    Thank you very much for this demonstration. You know the cording like this is way better than the stretchy elastic which always breaks. From Canada!

    QUESTION: I know this can be bought as a kit, but if I wanted to make many of these, would I buy 2 different kinds of thread/cord? Can just one kind of cording be used for the whole bracelet? Thanks!

    • @thebeadgallery
      @thebeadgallery  4 года назад

      Hi Cindy! One kind of cording is possible, as long as it fits through the beads AND is the cord you want to do the macrame outside portion with! Aloha!

    Can anyone tell me. I purchased tiger eye beads with the hole 1mm.. The holes are small. Is that the right size to use. The cord looks like I'm never getting this cord thru there or is that why I need to use fishing line. Do I need to get bead with larger holes.

    • @thebeadgallery
      @thebeadgallery  2 года назад

      If you didn't get an answer, I apologize for seeing this so late. If the holes are too small, then you can use a smaller cord for the center string, OR you can drill them with a bead reamer to make the bead holes larger! Let us know if you are still having issues and we can email you some solutions! request@thebeadgallery.com aloha! jamie

    that was so interesting to watch. I like that you don't rush through everything, me being 63 sometimes it takes me a little more time frame to get it. How do I go about ordering a kit? Does it come with instructions? I love your beads and your music you play in the background. Many Thanks, Debbie.

    hello , how long is the initial string you don't mention ?

    • @thebeadgallery
      @thebeadgallery  4 года назад

      Hi! Your initial string can start at 3 ft, and then adjust from your next project depending on how much you have left over.. It's a hard call since everyone has different sized wrists, but hopefully that will give you a great start to measure from! aloha!

      We use .8, 1 and 1.4mm and they all work similarly! When we work with tiny beads, .4mm is our fave! aloha, jamie

    • @thebeadgallery
      @thebeadgallery  6 лет назад

      We use chinese knotting cord (the type that can be burned) and whatever size fits the beads. The cord ranges from .5mm to 3mm thickness, so use whatever fits the bead holes and or looks great wrapped on the outside of the bead. You can also use leather!

    You dont tell us the size of the cord to use, you dont tell us the type of cord to use, you dont tell us the length to use. Yeah that would be extremely helpful! 🙄

    • @thebeadgallery
      @thebeadgallery  Год назад +1

      Good point, as we made this as a video to go with a specific kit! Chinese knotting cord (which is what we used in this video) comes in many thicknesses ranging from .4mm to 3mm, so you will have to use what fits the bead hole. There's no generic size that will fit all beads, so we don't recommend a specific size especially with gems.
      You can make this with just about any cord that fits (which is awesome!) and if your cord is not burn-able you can use glue instead to finish. Length is determined by personal hand and wrist size and the cord thickness, so again, one of the trickier projects to give calculated lengths. Hope you can still give it a try!! Aloha!

      Hi! The fishing line is used as a "needle", so we fold it over the uncut thread side and pull it through.. HEY, I will add this to our upcoming videos, as it'd be better close up with video! aloha, jamie
