    Thank you for this!
I just love Amorphis. Tomis singing and growls go straight to my heart. Melodies are important to me when I'm listening music, and Amorphis has so many great melodies (guitars etc.)

Children of Bodom is definitely top tier Nordic melodeath. Alexi is deeply missed.

ahh hell yeah :) if this song were to be transformed into something other than a song, that form would be one of the best hugs of one's life.

"Amongst Stars" is a song about taking a journey and finding peace and freedom in the sky. It encourages the listener to close their eyes, give in to the night, and soar above the stars. The first verse paints a picture of escaping from the cares of the past and focusing instead on the beauty of the night sky. The chorus serves as a reminder to follow the "thread of gold" and the "path of stars" in order to find salvation and liberation. The song further encourages the listener to take the journey into the unknown, while the bridge lifts the listener up to the highest point of emotion, through the repetition of the word “Rise”. Throughout the song, the juxtaposition of light and darkness serves as a metaphor for hope, peace, and comfort as one passes through life’s uncertainties.

Anneke is a amazing Dutch singer. Same generation than Floor, idk if Simmone Simmons is as old as them. But yeah, Nederlands keep pumping out these amazing ladies somehow.

Floor was born 1981 and Simone 1985, they have been friends for long time and are more the same generation. Anneke was born 1973 and was the reason Floor wanted to became metal singer (they are friends too, ofcourse).

I was so hyped after the intro, but then came the pronouncing Finnish part and the flashbacks from all the foreign languages classes. Luckily the song is an uplifting and soothing one. A Finnish metal pioneer Kimmo Kuusniemi has stated that Finnish metal is actually fundamentally Finnish folk music. And as it happens, folk music as a genre has been one of Finland's successful music exports. E.g. bands like Värttinä and Loituma. Värttinä has recorded E.g. for the Peter Gabriel's world music record label. Amorphis too has recorded a Finnish folk song titled 'Eriskummallinen kantele' (Peculiar Kantele'), which is about music and the Finnish national instrument 'kantele'. E.g. Loituma has recorded a good version of the song. Amorphis made their English version before the current vocalist Tomi Joutsen joined the band and the song is titled 'My Kantele': "Amorphis - My Kantele (Acoustic Reprise)". Having gone though different genres and having had different vocalists, Amorphis has different eras regarding their albums. The band is also regarded as the Godfather of Finnish Folk Metal. That Korpiklaani something (recommended song: "Korpiklaani - Beer, Beer") is one of the major Finnish folk metal bands. The other ones of the so-called 'Big 5' are Ensiferum, Turisas, FInntroll and Moonsorrow. Poets of the Fall was founded when they made music for the 'Max Payne 2' and became popular. The 80s' Finnish punk gained popularity abroad also. E.g. Sepultura's Max Cavalera has named the Finnish hardcore band Terveet Kädet as one of his favorite bands. Also Hanoi Rocks came from the same circles. Andy McCoy was part of the one of the first Finnish punk bands called Briard. With Hanoi Rocks' popularity, also other Finnish bands tried to make it abroad. One of them was Smack. Nirvana covered their song 'Run Rabbit Run' live. Based on the your songs I listened, I'd recommend you these songs. First one is topical here in Finland. Right after Amorphis sets the mood: "Amorphis - Black Winter Day", "The Heartburns - Cold Hell Below", "Rytmihäiriö - Viinahampaat", "Stone - Overtake", "Santa Lucia - Perse Palaa", "Doom Unit - Killing Time", "Before the Dawn - Deadsong", "Diablo - The Preacher", "Torture Killer - I Chose Death", "Impaled Nazarene - Blood Is Thicker Than Water" and "Barathrum - Last Day In Heaven".
