble. Btw: If you want to see something other than all-female bands, I can only highly recommend "Maximum The Hormone". It doesn't matter which song, they are all good in their own way.
Please, please, please react to "Manners/Black Hole". It's a two-fer video of two very different songs in a video. During the pandemic, Band-maid was allowed to to an on-line okyu-ji (concert/offering) by the Japanese government. "Manners/ Black Hole" was a result of that endeavor. The video show the band's amazing versatility in their musical styles. Without telling you any more about the video, I think you enjoy it thoroughly.

I feel most songs written by Miku are uplifting because they are about their rise above their struggle and hard work to get them to where they are now.
