Not all truckers love their job like you. I’m a yard switcher at FedEx Ground in Indiana and not many drivers that come through seem like they enjoy their job as much as you. So seeing this makes me happy, safe travels!

Yes I am loving the positivity. So many guys are negative and I know the truck driving business is rough. I will be attending CDL school soon. I am so glad I came across your video. It really gave me a more positive outlook on being a truck driver. Keep up the good work.

Used to go into most of the Chicago rails. Willow Springs was about the best, BN Cicero and House 9 were ok once you learned your way around, UP under I-55 could get tight... Going back behind Comisky Park could get dangerous at times. Been to CSX and NS and some of the others. Always freight in Chicago.

I used to drive to the Long Beach and Oakland shipping ports and let me say it is wild and crazy it takes long to get in and it takes long to get out. I've seen trucks crash in there, I've seen fights, seen container handlers drop containers. Anything you can think of shit even truckers unhooking their loaded chassis without putting the legs down on purpose no one cares in there. Good luck when they go on lunch an extra hr of wasted time for you, also had a couple protests so people would block off entrances making it harder for us. Never going back to doing that shit here in cali

I started off driving tractor trailers at FedEx and now I'm at UPS but I'm considering doing something a little different. I'm local but will occasionally do a regional run but I do have the luxury of going home every night. Although I do make a good living I've noticed that some intermodal jobs tend to be more profitable. You're right Huntsville is a very nice city and Alabama is a beautiful state. I have some friends from Florence, AL and I used to live in Fairhope down near the Mobile Bay. I like the video, your positive attitude, and your explanation of the procedures while working because I'm big on doing everything the same everyday. It keeps me safe and everyone else around me. I think hauling containers can be a good job, depending on where you live. I know guys in the Jacksonville area that do real well. Here in the Carolinas, Charleston and Savannah seem to be in play most of the time. Of course, if you want to wander a bit further, Norfolk, Brunswick, Jacksonville, and Miami can get you out of your rut. You don't need a lot of chrome for containers (cans), so you can get a decent tractor for $25K and run it for a year or so, do an inframe when you want to take time off, and enjoy a relatively laid back driving experience.

As a former warehouse employee for many years, it's best to keep your trailer planted against the dock bumpers. Some companies dont have very long dock plates and it can be pretty nerve wracking when the plate is barely on the trailer. Back up to the dock until you cant.

Had to sit there for almost 2 hours till wreckers could roll it back over and let us out. Must of been going way to damn fast turning in there to roll it that bad. Be safe.

I only had box truck experience with air brakes aside from schooling and luckily got hired and they pay just as much as I was going to be payed otr. Im home early everyday. Im feel fortunate but at the same time am curious as to how companies are going to hire in the future. Here i am no hazmat experience and got hired right out the gate. This same company asked for 2+ years experience back 10 years ago, but lack of drivers has them hiring true rookies.

Great to see progress, I watched your day in the life of a coca cola driver last night and just seen this pop up on the recommended, best of luck in the future. 👍 🤠 🇮🇪

I'm a truck driver and local also but great content. At first I thought your content was for current drivers and was like wtf when you talked about turning and speed lol I'm only 7 years into the career but now I know you're trying to educate everyone lol. outside turn lanes a must no matter how far forward you slide your tandems lol Always slow speed even if you arent top heavy just so you don't mix your load lol Great content and glad someone like you can educate ppl.

Enjoyed your video mate. I’ve got container pins on my trailers but I’ve only put containers on 3 times in 10 years lol.
