@@NobleKorhedron Brown trout aren't native anywhere in North America, so they were introduced - as were the rainbows, which are only native to North America west of the Continental Divide.

That bridge and the park where it is brings back lots of memories from when I was a kid. A lot of your videos, especially the trout ones bring back great memories of growing up in the St. Louis area and fishing with my family. Even though Oregon is now home and we have way better trout/salmon/steelhead fishing, the places you fish make me miss those waters.
Finally, I know exactly where you're fishing! You should take your kayak down that river and do an overnighter, beautiful place to do a float.

Nick, those are some beautiful trout! But I have to say, the videography in this episode was exceptional. I'm a sucker for snow falling in slow motion, and the shot at the beginning at water level with the snow falling into the creek was gorgeous.

Yes but many successfully reproduce naturally once stocked, I'm sure that's what he meant by calling it a "wild" rainbow. Those fish have very different genetics than the Wild bows of the blue ribbon streams.

You were using one of my favorite lures in this video. I love Rapala's. I catch everything from panfish to bass to trout to pike to musky with a Rapala. In fact I rarely use anything else. Try the original floating in silver and black. Whatever size you need for what you are targeting. It looks just like a small bass or a shiner. The fish LOVE em!!! Oh yeah.........excellent video, man.

Niceful video and beautiful fishes, congratulations! Your brown trout are very different from the species we have here, truly beautiful! The first two you caught were males, as was the rainbow, while the fourth fish in the video was a beautiful female full of eggs, this is the breeding period for them. To fish for them in winter I would advise you to try the spinfly with small silicon baits, it is much faster than fly fishing and much more effective than spinning in this period of low activity. Nick try's the no lure challenge ! Fly fishing is the only way thats possible , far as I know anyway . That is an AWESOME spot for Browns , maybe not for quantity , but the quality is there .
