Electric Callboy are the most entertaining band in the world right now, Germans have not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of joyful metal & EDM riffs!! 😆🤘

They actually entered their song Pump It into Eurovision and got snubbed by the committee. I believe it was because it wasn't poppy or radio friendly enough. They selected a different song to represent Germany. Their answer for being snubbed is their song Hurrikan. Both Pump It and Hurrikan are worth checking out 🤘😊🤘

I enjoyed your reaction. I liked having the MV and live because it shows they can play this for real, and aren't reliant on editing, miming or video 'tricks'. The drummer being very funny while playing live, and not just in video where they can fix the audio on post production, is one of the many indications that they are very serious about comedy. Plus the music is stupidly catchy. Most bands would be delighted to create music half as catchy, without going the extra distance (mile or km?) to be funny-as-fudge. Sadly, this wasn't the song they offered for Eurovision. Reputedly that was "Pump It" ① The rules of Eurovision require a new song, published on or after 1st September the previous year. Hope you had a good New Year, good luck with your project. First single after Nico joined the band on clean vocals. This is what started the current 'madness', lol. Their videos are funny and fun, the live performances are just a party. Yeah I like watching David (drums) too, especially in the MV's. "Pump It" was the song they submitted to Eurovision 2022. The German committee said they weren't friendly enough. But the feeling I get from reading comments from German fans, is that the committee doesn't want to win, possibly because they don't want the expense of hosting the next competition.

Don't know how I missed this when you posted it. Sorry to hear about your loss. Although it was BABYMETAL who approached Bloodywood, they had already written the song with BABYMETAL in mind (both bands are fans of the other). - The anime was made by an Indian animation company for the MV - credits are in the description. - There are 3 languages in this song. Bloodywood sang in Hindi, rapped in English. BABYMETAL sang in Japanese and Su-metal's last few lines were in Hindi. Karan Katyar from Bloodywood (I think he is the guitarist and main composer) has posted a very interesting video explaining the songwriting and production processes for this song.

Good reaction (I'm guessing it was blocked, I only just found it by chance?), this is a fun song ... no surprises as Electric Callboy are good fun. This collaboration was actually BABYMETAL's idea - they were wanting to make a song that would be pure fun, one that people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing. They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time last year) and met up backstage with them before the show. 'RATATATA' was the result. After a lot of back and forth and over 20 rewrites and variations etc they finally agreed on this final version. It is a straight 50-50 collaboration, but it is very much in the EC style. They have played it live together 8 times at festivals in Japan and Europe with either Kevin and Nico (EC's singers) joining BABYMETAL in their set or BABYMETAL joining EC in their set.

ASAMI, the vocalist, has a great vocal technique to sing as she does, that's why she can endures an almost two hours live concerts without suffering. As someone said in a documentary video, ASAMI is a "Machine of high notes". Her nickname in the band is "The One and Only Voice". And the same goes to HARUNA, the drummer, she also has a technique to last all the live concerts almost at fast pace in each song. She is an absolute mini nuclear powered device. Her nickname in the band is "Little Big Engine" 'cause she is only 4'9".
